Business Owner

Dawn Gilkison is the owner of Positive Solutions Dog Training LLC. Dawn earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at Reed College, where she first became interested in animal behavior, and a master’s degree in biology at San Diego State University, where she researched social behavior in captive wolves. After teaching high school science for 15 years, she decided to change careers, and graduated from Karen Pryor Academy as a Certified Training Partner. A lifelong dog fancier, Dawn has trained dogs for agility, competition obedience, skijoring, and field work.
