Salon Nouveau

Extremely pleased with my first experience at the salon. I have been trying to find a stylist for a few years that I can build a relationship with. Unfortunately I have had stylists come and go. Either they quit their salon or just stop the profession altogether. Started to give me a complex. ;) I called for an appt. and was advised the salon was booked for a couple of days but a new stylist had an opening and she had completed their extensive training program. I didn’t mind assisting someone in expanding their clients. Boston, yes that is her name. Unique as she is did a wonderful job with my highlight and color. I have received quite a few compliments on my hair.

I was a new client and booked a deep tissue massage. Their website read 65+ and when my massage ended I was told the massage costs 95. I would have appreciated an opportunity to refuse the massage if I was going to be charged additionally. Bad business!

This salon offers a great overall experience. All the ladies that work at this location are so very friendly and helpful. This location is very inviting and clean with a large selection of products for purchase. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Samye Nagle. She has been coloring and cutting my hair for several years. I look forward to my appointments so I can spend time with her. She knows just what I want and I get the results expected every time. I am one that likes to change up my hairstyle quite often so we always have fun with it!

Very disappointing experience. I recently relocated to the area and explained that I have very thick hair that’s difficult to cut and that I was happy to pay a premium for a senior stylist. ‘Uh huh’ was the response I received. I arrived ten minutes early for my appointment assuming there would be a consultation. Instead I waited for fifteen minutes. The stylist was very, very young and fairly new to the industry. She began whacking away at my hair with very little discussion. The resulting hair cut was a disaster. She took out no weight (which is the first thing I asked for, even though it was clearly obvious that I needed it), only wet-​cut it using lots of tension (the opposite of what I need), failed to thin my bangs at all (which resulted in my needing to pin them back within days), and added shorter layers that I neither needed nor wanted. The conversation was awkward. She seemed disinterested in developing a returning client. Under most circumstances I would return to a stylist who didn’t meet my expectations giving him or her the opportunity to fix it. I had no confidence that this stylist had the skills nor the interest in doing that so I moved on.

Loved getting a massage from Jennifer m. My back has been so sore from carrying my two babies around and she was incredible! Very responsive and kind and good at getting to the right areas of soreness. Highly recommend!

I went in for a Brazilian wax and truly had the worst one of my life! Mind you I’ve been getting these waxes for years and recently moved to the area. I like to leave a small strip in front… the shape was ridiculous and the lines not at all straight, more like a blob. As for the labia, she did 50% at best. And she didn’t do ANY of the back!!! Zero! What the hell? Seriously absolutely clueless. Not only a massive waste of $ 65, but let’s just say I was mortified that weekend. Would never ever recommend a wax here.

Took my daughter to get her haircut at Salon Nouveau. (My daughter attempted to give herself layers about a month ago and really messed her hair up). Chelsea and Brandi took really great care of her and somehow managed to turn her hairstyle from disaster to totally cute! She said she felt special from the extra attention & care the ladies showed her. As my other daughter and I waited, we were treated to some yummy comforting tea. We ended up buying a bottle of it because we liked it so much! Overall, a great experience & all of the ladies there were very friendly & sweet! Will go back again!

Lindsay is really great. The cut and color are are fantastic. The salon is wonderful and a great place to spend a couple of hours getting beautified. Great location too, near all my places to shop.

My daughters and I have been to Brandi and Heidi here and we All intend to stay with them. They listen, do a great job, are nice and have been very nice to the girls about helping them with occasions. I can’t wait to try their other services.

Wow. Wonderful all around. The best in South Bend. If your on the fence, just go. You will be happy.

brandy (brandi? im so sorry if im spelling it wrong!) arranged my hair for me the morning of my wedding. she was attentive to my description of the look i was hoping to achieve, and it showed — it looked *exactly* how i envisioned it, both after the trial and on the day of the wedding.
i also had my makeup done, and speaking as someone whose makeup regimen typically consists of a tinted moisturizer, some mascara (in the pre-​lash-​extension era :)), and some nude lip color, it was absolutely worth it to have a professional application for the wedding. i did not have a trial — i just walked over to her once my hair was donesies and told her what i wanted (an enhanced natural look that would stay put as long as possible :)), and gave her my tinted moisturizer and lip color. she combined those with some of her cosmetics (i think primer was involved), and the result was exactly what i wanted. (incidentally, she achieved a hue with my (cheap + almost empty cover girl) lip color that i never thought possible with a simple layering technique. i ultimately wiped it off when i got home because, i know me, and i wouldve turned out like the joker in half of the wedding shots (because i am klutzy, and even the mere donning of makeup (to say nothing of its application) is rife with opportunity for embarrassing outcomes). but, man, was that a testament to what someone with real skill can do.)
both my hair and makeup lasted the day! impressive …
on top of the great results, the process was also noteworthy for its speed. what awesome + sweet professionals! i woke up anxious and stressed, but this experience took my anxiety way down — it really couldnt have been a better start to the day :)
