Cool! I get to add to the 100% negative Unilocal comments about Laurel Properties, My perspective is from the neighbor of the renters. I sent a laundry list of complaints to the homeowner who passed them along to Laurel Properties to take care of. One of my major complaints was the unbelievably messy yard. Laurel Properties committed to cleaning it up and keeping it maintained. Guess what? You know the answer — yard is still a weed infested pig sty. All Laurel Properties is concerned about is collecting their share of the rent every month. Evicting the renters would mean they have to expend energy to find new tenants.

They tried to sell me a basement apartment smack dab in the middle of a 100 year flood plain and didn’t say anything to me about that during the walkthrough. I am thankful I figured out that information before signing a lease agreement!
My wife and I still joke about it when we see the laurel property services signs around town.

WORST COMPANY EVER. Annett Tallbul is the rudest, most deceitful, and greediest person I’ve ever met. We rented a high end unit (rent was in the $ 2000s) and expected decent service from this company. First day in the condo, there was no hot water in the unit. We call for maintenance on a Friday evening and were told to wait until Tuesday. In the meantime we were told to use the golden community center if we (me and my family… including children) wanted to take showers. It all went downhill from there. Don’t be shocked if your rent is increased annually by more than 20% after your lease expires (ours was increased by 25%). Stay as far as you can from this agency. As the other reviews suggest, regret is guaranteed on your part if you decide to go in business with them.

I have left messages for this company about 5 different times on 5 different properties. Not a single phone call back. I’m not exactly sure how they are staying in business if they never call potential tenants back. Now that I’ve seen the other reviews I know I’m not crazy. I won’t waste my time contacting them again.

When we moved into our place it was very dirty and unpainted. We purchased paint and painted the place with the agreement from Annette Tallbull that we would be reimbursed, however when we inquired about being reimbursed they told us that it had not been approved by the homeowner and they would not pay us back. Maintenance people would come by without notification. Eventually the homeowner wanted to sell the place. We were told we needed to leave so that the place would sell. Two months after leaving we have not recieved our security deposit and we now see that the place is back up for rent for $ 325 more than we paid originally. When we asked about what happened Annette Tallbull was rude and blamed us for the place not selling.
I only have experience renting from LPS and therefor this only a review of LPS as a rental management company and does not reflect their real estate operations.

This is by far the worst way to go for renting in Golden. If you are reading this review because you are considering it, seriously save yourself. The staff and operators of this company are so incredibly rude and unprofessional, you cannot even believe it. I rent a house with a few other girls and we are quiet, timely tenants. We have been accused of everything under the sun, including hiding some man in our house that was living there without being on the lease (a FALSE accusation) and threatened with eviction multiple times. Random mid month charges that only get explained/​removed after multiple inquiries have happened at least once. Emails go ignored and good luck trying to get them to fix something if it breaks. It is such a shame, the house is nice and it is a good location but this company is a nightmare and I would not recommend to anyone.

Unfortunately I cannot give this business less then one star. This has been the worst rental experience of my life. I have always paid my rent and other bills on time. I am a quite married woman who lives only with my husband. We have been treated horribly by the company, employees and even the owner of the company herself. They do not properly maintain or fix any requests in a timely manner. They do not notify the tenant when maintenance will be done. They have several times sent workers into my home while I was not there to work on something and did not notify us at all. The only reason I knew there had been someone in our apartment is because there was trash and wood shavings all over our floor around the areas that were being worked on… every time, despite our repeated pleas for notification. The owner just today told me if I had a complaint I could send it via email and that she refused to talk to me in person though I showed up at her office to discuss our issues. We have emailed every employee regarding our several issues and not one of them has been recognized or fixed. RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL BEST DESCRIBE THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM IF YOU CAN HELP IT. OTHER REVIEWS SAY THE SAME. IT’S NOT JUST ME!

We used this company for a renting out our condo and they were the worst. The lack of communication and customer service was astounding. You have to stay on them for lease copies, signatures, etc. They never return phone calls or emails.
They are trying to take over Golden in the Property Management realm, but they don’t manage the properties; we as owners do.
