History

Established in 2009.

Mary Jordan started in the party entertainment industry in 2009 with her business, Historical Ponies, offering pony parties, photography, and face painting. The increasing cost of insurance and gas added too much work for the ponies, so the ponies joined 4-​H and Mary followed her other passion for face painting and began Apple Cheeks Face Painting. Learning the art form from industry leaders such as, Gary Cole– owner of Snazaroo Face Paints US, Mark Reid– Master Body Painter, Pashur of Las Vegas, and Anna Willinski of International Award Winner fame, among others. She shows off her craft at such places as, El Dorado Orchards during Apple Hill season, for Meek’s Kids Days in Lake Tahoe and Meyers, and Placerville Police Officer’s Association Annual Charity Christmas Parties. Mary Jordan is an artist at heart and has been since a very early age. She truly enjoys working with children. Not only in her face painting business, but also as a volunteer coordinator for a school garden, being active with the 4-​H, and offering her services to local children’s charities that are close to her heart.
