Forte Stone – Imported Granite and Marble

Wow! Wow! Wow! Run, don’t walk, out to see Rachel, John and Luciano at this family owned business. Service is personalized and not pushy. They clearly know their products and Rachel travels to Brazil to pick out the granite. Both patiently point out the pros and cons of the rock and will move huge slabs so you can see all your options. It is so very important to support local businesses and this is a business deserving of Santa Barbara’s and the surrounding areas’ support. Santa Barbara needs more small businesses with excellent customer service like Forte Stone.

I came here to look for a remnant piece for my vanity, but it turned out that Forte Stone had a very limited supply because it is a stone supplier, and not a stone fabricator. They showed me a couple pieces of remnant, result of full slabs that got damaged during transportation. I was more interested in engineered quartz, so the the owner suggested that I could buy a full slab of Copastone, and then sell the remaining piece at her store to recuperate some of the cost. Have you ever heard of any other business owner being so flexible? I will probably end up getting a piece of remnant quartz from a fabricator, but I highly recommend Forte Stone for anyone who want dramatic looking granite, marble, and soapstone. The owners were the nicest and most accommodating people I have ever met and you get that warm feeling after talking to them that they are the type of people who place customer satisfaction in the highest regard.
