Dioji is such a wonderful place for my puppy to burn some energy and socialize with other dogs. We bring him to the Goleta location once a week and he is always exhausted at the end of the day. The staff is fantastic; they are friendly, responsible, and very professional. Sometimes they email me pictures of my little guy playing, which is super cute. The transportation service that they offer was a HUGE help to us one day when our travel plans were delayed and none of our roommates could drive him to day care. I would absolutely recommend Dioji to any dog parents out there!

It doesn’t get better than Dioji! Our two dogs love their vacations at this amazing facility. From swimming in the pool to the non kennel sleeping area, this place is top notch! The staff is super friendly and take great pride in what they do. I love that our animals are taken care of so well while we are out of town. Thank you Dioji!

We absolutely love Dioji! All three locations are amazing. The staff are friendly, personable, organized, knowledgeable, professional, and are dog lovers. I could go on and on. We appreciate them even more because they do not discriminate against breeds. They accept all well behaved dogs. They truly are the best doggy day care around. They should consider opening a location in Ventura County because the doggy day care facilities that are available in Ventura County are appalling and do not measure up to Dioji. We would be lost without them. Keep up the great work, Dioji!

well, dont be fooled by the beautiful pictures that are listed on its web. The place is small and full of a bunch of dogs barking at each other. My dogs are terrified when they are there. Yes, the staff is friendly but the place is just too small for the dogs. They dont even have enough space to exercise or to run around. Please take your dog to a dog walker or nanny or somewhere else for the sake of your dog’s well being.

I’ve been taking my dog to Dioji for the last several years. The staff is always so friendly and I know that he’s well taken care of when we’re gone. Sometimes they even email photos of him playing with other dogs.
It’s hard leaving the little guy at home… but Dioji makes it easier.

I’m appalled and upset by my recent encounter with Dioji. I had taken my dog to the Agoura hills location without problem, and wanted my dog to become accustomed to the goleta branch because I was planning on boarding him there for some upcoming trips. I called to make a reservation and was told it wasn’t necessary but when I arrived I was flabbergasted by the number of dogs in both the small and large dog sides. If it weren’t for the campy décor, agility equipment, and pool, I would have sworn it was an overcrowded kennel. The lady at the desk grabbed my dogs leash and said «this is (not my dogs name) right?» And I said no. I explained we hadn’t been to the goleta location before and wanted to ask some questions/​let them know of a few things like hat I didn’t want him to be allowed in the pool, but she dashed off with my dog behind closed doors before I could say anything. I then watched through the large windows some employee grab my dog by his collar and the hair on his neck and YANK him through the fence doors onto a pile of excited dogs. While I know my dog can be a little overly jazzed and skittish, the manhandling is completely inappropriate. I asked for my dog back and received dirty looks from every employee out with the dogs. Upon getting my dog back, the original employee said «sorry, we’ve been having problems with dogs backing out of their collars» as if this is a reason to ever pull a dog by their hair on their neck and ears. Needless to say I won’t return to dioji and their lack of compassion.

My senior dog and I went to Dioji’s because I needed to board her while in the hospital. Although I had read the website info and checked out the Unilocal reviews, I still wasn’t sure how my dog would react to the other dogs. Her stay there was awesome. She ran with the big dogs and was relaxed and happy when she came home. Best of all, I was able to call and get updates on how she was doing. As a new dog owner and first — time boarder, I couldn’t have been more pleased.

I always take my dog here when I know I’m going to be gone for the night, or just super busy during the day. He loves the friendly atmosphere as do I! My dog has never had any issues with the other dogs and all of the people that work there are very friendly and accommodating.

Definitely the best place in town, always smells clean and fresh, not like cleaning chemicals. The staff are friendly and attentive, and very understanding of any dog’s individual quirks. The dogs are supervised 24 – 7, and special attention is lavished on senior dogs.

This place is amazing!!! Forty dollars gets your dog a full days worth of excercise and necessary interaction skills. My girlfriend likes to call and check up on our dog every few hours and the staff is incredibly friendly and even tell her the name/​breed of the dog she has been playing with all day! I highly recommend Dioji to every dog owner in Goleta.

Callie has been going to Dioji in Goleta for doggie daycare about once a week for the past many months. A little background on our «daug-​er»…
She’s always been super shy and submissive, particularly with certain men and certain dogs. Going to Dioji has helped her socialization tremendously over the past almost year! At first, we explained to the staff at Dioji Callie’s unique «personality.» They truly understood our and Callie’s situation and helped ease her in to the new setting. They even let us keep her there for a few hours free of charge, so that she could get familiar with the place, and also gave us an opportunity to run to Costco! :) After nervously shopping for a couple hours (we were expecting a call at any moment saying she was having a hard time getting adjusted), we headed back and snuck into the main building where we could spy on her through the windows. Much to our surprise, Callie was running around with dozens of dogs of various sizes and demeanors, tail wagging and tongue hanging. Ever since, we’ve brought her there weekly — it’s done wonders for her socialization with both people and other dogs (no more submissive rolling onto her back and peeing herself :(and no more fearful growling in some anxiety inducing situations. Rather, she’s become the perfect dog — and we can’t thank Dioji enough for their role in that!

I can’t believe I never wrote a review for Dioji! We’ve took our dog here for 3 years before we moved up north. Our dog went at about once a week and we would board her as well when we left town. They’re really friendly not just with the dogs, but with the humans as well. I always felt welcome showing up, they knew the names of all their dogs and that really made you feel like a family. When we had our wedding they were super sweet and accommodating to some of the craziness that comes with that. When we went on our honeymoon we knew our dog was in great hands. I would highly recommend Dioji for boarding and Day Care. We’re just sad there isn’t one in the East Bay. Miss you guys!

Great place for daycare or long-​term stay! This place is a wonderland for big, playful dogs who love to romp around and swim with others. They also have a smaller dog area for all of them to play without getting hurt by the big guys. The overnight stay area is perfect, just a ton of dog beds and pillows with no scary kennels. It is quite pricey, but if you can afford it, you dog will surely be happy!

My Saint Bernard went to Dioji for a the free initial day, and I must say, the staff was very friendly, and educated on how to try and socialize him a bit. I wasn’t sure that he enjoyed himself, only because of his personality, but the staff really tried to get him to interact, and introduced him to the other dogs slowly. He just stayed in the corner for most of the day, so I did not bring him back, but that’s only because of his behavior, not because of anything at Dioji. They were amazing with him, he’s just a big baby. I appreciated all of their efforts, and will be taking my new rescue there for sure!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Dioji! Our pups, Fern and Olive, absolutely love it there. We have been using their boarding services regularly for 3 ½ years. The staff is amazing! They are caring, attentive and genuinely love dogs. I always feel comfortable dropping our dogs off there and know they will be in the best of hands. Even when Fern had a recent (minor) injury while there, they handled it incredibly well. They called us as soon as it happened, set up arrangements with our vet, and then transported Fern there and kept us updated. I even received a call a few days later from the wonderful employee who handled the situation to check on how she was doing. They are also very understanding and attentive to any special needs, requirements or medications.

This place is like Disneyland for my puppy! He gets really excited as soon as we get there and can’t wait to go in and play. Sometimes it breaks my heart a little to see him so happy to leave me, but I know he is in good hands. The staff is wonderful; they remember all the dogs’ names and they always give updates on who my puppy plays with.
We have only had experience with daycare, and boarding is very pricey, but should the circumstances arise I would definitely trust boarding him at Dioji because I know it is a place where he is happy and comfortable.

I LOVE DIOJI! I seriously can’t rave enough about them. They are incredibly nice, the grounds are very well-​kept, and they always have my puppy happily exhausted for me by the time I get back. The staff is very attentive and know my dog by name before I even say anything.
Pricing is pretty fair too. For a full day of puppy play, it’s only $ 30. A half day is $ 20. And for $ 20 or so more, they give me a fresh smelling, clean pup.

The first thing I noticed when I started taking my dear companion (peace & love forever, Rexter) to Dioji is that the joyfulness is tangible everywhere. The dogs are allowed to be dogs — they can freely associate with whom they please and since there are regulars, they can form buddy-​friendships; they can romp in the pool or on the greens; or just chill in the shade on a cooling cot bed. While dog parks are good, Dioji gives a neutral and easier environment to play since owners are not present.
What makes Dioji truly great are the Staff. The previous reviewers are absolutely right, where the Staff are extremely attentive and knowledgeable, and connect with each dog individually. They are also caring, patient, and understanding towards dogs with special needs. When my Rexter started winding down, everyone was gentle and careful with him, monitored him closely, and let him have rest/​nap periods to make sure he wasn’t getting overtaxed. I felt completely comfortable and at ease with Senior Rex in their care. I am thankful to have Dioji here for the arrival of our new furry family addition. Dioji is not just doggy daycare, Dioji is family.
