The Home Depot

I ordered a microwave online through Home Depot. It arrived with a big dent in the side. I called the 800 number and was told if I returned it to a store they would credit me back and reorder. And I’d get 10% off for the trouble. I took it there and Cynthia helped me. She gave me credit and called the online operator to reorder and give me 10% off as promised. Long story short the 800 Home Depot operator charged me more– the price had increased and 10% off was more than what I paid. Not right. I was returning for their error. I shouldn’t pay more. Cynthia agreed and really went to bat for me. Had the store manager get involved to do the right thing. In the end I got a discount from online operator but was still more than I originally paid. Since that was not acceptable to the store they discounted another purchase for me which made up for the difference. I love the store and will NEVER order online again. Thank you to Cynthia and the manager for making this right.

Doing a home remodel and have been at Home Depot quite often over the past few weeks. Everyone we’ve dealt with has been very professional and courteous. Had jack come out and measure the house for carpet, I have to say he was truly wonderful to work with. If you need carpet go see Jack !!

I went to Home Depot to work on a bathroom remodel and no one was there to assist me. I followed up with a phone call and was told they left for the day. Today I called back again and no one answered the telephone in that department. I spent 30 minutes calling back several times and was put on hold endlessly. There is a horrible beeping sound in your ear while on hold and when I asked to speak to a Manager, no one ever picked up. Thankfully, there are several other home stores that do want my business!

Went to Home Depot to pick up some tile on Friday. Cynthia in the flooring department saved the day by gladly helping me load over 1300 lbs onto my cart. Then just when I thought I would have to load my heavy purchase onto my truck alone– another friendly employee helped me load everything (forgot his name). Thank you Home Depot for hiring such helpful employees. It does not go unnoticed.

Customer service representative Adriana was very rude. She has no manners. She slammed all my return items to let me know she wasn’t happy about my return items. I definitely won’t be shopping there any more. Stop being so lazy and do your job.

Don’t buy ANYTHING green tag clearance at Home Depot! !! I bought a new door complete with frame that was marked down to a good price and it turned out to be warped. Didn’t know it until we tried to install it. The manager wouldn’t take it back for credit or adjust the price of a replacement. Think I’ll take my business to Lowe’s in the future. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

This is a store. .somewhere in the land between… why did they put one here.. and. how does this place survive /​land. ?.. Moving on.
The store is somewhat different from others. as the H.D. in Orange, Ca… looks like it’s been run over by a construction truck. always. and. this one is. tidy clean.
The store carry’s a different stock than most H.D.‘s and seems to be somewhat smaller. but. who cares. if you’re there a light bulb.
The store is in a bizarre mix of other stores in a shopping center. where… one has to think. «Why did they put this here. and. were they expecting a building boom. in the middle of this. um. inconvenient part of the planet?» Type of thought.
Eh. good for small things. staff is friendly. but it’s definitely strange. as in bizarre. LOL

Today I was searching for a solution to a friend’s problem with his car. He is extremely crunchie (vegan organic and researches everything) so I was looking for a miracle. I found this miracle on your website and it said that a store (your store) not too far from me, it was in stock! Yay i went straght to customer service where I found a very kind and knowledgeable older gentleman who walked me clear to the other side of the store listening to my story and thought he Item i was looking for was really cool! We did not locate it and since it was past his time to go home (bless his little heart) he found someone else to help me! This gentleman too offered another area to look and we did not find it! He did not give up there! It said it was in the electrical department but did not have a home but there were 6 in stock, so he got a guy from electrical to help me! At this point 3 people had helped me and they all were very kind again we did not find it aso 2 other guys joined our search! We found it in back stock on the top of a shelf! The 1^st guy in the electrical department was super excited to see this item and ended up saying he was going to buy that for a christmas present for his family. Thank you all 5 of your employees for making my day and actually helping me find something for my friend! It would have been easy, on one of your busiest days black friday) to just say «no it must be a mistake I am sorry!» I wish I had gotten names because these 5 men gave super extraordinary customer service and deserve to be thanked properly!

Just bought a condo and was in need of carpet. Walked into this store without a clue and I was greeted by Jack in the carpet department who understood what I needed and help me pick out a carpet. He is very attentive kind and most of all very patient. He made my purchase pleasant quick and most of all I left the store reassured that all of the carpet installation will be arranged by Home depot… Thanks Jack the carpet man :-)

Darryl from the Home Appliance dept was very helpful, patient and knowledgable about the products. Despite being a busy holiday, he managed to help us answered curious questions. Came back the next day with a final purchase decision ! Yay!

I called Home Depot for a Bathroom quote back in early summer 2015. They sent someone from OC Installers out to my house. A couple months later when I wanted to move forward with the quote, I called Home Depot back to make it happen and they had NO record of the appointment in their system and of course no record of the quote, so they said they would have the installer come back out and promised they would put the appointment in the system.
The installer came back out and had completely different pricing for my 2 bathrooms, said, «our Home Depot pricing changed». They now were quoting us $ 30k for 2 bathrooms (previously $ 10K for labor plus material). Then 2 days later the Installer calls me back and said the price is now $ 28K. Then 2 weeks later the Installer said they can do the bathrooms for $ 22K.
I called Home Depot Glendora yesterday (10÷28÷15) to tell them what was going on and said I’m not sure if I’m getting a fair price. They had no record of the pricing in their system and they told me, «Thats the only Installer for your area and they shouldn’t be changing prices.» Couldn’t help me at all.
Thanks Home Depot! Way to make sure your bathroom installers are treating their customers fairly with pricing! Should really track and pay attention to this!

It’s so annoying when you call just to get hung up on. How do you not know the difference between transfer, hold, and hang up. Wow! Then to top it off you can never get ahold of the correct department ever.
Update: I will never order a specialized product at this store. They have a horrible response time. They left a message telling me my order would be ready a week earlier than expected. It’s a week and a day later I still don’t have my product installed. Not to mention they charge an arm and leg to install. Horrible horrible service.

Just like most HD, same old bs.
Good luck trying to get help in this place. Everything is a mess most of the time. There is a few people that work their that will go out if there way to help you. I like ace must better.

It’s like almost any other Home Depot, though on the lower end of the normal pool.
People are very helpful most every time that I go, and I’ve even found some really talkative associates where I’ve found myself holding a life conversation for over 15 minutes.
Their garden center is really pathetic, though, so major points off for that.

Our cashier Robert was great! He struck up a funny conversation while we were paying and was just generally very pleasant. He’s why I’m writing this review but the staff in general were helpful without being annoying, which was nice.

This is a pretty typical Home Depot store. Staff is friendly enough. There are plenty of stores and restaurants around the area, so it’s easy to multi task and get lots of things done in one trip.

Prices are better than Lowes but the store is not as nice and its hard to get help at either. They always have what I need for a better price than the other guys. if they can fix the customer service they would certainly do better

I actually visit quite a few different Home Depot stores… Not just my local one. The store, with a nearby Walmart, in and out, and various other shopping spots, is pretty good. The store seems larger than many, with a well appointed garden section, and the usual «more than you could ever possibly know what to do with unless you were an engineer» sections inside the store.
The four-​star rating reflects two things: one, it’s a little difficult sometimes to find anyone to help you in the store if you have questions; and two, access to the store from Lone Hill is actually pretty difficult, with the service road of permanent cones, no left turn signs, ridiculous stop lights, And other roadblocks.
On our most recent trip, my son and I found exactly what we were looking for — — a variety six pack of cherry tomato plants for our driveway garden, and plenty of soil amendments to break up the clay. The lady at checkout was very kind, despite the person in front of us who was much less than kind to her.
I suppose that with any home-​improvement effort you might be facing — — gardening, electrical, plumbing, paint, or anything else — — If you know what you’re doing, Home Depot is a great store. if you don’t, there’s always YouTube, or plan on spending a little extra time in the store tracking down someone with a time and know how to assist you with your purchases.
Still, Home Depot is one of my favorite toy stores, and I will be back.

Stopped by this Home Depot this afternoon around 1:30 pm with my husband. I ended up purchasing a vacuum on line last night during their special after Thanksgiving sale weekend (black Thursday/​Friday, etc) and received a text message at 6:30 am that my item was ready for pick up (I chose to pick up this item in store instead of paying the $ 14 delivery fee).
After we parked, we headed to the customer service desk to pick up my online order. We waited longer than we wanted to before it was our turn to pick up my vacuum (the party ahead of us was taking a long time and then when that party was done, the employee went on a break). But the employee who helped us acknowledged that we had waited a long time and apologized for the wait. He was friendly and efficient at getting our transaction done ASAP. Shortly after, we were on our way out the door with our vacuum and into our car, onto our next shopping trip.
By the way, this Home Depot is located in the same plaza as Sam’s Club and right across the street from Kohl’s.

It was unprofessionalism, contempt and finger pointing the entire process.
Save yourself!!! Go somewhere else!
You deserve better.
Delivery and installation company is even worse.
