Established in 1994.

Mattress Mikes was founded in 1994 with the simple goal of providing high quality mattresses at discounted prices, combined with outstanding customer service.

From our humble beginnings of just a couple of bed types, we have grown over the years to today’s selection of 15 hand picked quality beds and multiple furniture lines. Our clientele includes local college students and families, several hotels, and the recent furnishing of the LA Colburn School in downtown LA and of UCSB’s dormitories.

But success has not made us forgot what keeps people coming back…

Manager

Garret has been working at Mattress Mike’s for over 8 years. Every day he comes into the shop excited to help customers find the furniture that suits their needs and desires for a reasonable price that doesn’t break their pocket books. His upbeat attitude and enthusiasm are infectious and Garret’s love for the business is something that is easily recognizable. Since Garret started with the company they have expanded on multiple levels with the help of his drive and dedication. Many customers refer to Garret as the La Z Boy expert due to his extensive knowledge of their products. He has a gift for listening to the customer’s needs and has extensive knowledge of all the products the store carries.

My wife and I were looking for a sectional sofa.
We decided to take a look at Mattress
Mike’s before looking in Ventura.
We Walked in late in the afternoon
Not expecting to make a purchase.
We talked to Garrett. Great guy and he really knows his stuff.
We ended up finding exactly what we were looking for. We didn’t expect to get it until May.
Garrett called us at the end of March said it was in and made the delivery and set up himself.
All I can say is great service real nice local staff.

This is the kind of local business I am happy to support instead of going to some chain.
We walked in looking for a queen mattress and box spring. They were helpful but not pushy, and they encouraged us to take our time laying on the beds to get a good feel for the options. We picked one out on the spot and they delivered it the next day for free in Goleta. They also got rid of our old mattress and box spring for a fee.
The woman who helped us was Mattress Mike’s cousin I believe, so they keep it in the family. When the bed arrived it was firmer than we expected, but of course the show room beds have been laid on by tons of people so it makes sense. We were pleased with the price, product and service we got at Mattress Mike’s.

We walked in and were greeted immediately by two very kind gentlemen, one of which I’m sure was Mike but I was so wrapped up in seeing the couches I wasn’t paying attention. The other gentlemen (younger, beard. I’m terrible with names and apologize!) immediately brought us to the least expensive mattresses in order for us to get an idea of price and comfort. Then we worked our way up the prices.
I never once felt pressured to get the more expensive mattress and the salesman never got pushy or aggressive. He was full of information, laid back and honestly just seemed interested in making sure we got what we liked, regardless of price.
Great experience. My boyfriend and I are coming back for our couch next month!

Mattress Mikes really cares that you get what is just right for you. Mike really helped me the best he could and even though they didn’t have the mattress that was good for my back issue they did their best to make it right.

I bought a recliner from son Mike of Mattress Mike’s on Wednesday, and I had to write to say what good care he took of us. He let us try almost every recliner they had, was very knowledgable about the product, was patient and kind… and fun to deal with. He didn’t rush us at all. We were just starting our looking, and hadn’t really planned to buy that day, but I felt so comfortable with Mike’s help and the great product and good price, that we bought on the spot.
Thank you for this wonderful shopping experience. We will definitely return if we need a mattress or another recliner.

This place has THE BEST customer service. I bought a king size mattress and low profile foundation. The bed felt great but was creaking below. I thought it was the foundation which was squeaking. Garrett came out the following day, looked at everything and gave me several options. One of them worked beautifully, no more creaking, and we are extremely happy with our most comfortable bed. The price was more than reasonable and they sell Diamond beds which are hard to find. I have had several Diamond beds and they have held up beautifully and was thrilled to find them locally.

Friendly service and has student packages at discounted prices! Came here looking for a bed for my sister and her friend. The shop has their line of single beds ready on display and testing! We were in and out within an hour. They offered free same day delivery & setup and gave us free pillows (1 per mattress purchase).

So my husband and I just moved into town. Looking to furnish our whole house, we shopped around at a few locations in Santa Barbara, but had read all the great reviews about Mattress Mikes in Goleta so we figured it would be worth the fifteen minute trip. The whole experience was a total delight. We were greeted by Mike’s son Garret who was way more helpful than any of the other salesman that we had previously run into. He was very patient with all of our questions and was more than willing to explain everything a couple times if needed. We were there for a couple hours so we even met Mattress Mike himself, who personally made sure that we received everything that afternoon. My pillow and Bamboo sheets are just the icing on the cake. I had no idea that Mattress Mike’s sold furniture. My mom and I came here to purchase a mattress for my grandma that was moving into Maravilla but we ended up getting just about everything we needed for her apartment.
From a new sofa all the way down to new bamboo sheets for the bed we had just picked out.
Not only did they have everything I needed but Mike and his son Garret made sure that the delivery was smooth. They showed up right when they said they would and set up everything right where my grandma wanted it.

I apologize for the late review but these guys are fucking AWESOME!
While I assume they get a lot of business from the university, I would recommend them to anyone. Honest and great prices. I drove all the way from SF to get a bed here for my SB apartment. In fact, that is part of why I like these guys so much. When I called them, they told me if I made it in before 12pm, they would guarantee me same day delivery! They promised and they followed through. I was there first thing in the morning and could not have been in there longer than 15 minutes.
They are totally EAF!
