I have been getting my oil changed here for a while now on my 1998 Toyota Corolla. The only reason i come here is because they charge $ 17.99 for my oil change, and that is cheaper than if I was to change the oil myself. The technicians here like at any other auto mechanic place will inspect your car and tell you the suggested maintenance. I don’t have a problem with this. What I did have a problem with was the last 2 times I took my car there the technician servicing it (some fat white older dude I think his name is Mike) was rude. His people skills are non-​existent. Do not expect him to be polite or professional in any way. If you are on the phone with him, he yells at you (maybe because he cant hear?), and when you say you are going to fix your car yourself he gets bothered and tries to force you into getting work done there by saying something along the lines of «It’s usually a $ 450.00 job but i’ll do it now for $ 250.00» and when you say «no i’ll do it myself» for the 3^rd or 4^th or 5^th time he will roll his eyes and make a remark like «Ok, well if you want oil to be leaking on your driveway». as he walks away. Anyway he quoted me $ 400.oo worth of work for an oil gasket change, a power steering hose change, and an air filter this past visit and I just fixed all of that for under $ 80.00 at my house. Now I understand some people have no car literacy or have any idea on how to use YouTube (the only place i have ever learned to fix my car), and this explains why he may seem like a «good deal» to some people, but if you can prevent a rude interaction with a man that seems unhappy with his life, fix your own car or take it elsewhere. Also, there was nothing wrong with my oil gasket, I returned the part because the source of the oil that was leaking was coming from the oil filter that they installed not from my gasket WHICH MEANS THEY DO SLOPPY WORK EVEN ON A SIMPLE OIL AND FILTER CHANGE. Pep-​boys will be getting my money from now on.

For the love of God avoid this place like the plague. The lifetime struts they installed in my vehicle had no model type and numbers. I think they must of gotten them from the junkyard because after some months of usage, one of the struts completely broke off. I brought the vehicle back in for examination & they told me it wasn’t under coverage. I showed them the receipt & they wouldn’t honor it. I asked them for the type of strut that was being used & the mechanic told me he had no clue. What the heck?! Don’t buy the lie of their $ 12.95 oil change special because trust me, you’ll be paying a hell of a lot more down the line. Don’t fall for their scams, gimmicks.

place sucks took almost an hour for my car to be done plus the service sucked. the mechanics where all over the place!!! i recommend the arco station in azusa its super busy too but i felt more comfortable leaving my car there.

Never coming back. I was a customer years ago and they were unreliable and did not fix a dent that they put in my car. Accidents happen but to dent my car and not take responsibility and give me a hard time about it is unprofessional and wrong. I was told they had new management so I decided to go there again and it was a HUGE MISTAKE. Went there for an oil change and they offered to do my 60,000 mile service. I said go ahead. It took them 5 hours to do those two things and I was waiting there the whole time and they took forever. They did not even have the correct fluids for my car.

Took my car because of issues I was having with my transmission. I had jus bought the car and it was jumpy and shifting was jerky. They checked the fluids and saw that the fluids were black and told me they would do a transmission service on the car hoping that’d clear the problem and told me if it didn’t clear the problem that they would take it off the balance for any additional repairs. I drove it for a couple days and the transmission was completely wrecked. Took it back to them and they did a full diagnoses of the transmission and found it needed to be rebuilt or they would be willing to swap it for a new/​used one to work around my budget. I had them swap it out and they kept their word on their discount, had the work done in a day, a gave me a deal on a warranty. Cars running perfectly now, I highly recommend this place… ask for Ron

I’ve been coming to this location for years and I always feel comfortable with the staff, with the quality of the repairs, and with the more than fair prices. They have the best oil change rates in the area! Not sure why they’re so many bad reviews for this place, but I always leave a happy customer. Special mention to Lalo who knows his stuff and was always able to correctly diagnose and repair my car.

What a rip off. My son took his car in for an $ 11 oil change and they came out and asked him if he wanted them to change his filter. He said yes thinking they meant his oil filter. Later when they came out and told him it was done they told him it was $ 76. He asked why and they showed him the printout. Not only did they change his oil filter, they changed his cabin filter. Totally took advantage of my son. My husband called to complain and spoke with Ron. He sarcastically asked if he should just put the old one back in instead. Terrible customer service. Seeing as there are so many mechanics out there, customer service is so important to me. It obviously not important to them. This is why so many places go out of business and I am sure that this place will as well. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!

I wish I could give them less then one star. My son took his car for a oil change they tried selling him everything they could before the oil change. He took it to a different shop for the next oil change they said they could not do it because the drain plug was damaged at the last oil change. We had no choice but to take it back to this place. They said they could repair it but we would have to pay. This place is a scam. Beware ! Your car will need work after it leaves this place. Save your self time and money. This place does not care about it’s customers.

Found a Google ad for a simple smog. Spoke to Mike and he was direct and asked what I needed and when I could come in. He wanted to schedule out the appointments and that his technician took lunch from 12 – 1. The time was 11:10. He told me at 1:30 I should come in.
I did in fact come in at 1:37. I was greeted by Blanca. I told her I was scheduled to be in at 1:30. She checked the shop and verified that there would be no problem. Other people had walked into the shop and she told them the wait was about an hour (as they didn’t have an appointment).
At 2:30 I got up and realized my car hadn’t been moved at all. Blanca constantly goes in the shop to chat with workers so I had to wait a few minutes before she came back in. A mechanic walked in and told her he needed to leave to get an energy drink because «he had an f**k load of cars to do». Not professional.
Blanca went in to ask and came back to let me know it would be another 45 mins to an hour. THIS IS WITH AN APPOINTMENT.
I recommend you find any other place to get your car checked and repaired. Waiting 2 hours to get your car seen with with an appointment is unacceptable.

Totally satisfied with the repairs and great customer service!!! I was driving by and found this shop and decided to drop in for an oil change which I knew was a very minor need compared to all the repairs I knew my car badly needed! I actually was planning on going somewhere else for an alignment and then was again putting off the engine gasket I needed so badly until Ron told me he could do it all. So I gave them a chance and left my car for the day Saturday. Ron pointed out other problems that were extremely necessary, showed them to me and it all got repaired today.
***At a later date there was a bit of a hick-​up. I discussed the issue with Blanca and she was very concerned and assured me that it would be straightened out. The next day I heard from the owner and all was resolved. They were very professional about the matter and I believe solved it to my satisfaction.

If there were negative stars I would give them a million! Their name couldn’t be further from the truth, am never going back! I got an oil change 2 weeks ago and they forgot to check all my fluids (windshield wiper to be specific, God knows what else they didn’t check, I’ll find out eventually I guess…), and forgot the check the air on my tires, which I mentioned when I dropped the car off the first time (sensor was going off). I went back this last Saturday because they’re unfortunately closed by the time I get home from work during the week, and I missed them the previous Saturday… When I went back, I explained what they missed and that the sensor said my tire pressure was very low still. They said ok we’ll check. A few hours after I left (and they said it was all done) the freaking tire sensor goes off again, now they’re closed so I can’t go back. Sunday I went to get in my car and the driver side front tire is literally on the ground!!! Am cursing them and 3 generations back at this point! I call a road assistance CO and go to another tire place and there are literal gashes on the tire!!! Did they have a blind man checking my damn tires or what!!! And supposedly they sell and install tires, so they’re supposed to know how to check a tire, yes??? I buy a new tire and call them today, speak to the manager, Norm or whatever his face is, am enraged because had this happened on the freeway with me going 75 mph I could have killed myself! His answer? We are not perfect, I don’t know what you want me to do, we are not liable… No s*** you ain’t perfect, change your business name! Mind you, I stopped coming here a few months ago due to poor service and management and they called me saying there was a new Manager and staff and offer me 20% off my next visit, which they did not give to me on the brake job I did along with this oil change btw… so I came back… BAD CHOICE… STAY AWAY!!! Am telling everyone I know about how awful these people are!!!
Next step check my brakes before something awful happens…

Its the worse place to take your car. I paid $ 2000 for them to replace my transmission. I had to take it back 4 times. If that was not enough I just brought my car to another Mechanic to do my brakes he told me the transmission is leaking a check engine on it is on and they left the main frame bolts lose. The Mechanic said if it would of fell I could have died. Its horrible. People find someone else to take your car if you don’t want to get Mickey mouse job. So disappointed in them.

Very unprofessional! When I asked how soon my vehicle would be done (I was told 30 – 40 minutes for oil change– and it had been an hour) I asked the gentleman that seemed to be in charge.. He yelled thru the garage «hey… when’s the oil change gonna be done, there’s a lady bitching»…Really!!! You’re gonna yell at your employees? And your gonna use that kind of language? There was a small child nearby and other customers too!!!
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
And note, my car had been sitting there 20+ minutes with the hood up and no one touching it. the oil had already been changed.. Guess someone was supposed to do the «upsell». to see what other repairs/​maintenance items they could sell me. My family has been going there for a while.. Not sure what happened?? Don’t think I’ll be going back! !

This is a major consumer warning. Do not get any service done at this business location. I brought in my Car back in March because my car dealer had said it needed some major work done. I was referred to this business by a family member and trusted that they would be a legitimate business. Upon getting a quote from the manager Richard, he told me they can cover the repairs for under 3000.00 dollars (cam shaft and tensioners) and that I would have a one year warranty and my car would be running like new. Long story short, I started having the same issue with the car not even three months after they did the repairs and charged me a whopping price of 2, 200.00. I took the car back and dealt with Alex who claims to be the manager but I ‘m beginning to think they are all liars at this business and will tell the customer anything in order to rip them off for some money. I dropped off my car for four days at the end of june and they never fixed the problem and then Alex had the nerve to tell me that they would never be able to fix it and that they charged me 2600.00 dollars for something that could never be fixed (1500 alone was for labor, What a joke). He then told me that I could not talk to the owner, I’ve gotten horrible customer service. They are yet to call me back and keep giving me the run around. I am now in the process of seeking legal advise. I highly recommend that you do not do any business with them unless you want to be ripped off. If I could give them a negative star I sooooooooo would.

Awesome please, honest mechanics. Very personable and very nice. Definitely will be going back.

I don’t know why there r so many bad reviews on this place. I have been taking my car for a while now, and I have never had a problem. Frank is always helpful, nice and very honest! I definitely recommend the place. They save me a lot of $$!

The front desk guy told me a preice for exchange a part 9n my truck but I needed to go back next day because they where little busy. Went back today and the new front desk guy wasn’t willing to give me the same price I’ve previously told. Wow. That’s not cool.

1. Called at 8:30 and asked if I needed an appointment for an oil change and that I planned to being my car in at noon. They said no, just bring it in and they’d take care of me.
2. Arrived at 11:30 and said I was here for an oil change. They asked if I had an appointment. I said I was told I didn’t need one when I called earlier. They said I needed an appointment and would need to wait an hour and a half.
3. While agreeing to my 1.5 hour wait, another employee came up and asked the guy checking me in, «F*ck man, whattya wanna do for lunch?» to which the other replied, «Chinese sounds good man. Let’s do it.» Not good to tell a customer it’ll be an hour and a half and then talk about lunch plans in front of him.
4. They were playing the terrible, highly vulgar movie «The Interview» in the waiting area. Why subject your customers to an such offensive, disgusting, awful movie like this? And it was on a loop. When I came back, it had started over.
5. Called me 1.5 hours later to tell me my rear shocks were leaking. They weren’t.
6. Paid the bill. No «thank you» or «take care» or any other normal courtesies paid to me as the customer.
Won’t be returning here.
UPDATE: noticed my car was leaking oil the days after my services here. Made a mess of my driveway. Had to take it somewhere else to get it checked out and fixed. Turns out they used the wrong oil filter. Rookies.

Ok, yesterday I brought my 06 Chevy 2500 HD in due to it drifting to the right a bit. «Alex» called me back shortly after dropping it off and said that the upper and lower arms need to be replaced. I drove back down and Alex showed me the wear on the new tires due to the arms wearing. He also recommended new shocks and wheel bearings along with an alignment and tire rotation. No problem, makes sense. I dropped the truck off at 230pm and received a call that it was completed at 515pm. My bill was $ 3477. $ 2327 in parts and $ 940 in labor. I didn’t have a problem with the total for the parts, but I had an issue with the labor. I asked «Alex» why the labor was where it was at and he politely explained to me that the book hourly rate for the arms are 3 hrs per arm, so it was $ 600 for that. Ok, help me out here, $ 376 per hour, are you serious!!! They replaced upper and lower A arms, changed out the shocks, replaced the front hub and wheel bearings, and an alignment job in a little over 2.5 hrs, but I get charged $ 940 in labor costs. A dealership charges $ 120 an hr. Alex explained to me that he had two mechanics working on it which has nothing to do with the rate of labor. I have three family members that USED to take their vehicles here, but not any more. I know people all have their opinions on places they go to, be it a restaurant or a mechanic, but I am sorry, they are way off base on this one. Shame on them!!! I hope the owner reads this and makes a change. Oh, and they didn’t give me my old parts back, what a surprise that was. I will be contacting the better business bureau on this one. Someone needs to check them in a big way!

Ok, Purrfect Auto has remedied my situation. I can honestly say that I am a satisfied customer NOW. Not too many companies will take the situation by the horns and make it right, but they actually did. I commend them on making things right. THANK YOU!

I have been in the San Dimas area for most of the past 40 years; and I have been to many auto repair shops… These guys really do seem legit. Over the past year or more I have been going to Purrfect Auto in Glendora and have been completely satisfied with the service and prices.
They have never tried to sell me something I didn’t need, which is something I have seen quite regularly. They let me know where I stand on maintenance of our vehicles and stand behind their work.
