G View Nails

I have been going to G View Nails for years. They are always nice, welcoming, warm atmosphere, and do great work for a reasonable price.
No chip does not mean you can do construction work and expect them to stay flawless. I have never had an issue. Not sure what the negative reviewers expect, well, besides… perfect work, nails that don’t chip, everybody’s attention on only them for free! Its a reasonably priced manicure. Spend the money and go to a spa if you need an hour of pampering. But you don’t want to pay for that do you?
Anyways, G View Nails is great. If you expectations are reasonable.

Very nice and accommodating ladies here. I called at 6 to see if they had anything and that I was 15 minutes away and they said come on in even though they close at 7. Very polite, treated me like a guest, took my coat, got me a delicious lemon decaf tea and tripped over themselves to help me feel comfortable. I got a very good manicure and pedicure and the stone foot massage was awesome. I will come back, especially with more time to spare, to really be able to enjoy the experience.

Great prices. Great service. And overall great atmosphere. The girls working in this salon are very friendly and professional. They do a great job! At the same time I really appreciate the accuracy and preciseness with girls do with each nail. My daughter and her friends get their nails done here before every dance and they always come out fabulous. Highly recommended for anyone in the glenview area.

I have been here twice now and really like it. Very nice and attentive staff, relaxing & clean atmosphere and they have done great pedi’s both times. They even massaged my legs & feet with hot stones today which was a nice treat. And I love places that give a little shoulder massage while your nails are drying. I would recommend.

I went to G-​View nails with my whole family for manicures. My mom had a shellac manicure, my sisters had manicures and I did a no-​chip manicure. The people are so nice and the facility was very clean but the quality of the work was poor. I was not impressed with the way my nails were done which felt rushed and chipped within three days. I am including photos. Lastly, although they said I could come back to fix them, I preferred to be refunded as I did not have time to return for it and nor did I want to return again. They were combative about it and could not accept that my nails were chipped and peeling. Unfortunately, I will not return. If you’re a nail salon and can’t perform the most basic functions and are not willing to own up to your work, then you don’t deserve my business.

I got a manicure there 5 days ago and my nail polish is almost completely gone and they did an awful job on my cuticles. They rushed me through. Was probably in and out in 15 minutes. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Glenview has way better and cheaper places to offer than this over priced mess of a salon.

This is the only place I’ll go for mani/​pedis now. While it’s not the cheapest, you get your bang for your buck. The salon is always spotless, the ladies are friendly and professional (they don’t talk with each other in front of you & they help each other out with cleanup as the appointment progresses), they always offer tea/​water, the pedicure includes a hot stone massage, there’s a brief chair massage at the end, AND they have those stamp cards for a free service.
The only thing I’d change here, is that I wish they’d use new emery boards for each client, but other than that, it’s wonderful!

Great place. I got a gel manicure ($ 35) and it came out perfect. The lady was really thorough and took time on my cuticles. They have a wide arrange of color too. Everyone was really nice and made sure that I felt comfortable. Usually I go to whatever nail salon that I see but will stick to this one from now on. This place is slightly hidden so make sure to keep an eye out for it.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now and have had nothing but great experiences. The staff is always friendly and professional.
I go for the mani/​pedi special on Mondays and Tuesdays because its a good deal. The technicians are always very thorough and my (regular) manicures always last for a good 6 – 7 days before they start to chip (pedi’s last a good 2 – 3 weeks). The salon itself is very clean and relaxing.
I would definitely recommend G View nails to anyone looking for a good nail salon.

As a somewhat regular customer of this nail salon, I am sort of surprised by some of the low ratings and comments below. Take them in stride, as I believe they are isolated incidents.
I find the people here to be very friendly. Availability has always been very good for me — I almost always can get in within an hour’s notice. Service is not 100% — I have had one or two poor pedicures, so it depends on the technician, like most places. I say, find one you like and stick w/​her. Give it a try — it’s one of the best in town, in my opinion.
And the neck massages — I see another reviewer recommends against them. To me, they’re great and really just a tease — I always want more.

Great service and friendly staff. Being a guy I was a bit uncomfortable getting a manicure, but they made me feel comfortable and did wonderful work.

went in about 2 weeks ago for a mani/​pedi. the women were extremely nice. they offered me something to drink, took my coat etc. the pedicure was very relaxing. thats about the only good thing i have to say about this place. i noticed the nails were smudged before i even got home. the nails werent filed evenly as well. disappointed because they were SO nice. But i wont be back.

A friend of mine told me about G View Nails and how great it was so I went to get a mani/​pedi for a wedding that I was attending. The place is spotless clean, the women who work there are friendly, and they do a really good job. I would recommend G View Nails to other friends. The best part is the hot stone foot massage!

I really love coming here. I used to jump from one manicure place to another, never thinking they were any different, but here at G View Nails, they are different. They know how to treat their customers. From the moment you walk in the door they greet you with a warm welcome. If you come more than once they will remember your name and make you feel at home. The nail techs are absolutely wonderful, kind and fun. The prices are reasonable (be sure to check them out on Mondays and Tuesdays for the special priced Manicure/​Pedicure). They operate with the same practices that you will find at high end spas, except they are not snotty at all and the prices are awesome.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. I take my family and friends here and they all have a great experience.

fantastic job! I am used to places charging 30 dollars for a pedicure, so I was not put off by that, but I was rather impressed by how much extra they do. You obviously have the great pedicure experience but they also do a little bit of hot stone massage on your feet and legs, they offer you tea or coffee, and then a fantastic spine-​chilling shoulder massage when you are getting dry. They also put these adorable half-​socks on your feet which I thought was a nice treat, on top of the great massage chairs when you’re getting the pedicure. I had an extremely pleasant and relaxing time and would most definitely go back.

I was driving by and called this place few minutes ahead to see if they have availability, I was asked my name and told to come because they’re available. There were 3 nail techs finishing off clients and 2 ladies ahead of me. No one said ‘Hi’ when I walked in or checked whether I was the one who just called. I waited good 10 minutes, before one of the nail techs was able to talk to me. Once she got started on removing my no chip mani, she said that it was very hard to get it off… She cleaned it ‘the best she could’ but did not get the nail polish off completely on the side of the nails. Since I got brown color on before and changed to light pink, the old color is visible. I was hoping that she would fix it later, but it turned out that she didn’t notice… On top of that she did a horrible job cleaning my cuticles and cut me couple of times while doing it. Save yourself time and money, this place it terrible.

I go here about as often as I can afford. It is a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. All of the girls take a lot of time when working on your nails and are very friendly. They have a lot of colors but are also willing to use one of your own if you bring it with you. They always give a little message and salt scrub for their regular mani-​pedi which usually only comes with a spa mani-​pedi at other salons. I would highly recommend checking this place out.

I come here when I know every other place is packed because there is always something available. $ 45 for a mani/​pedi is pretty expensive, especially for glenview. Top notch salons are that amount. I gave this review 1 star due to availability.
HOWEVER — I have had a kink in my neck for about a week and just realized it was from the chair massage. If you go here, ask for no massages (anywhere).
Pedicure Massage — she used oil on my legs, which was kind of weird. Also, it hurt a lot and was not at all enjoyable.
Manicure — Not bad, warm lotion which felt nice but it was much too short.
Chair massage while drying — AWFUL. NEVER get this. It is painful and I have spoken to other ladies who have been injured from chair massages that were done by a non professional.
If I am going to be paying $ 45 for a manicure/​pedicure, I will be taking my business to places that do not leave me sore for days after.

I had an incredibly relaxing experience at this nail salon. I got a manicure and pedicure combination (next time I’ll go on a Monday or Tuesday for their price special! — even without, the price was reasonable) The salon offered a wide selection of polish colors, including the newest OPI collection, to choose from. The nail technician took her time on my nails, and I felt pampered. Not only did she massage my feet and hands as usual, but she gave a short shoulder massage when she sat me in the drying station — which had drying fans for both the hands and feet. The color lasted about two weeks.
Unfortunately, the salon sits toward the back of a strip mall with poor signage, so my friend who I met there passed first passed by the place. She had made us appointments, but I think that walk-​ins are also available. Even though it’s a little difficult to find, I think the experience at G Nails is worth the search.
