Specialties

We specialize in late model imports especially VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and Mini. We also offer full service on Asian vehicles including Subaru, Honda and Toyota.

We are a Tirerack recommended installer and a Pirelli dealer, allowing us to help you with your tire needs also.

We offer all services including air conditioning, electrical, diagnosis and repair.

We are also a tuning shop to get you that extra oomph from your VW or Audi. We are proud to offer APR and Stasis products at the moment with more coming soon!

History

Established in 2004.

Recently expanded to 5 employees, we’ve been busy taking care of great cars all winter. Looking forward to a great spring and summer!

We have been using autobahn to service our 3 cars since we moved to town 3 years ago. Expert and friendly service. They don’t nickel and dime you. Very responsive in helping answer questions and solve problems. They drive me back into town when I don’t have someone to pick me up when I am dropping off. Almost everyone in town that I know uses autobahn and raves about them.

I have traveled by car all over the country and every service station should be like this one. I have heard many stories from places like jiffy-lube about how they can’t find my air filter etc etc. I love this place-everyone should take their car here. The service is spectacular and they even drop you off at the coffee shop while you wait. I cannot say enough good things about their service, it is a truly remarkable place and I drive 400 miles out of my way just to come here.

I broke down in Great Barrington on my way from upstate NY back to Boston. I chose to find someone local rather than go to the BMW dealer in Pittsfield. I had it towed to Autobahn after hours and left a note; by the time I called in the morning Dominic was already on the case. I went over and they had me out the door and on my way before lunch. The staff were all very friendly, and Dominic gave me a few solid recommendations to keep my 90K 330ci running for the next 90K. All in all a great experience, great service.

These guys helped me out (gratis) one eve after hours when my gas tank door wouldn’t open, so I made it a point to go back when my VW had an electrical problem. How nice to find a friendly, efficient, trustworthy, high-quality shop (with no girlie calendars in sight!) Highly recommended!

Dominic is second to none, especially when it comes to expertise on European cars. Autobahn Service is a full service shop and most definitely the best in Great Barrington. As a VW enthusiast, I was ecstatic to hear that the shop is an APR distributor.

Dominic and team were very helpful this New Year’s eve, diagnosing the problem quickly and ordering the part from the dealer for the afternoon’s delivery. Dominic was gracious enough to stick around and install a new coolant reservoir after nearly everyone else had gone home for the afternoon /holiday. He’s been in business for 10 years and his business’ growth is evidence of the personal touch he and the team provide to Autobahn’s customers. I’m not a local, but I’ll be back for work when I need it.
