VIP Tires & Service

I came in today for an oil change, inspection sticker, and a quote on new tires. I will say, the girl behind the counter is VERY knowledgable, which is a huge plus. Being a girl, I always feel like I’m not taken seriously when it comes to automotive topics. No, I don’t need ten thousand things, thanks, I need a $ 30 oil change and a sticker.
Thankfully, this was not one of those experiences. In fact, I felt really good about it.
At VIP in Bangor I was once told if I didn’t get the engine cleaning my truck would catch on fire while I was driving it. Really. That was said to me. I thought it was a little extreme so I took it elsewhere.
I’m glad I gave VIP a second chance (for convenience alone) HOWEVER my keys have been out of my hand for nearly 50 minutes and I am the first appointment of the day with what looks like no hope of getting this done within the hour. I will probably be late to work.
There is one technician working on a car that seems to have been here overnight. That’s annoying.
I DID get a decent quote for new tires to be installed next week. That’s promising.
F for timeliness, A for honesty, average rating of three stars. Meh. Could be better.

Waited almost a half hour to be helped and watched them fill out paper work in front of me instead of asking what I was there for. Then once they got my keys, my car sat outside for a hour before they took it in. All that was being done for work on the car was putting two tires on rear of the car! Mounting and balancing for two tires! They should have had it down in no time! But after another hour, they came and got me to show me that the lugnut had been snapped off and broken inside the rim, couldn’t believe it. Maybe other vip service may be different but this one needs some help
