Ace Transmissions

Went to two well known transmission shops to diagnose shifting problem on my 04 Cadillac Srx. Basically was told id need a transmission. Called Ace and had a very good consultation and decided to bring it in. I DID NOT need a transmission or a valve body. Went from a 12 – 1400 problem to paying Ace 350. They found what the others didnt. Cadillac is running great and its been about a month or longer. Would highly recommend this shop. They gave me a tour of the shop and all ! Im very picky about who works on my vehicles but the phone conversation was honest and gave me hope and it paid off. One very satisfied customer I am.

My 03 Mountaineer started slipping gears on me. Having 200,000 miles on it, I was nervous about putting money into it, however, taking a chance I took it to Ace Transmissions since they offer a NO CHARGE diagnostic. My truck needed a rebuild. What I appreciated about ACE was before doing any of the work, the manager explained in detail the service they would provide and the exact cost and time it would take. It has been driving great ever since. Thank you Ace!

Ace Transmission is everything you are looking for in an automotive repair shop. Their prices are reasonable and comparable to others in the area. They have knowledgeable mechanics that are able to perform diagnostic evaluations for you at no charge. Not only do they fix the problem right the first time, they let you know of other repairs you may need in the future. They really do take the anxiety out going to the shop and having your car repaired. You just drop your car off in the morning and it‘s done that evening. I would recommend to anyone who needs any car repairs to go over and get a free estimate. You‘ll go to Ace Transmission a concerned car owner and leave a satisfied customer.

When I went to this place in 2011, I was very pleased. They were polite and I felt comfortable with their diagnosis for my car. I am a young female and so I am very aware that I am easy to take advantage of. I was told that the alternator they fixed was under a lifetime warranty for parts and labor. This is a huge reason that I agreed to get my car fixed here. It is now 2 yrs later and my alternator went out again. I am on the east side of the state for school now and when I called them to discuss my issue, John, the manager, was a little rude. He seemed frustrated that he would have to look up the paperwork to find out where the part came from. 7 hours later John returned my call to tell me he couldn’t find the receipt anywhere. He had told me they had 2 suppliers, but when I asked how they can’t find it if they only have 2 suppliers he proceeded so say they have several. I’ll be honest, I was frustrated and aggressive because it didn’t make sense that they wouldn’t have any paperwork on this. He continued to call me snotty, refused to tell me any of the suppliers he worked with (the shop out here was willing to contact them and value the warranty), and made several sarcastic comments such as «this must just be a conspiracy against you». He also said «if I want to throw out paperwork after 30 days, I will». At no point was he polite or understanding. The shop out here in whitmore lake went above and beyond and did the research themselves to discover it was an autozone alternator and was IN FACT still under warranty. I was disgusted by his customer service and disrespect to me from the moment that I asked for his help. They will rip you off. I. Believe there is a reason he wouldn’t reveal is suppliers and why he became so defensive. He didn’t want to have to honor his promise on the alternator. You are better off driving 2 hours to Mazur automotive in whitmore lake. They have been more than helpful during this fiasco.
