The avocado bacon burger and cheesesteak is off the charts! The service is your typical fast food place, although if you make an effort they will too. The fries are great but I recommend that you ask them to make you a fresh batch. Apologies and just let them know that you have been burned so many times on gross fries and would like to avoid any problems. Please, don’t expect too much from this place. They have a simple menu and nothing took extravagant, but the food is good. I have it 4 stars because while the food and service is good, dinning in in the winter time is not the best. It’s ungodly cold!

Showed up less than 10 minutes before open, and we’re asked to leave. We went next door to Chipotle, again, less than 10 minutes before open, and we were welcomed in and had our order taken! All before they opened. Save your money, don’t come here. Rude service.

I took the kids here for a Wednesday afternoon outing before we decided to hit the Nickel Arcade. I ordered 2 chicken tender kids meals which were 4.69 apiece. The french fries were nasty, as if they were sitting for a while. The tenders smelled and tasted like fish. I sampled from my children’s food because the big boy meal was too expensive. Would not be the first Boardwalk I would walk on … JTC

I was excited to try this place because I had heard some hype. Come to find out… it just a regular burger joint… They were out of chocolate so I couldn’t have a chocolate milk shake and on my sons burger they had accidentally put blue cheese cheese so he didn’t want it. Overall just not impressed, but at least I can check it off my list…

I love burger joins and was disappointed with this one on several occasions. The food is bland and dry. The service mediocre at best.

Flavorless half the burger and over salted the next. Even my burger loving five year old took one bite and spit it out and said eeeew. The onions on my mushroom burger with sautéed onions had only a chance meeting with the grill and found themselves crunchy and flavorless. The fried were soggy, most of them had black potato rotten spots in them and the garlic Parmesan fries were just plain gross.

I really enjoyed my first experience there today. Since I don’t eat red meat, I was happy to see a chicken, turkey and vegetarian option! Loved the fact they also serve 4 types of tea(2 are unsweetened). The service was great and the lady, who took our order was very knowledgeable. My chicken burger with mushroom and swiss cheese was big an delicious. They have a white & wheat bun option, the latter was a clear choice for me since I am not a fan of a traditional burger bun. I paid 10 $ for a burger, fries and tea. Sure, you would pay less at BK or McDonald’s, yet, the quality is definitely better here. I am sure I would pay them a visit again.

Oh, so delicious. Great burger, good fries, and an awesome cookies and cream shake! The fries were a little crunchy, which were to my brother and father’s liking. The shake was amazing. And the burger was good too. Great pure health place.

I think they are a little spendy. Burgers aren’t bad, garlic fries are so so. I see Jack in the box quality for red Robin prices.

The only thing that saves this place is the fries which are pretty good. However, the burgers are another matter. The burger was undercooked and actually raw in the middle. They say that the beef is fresh, but that is hard to believe. The tomato and bacon on the bacon cheeseburger were sparse and stale. Also, the price for a burger, fries and a drink for $ 11 was quite ridiculous.

Daaang, what happened!?! I haven’t been in a little while and went the other night, it is a different place. NOFUNNELCAKEFRIES!!! The best part of Boardwalk GONE! The hamburgers seemed different, they changed the menu and it was a little hard to read, the counters weren’t as clean as they used to be, and to top it all off they were out of chocolate icecream. I am going on a funnel cake fry strike and won’t be back until they are!

Great food. I love it(: the workers are really happy to be there. The manager helps with making decisions on what you want. The inside is opened up and really roomy. Recommended to family’s. Has something for everyone

This place is really good. You get to choose all the toppings and the burgers are cooked right there. I love the option of salad. Definately happy to have a better and cheaper place than 5 guys.

Burned our food — LITERALLY First off, this is a review of the new Boardwalk on SE82nd. They don’t have their Unilocal section yet, when they do I’ll move this review there. 2nd day they were open and they were NOT busy. One person ahead of us in line. It still took about 20 minutes to get a to-go order of 3 burgers and 2 fries. The person in front of us only got a partial order so they had to go back and finish theirs which delayed ours. Also delaying ours, one of the paper bags got too close to the grill and literally caught on fire. It’s cool though, they served us that food anyway… after 20 minutes… That burger still tasted as though it had been set on fire(because it was). Pro-Tip — if you get an order to go, the burgers will all be served dry. No ketchup, mayo, mustard, nothing. So if you like that, be prepared to add it at home. Seems like they’re oriented around in house condiments and not so much for the take home stuff. Hard to judge the fries as they went cold almost immediately. The ones we tried in the car seemed OK, but a little bland. No salt or seasoning. By the time we got home they were cold and inedible. Over all? The place is over priced($ 6 burgers), the service is slow and the food requires that the customer do ½ the work. You’re better off going to any other burger joint than this.

Can you say, «hella greasy»? That is how I would describe these burgers. When I first got in line I was prepared to order my own meal, but my son, who is my lunch partner in crime, asked if I wanted to just split an avocado burger and chili dog. I was down, as I wasn’t feeling super hungry. The one burger basket and one single chili dog with a drink was $ 15, I thought that was kind of expensive. The burger has okay flavor, but it is overshadowed by the greasiness of it all. The chili dog was okay. I don’t think I’d go back in, and I remember when they opened, there was a line all the way out into the parking lot and people were acting nuts. We went in at noon and it was us and one other couple in there. I think people caught on that there are better places, just as close.

Walking into a very empty, austere(and cold) atmosphere, I felt like I was entering a non-existent line for a very unpopular amusement ride. The experience at the register did not improve the feeling, although the girl was very nice, very knowledgeable and willing to help. The choices are numerous — too numerous, actually, the only choice not available being the possibility of having one’s burger cooked to order. Same old line: «We have to cook them well-done in case someone gets sick.» Too late! I’m already sick to death of that line of CRAP. If people wash their hands(as they’ve done since the 40’s through the 70’s), there is little risk of food-borne disease. Back on point, I ordered a double on white with cheddar and an order of fries. The burger itself, despite being over-cooked, was decent(better than Five Guys, but in the same category). The meat exceeded the size of the bun by ½″ all around, the cheese was plentiful, and the available condiments made everything taste very good. The fries don’t compare to Five Guys,’ but I have found that one just can’t have everything. In summary, I would definitely return to Boardwalk, but if I want a real burger and don’t mind the ride, I’ll go to the original Skyline.

Move quickly because this is a new joint and fills up quickly. It’s a burger joint and appears to be designed for easy clean up. It has somewhat of a sterile feel with the aluminum accents, slick colored tables and chairs and walls covered with its name. There is a wait. This is not a grab and go place. Burgers are cooked to order. The food won’t make you yearn for more, but it will hit the spot.

More like OK leave the A off, but not horrible. The service was great the people who work there were helpful and polite. The fries are good the burgers are burgers. Thin patties gray in color, kinda strange, no real flavor. I must say I am a bit of a burger snob so I really wasn’t expecting much. Thought I would give the new guys on the block a try but not impressed enough with the food to return. We have enough burger joints. Let the pubs do the burgers, for which they do well and yes you will pay more.

I am Unilocaling this review at the request of my friend, Emily. She took her 2 kids and 1 of mine(all teens) with her for the unofficial opening night. The main concern is that she specifically requested no grilled onions on her burger as she is highly allergic. One big bite into her burger, she realized there were onions. After discussing her concern with the lady that appeared to be the owner, who verified that it said NOONIONS on her receipt, Emily had to gather her kids and leave to take allergy medicine or she would have ended up in the hospital. The woman(who appeared to be an owner), did not offer to refund her money, offer any coupon for a next visit, nothing. The woman did ask for her name and number and said she would call and check on Emily in the morning. Guess what? It’s several days later and NOCALL. The kids, including mine, said the fries were good. They ran out of Coke and had no milkshakes as advertised. I hope this place gets it together, we need another restaurant in Gresham. Hopefully this is all due to opening issues and not the way it will continue to operate.
