the best place I’ve been to regarding glasses. I’ve had bad vision for 11 years, and the owner knocks every other places I’ve been to. his service is top notch, quick, affordable, and has the best freaking lenses ever. Not even a single scratch for the past year I’ve had it.

I found this place on Unilocal.My husbands glasses had lost a nose piece and my sons glasses where also slipping down his nose. This gentleman fixed them in minutes, all with a smile and cheery attitude and then refused to charge me! When does that happen these days. Would highly recommend this establishment.

So I have an old pair of sunglasses from Korea from the late eighties that I picked up from the Pasadena swap meet. The screw backed out of one of the hinges and was lost. I bought every eyeglass repair kit you can find and none of them fit.
I decided to take a drive up to Foothill Optical to see if they could help me. I met the owner Guy Mouawad. I told him my story and he found a screw, installed it, confirmed that they were really vintage glasses, and did it all for free. I tried to pay him but he said that the screw was cheap and the service was no problem
So I told him I would give him a great review in Unilocal because he really does deserve it. Thank you Guy!

I ordered a pair of sunglasses online and they came damaged. I paid like 50 $ for these sunglasses. I looked this business up on Unilocal and decided to stop by to see if my sunglasses could be fixed. I walk in and the owner was EXTREMELY nice. He took my sunglasses and showed me the problem and came back with a little box of tools and sat there and fixed them on the spot, which I did not expect. He was explaining what was wrong with them and first thought they wouldn’t be able to be fixed but then poof they were good as new, even better then when I first got them actually. We asked him how much for the cost of fixing the glasses and he said not to worry about it. Which I couldn’t believe. I have never been to this place before but I will ABSOLUTELY be back. Great man with great sunglasses and sunglasses cases like Guess and others. Very very friendly I am going to recommend this place to anyone I come across who needs anything done with glasses !

Fixed two broke glasses.
1. Frame front was broken — — he found a new frame and inserted the lens inside for $ 95
2. One temple was broken and missing so he found 2 matching temples and screwed them on the frame for free.

Went in today to have my son’s glasses fix that he broke at school the owner examine the glasses told me they could not be fix but he had some frames that would fit my son’s lenses all he had to do is shave the lens a little so they can fit the frame perfect which he did. The owner did all of this in about a half an hour so i was so happy my son really need his glasses ok for the glasses, case, shaved lense and cleaning i paid 35.00!!! Yes $ 35bucks for all of that. Everywhere else i went was over 150 plus i wouldn’t get the glasses today the owner here did it on the spot in and out in 30mins! I will definitely be coming back here and recommend him to anybody price UNBEATABLE! Fast friendly service best of all he doesn’t try to sell you stuff you don’t need. Thank you you have my business.

The owner was very helpful and fixed my sunglasses on the spot. He was also really nice and I would definitely come again if I wanted to buy another pair of glasses.

Guy is one of the best in the business, knows everything and anything you would need to know. Has a true passion for what he does as well has amazing stories. I would look no further as he is what is missing from so many businesses. Great glasses, even greater man!

A great small business. I was visiting from out of town and broke my glasses in half. I didn’t want to spend a fortune and knew they could not be fixed but would have to be replaced. I was given several frames to choose from that could be made to work right then and there. The owner is just the sweetest man, I now have better fitting glasses than when I started.

Guy is always friendly & there to help me with a lost nose piece or whatever without cost. He is patient & excellent in knowledge on how to fit my husband’s very challenging eyesight & glasses needs. We have been going there for decades now.

I heard Walmart had a cheap eye exam and cheap glass. I went they charged $ 58 for the exam and they wanted $ 120 for basic lenses, not including the frames! I heard about Foothill Optical Service from the exam lady at Walmart. I decided to to call them and he said the lenses started at $ 45. I thought no way and then when i went he said mine were $ 65! Way better than $ 120. Pretty pleased. He also said they woukd be ready in one day and Walmart would take 7 – 10 business days. Will definietly go back to Foothill Optical when i need new glasses.

I never usually write reviews unless I feel a business deserves it whether it’s good OR bad. My glasses broke, not just «a screw is missing» broke but broken at the hinges broke. I honestly thought I was going to have to pay another couple hundred dollars for a new pair after I had just gotten these in the beginning of the year. I walk in and Guy was on the phone but as soon as I was off he apologizes for being on the phone and asked how he can help me. I show him my broken glasses, he pops out one of the lenses, looks for a new frame, tells me he can cut the lenses to fit the new frame. I’m thinking «crap that sounds expensive» when he says «It will be $ 35 for the new frame, I won’t charge you to cut the lenses down.» Whaaaaat, OMG I seriously expected to pay $ 50 even $ 100+. Long story short, Guy is a sweet man and he doesn’t charge nearly how much he’s worth. Thanks again… will definitely be back!

Stopped by to replace a screw on my sunglasses after reading all of the positive Unilocal reviews. Guy was absolutely amazing. He did a fantastic job and I couldn’t be more pleased. Highly recommend this business.

I am so so happy with the services I recieved here! I have a pair of Tory Birch sunglasses that I am in love with and are absolutely busted! Guy, the owner replaced the lenses, straightens out the frames and polishes the frames for $ 25! It’s like having a brand new pair ! Totally recommend this place and he is such a nice man!

I called this guy, and there was some issue with the phone where I couldn’t hear him. As I’m looking for other places to go, he calls me back, apologizes for the bad connection, and asks how he can help me. He said that he does indeed offer sunglasses repair and I told him I’d be in shortly. When I got there he was very friendly, and got right to work on my glasses. Despite meeting a new screw and a couple of adjustments, I asked him what I owed him at the end, and he said no charge! I gave him $ 10 to at least cover the screw, and left with the best experience I’ve ever had with a sunglasses shop. Go see this guy!

I came in to fix three pairs of sunglasses and he only charged me for the lenses on one pair. Very reasonable prices and the owner is such a great guy. I would highly recommend Guy for your optical needs.

I buy contacts from Guy, and he is awesome! Whenever I walk in he is so friendly and willing to help with whatever. Orders are always on time and his prices are so cheap compared to others! He doesn’t take insurance though, but he also let’s you pay in installments or wait until you get paid, etc. who does that?
I really should buy some glasses from him too. Next time! Only reason not 5 stars, he only does cash or check. No debit/​credit. But that’s worth the price you will pay!

Stopped by this spot today upon finding it on Unilocal and I was not disappointed in the least. Guy had another customer so I had to wait, which I didn’t mind because I knew I would get that same thorough service when it came to be my turn.
I brought in a pair of sunglasses and glasses to get adjusted. He spent around 15 minutes on the both of them, carefully explaining to me how each should fit and waxing poetic about the nature of acetate and how people tend to throw away perfectly fine pairs of frames because they never properly adjusted them.
Great shop, A/​C was cranked up for a very hot day, and best of all, he did all the adjustments for me for free. Definitely recommended if you want your frames to sit correctly on your geeky face!

I lost a screw on my sunglasses and first went to Wal Mart to see if they could fix it, but they said the type of screw was pretty rare and they didn’t carry it in stock. I looked on Unilocal for another shop I could go to and came across Foothill Optical Service.
As soon as I entered, I was greeted by Guy who immediately came over to help me. He was incredibly friendly and helpful, and fortunately had the right screw in stock! My sunglasses were fixed for free and he even gave me some pointers on how to make sure the screws don’t become too loose.
Overall, great service and attitude, definitely recommend!!!
