Bought a sectional there two weeks ago. Set up a delivery date for the following Friday. They said they would call an hour or two before delivery. My wife took the day off to deal with delivery and set up. When she received no call by mid-​afternoon, she called the store. They were no help. They just gave her a number and referred her to the delivery service. She called them and they said they had no record of a delivery being set up. When she called JR back, the salesman told her that they do not set up delivery dates for exact dates. That is contradictory to the delivery date he, the salesman, wrote on our receipt.
By the way, this is a review of the Sales Force and Customer Service. We like the sectional and feel it was reasonably priced. We also found the delivery service to be courteous and helpful when they delivered on Saturday. My beef is with Customer Service who feels that their job is complete once you have paid for your goods.

DON’T DO IT!
We purchased «italian leather» sofa and loveseat from the Gresham store. It was obviously defective. The cushions began sagging after sitting on it a couple times, the recliner portion hung down and the back covers didn’t fit correctly. The leather was pretty but that’s the only good thing I can think of to say. Within the first week, we asked them to pick it up, even provided them with photos that documented the defects, and they refused. It is now 9 months later and we need to throw out this furniture and start over. It is saggy, unattractive, and because it sags so much, it hurts to sit in it. Frankly, we’re embarrassed to even have company over, it’s that bad. I have never seen such poor, callous customer service in my life. They lost our business and anyone else that sees or hears about our experience.

I am currently going back and forth with this company, I will do a biz search on monday to locate the owners and corp information. Resolution is still pending… I spent close to $ 7,000 and my $ 150 Ottoman was not delivered and is missing and they are not working well with me!!! BEWARE! BBB Suit filed!
When my girlfriend and I first came to JR Furniture, we thought we were in good hands. We were interested in purchasing a sleeper sofa from the company during their inventory-​clearing sale. We had discussed many of our requirements with the sales associate.
Being that the model we wanted was not available, he led us to a different sofa and explained to us the three varieties of mattresses that come with the sofa (Premium, Deluxe, and Standard). He then had us test out the Deluxe mattress and we found that to be to our satisfaction. Being that the sofa we wanted was not available at the store, it needed to be shipped up from their warehouse in California. We accepted this and paid for the sofa to be delivered sometime the following week.
When the sofa was delivered, we set it up and tested it out. The mattress we laid on was nothing similar to the mattress we tried in the store, it was in fact the standard mattress. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we figured a mistake had been made and that we could easily solve this.
I called the business the next day and explained to them that we had received the incorrect mattress and that we had been told that we would be getting a Deluxe mattress in place of the Standard. I was told the manager was out of town and would be back the following Monday.
Fast forward to Monday, my girlfriend and I drive down to the store and are told by the sales associate, that the manager is not available. Additionally, he explained that the sofa we ordered does not come with any other mattress than a standard mattress. When asked why he told and showed us a different mattress, he had no other reason but «Sorry for the miscommunication». I explained to him that this was a Bait and Switch and that we are not going to fall for it and I wanted to speak to the manager. He took my phone number and told us a manager would call the following day. A manager never called. When I finally got hold of a manager later that week (by calling impetuously), I was able to speak to him. He said he would solve the problem. Time went by and we never received a call from him. During follow-​up conversations that I had with him, he was unpleasant, did not listen to what I had to say, and finally unfair. When I explained it is not proper business practice to promote one item and deliver another and not follow through with previous commitments, he had nothing to say. These conversations continued until finally he proposed three options to us to solve the problem. These options were; Keep the sofa as is, pay the price of the upgraded mattress + $ 90 delivery, or return the sofa for 80% of what we paid for it. These options are laughable. When I purchase an item, I expect it to be the item I paid for. If the company does not want to make it right, then it is my expectation for them to refund the money and take back their product. To this day, after a month of trying to return this sofa, we have not received communication nor any other means of resolving this dispute. I have attempted to the manager to no avail as well as contacted their Corporate Headquarters to file a complaint; still no one has gotten back to me.
What a shame… don’t fall for these scammers!
