Absolutely delicious jams! Shannon and her crew are incredibly mindful and creative about everything they pour into their jams including exclusively local (Michigan-only ingredients) love and positive energy! I have tried many flavors and have honestly LOVED every single one. Can’t recommend highly enough!

I’ve only tried their Peach Rosemary and Raspberry Lemon Verbena.(I think was the name of it. Only got it once.) I loved the Peach Rosemary, I usually put it on Pork chops but it also tastes great as a quickie appetiser with cream cheese and crackers. The other, I can’t say I care much for. But I intend on trying more of their flavors soon.
I would say that at $ 7 a jar they are alittle expensive, but that just means I don’t get it that often. This company also sells at Westborn Fruit Market in Berkley (Woodward Ave. and Harvard.) In their ‘Michigan Made’ room. They probably also sell at Livonia and Dearborn locations.

Update: My husband likes their tart cherry. The only tart cherry jam he’s liked better is this American Spoon stuff that costs like $ 10 a jar. Yikes! We try to support local when we can and get this when it’s in stock at Village Food Market.
OH YEAH. At this barbeque event, I had a burger with Slow Jam’s onion jam on it and it was AMAZING. It haunts my dreams. I want a jar of THAT.

This weekend I stumbled upon Slow Jams at the Eastern Market. The first thing I noticed was the flavor combinations. Most weren’t something I’d typically think of but seemed to make sense. After tasting a few of the flavors (4 to be exact), I was sold! I took home two jars; peach rosemary and sweet pepper. I had them both over the weekend. Peach rosemary accompanied homemade blueberrry pancakes and I ate sweet pepper with wheat Ritz crackers as a snack. I can’t wait to try other flavors. I wish they had a webite…

Seriously, you had me at the name!!! Genious!
Then you had me at curry! Meow!!! The tomato curry jam is ah-mazing!!! There is nothing like it out there… I want to schmear it on everything. I typically put it ontop of goatcheese on a cracker.
Also, super good is the strawberry jalapeño and hot pepper jam. Yummmmm.
These ladies seriously are genious! From the name to the uses of their jams. Seriously, who would think to make jam cocktails, jam tea, glaze chicken in the jam, their flavor combos are divine.
The jars are 10 bucks a pop. I am seriously going to stock up on them, esp. the tomato curry. What I would do to have my mitts on the recipe or do a littly zymology with these chicky moms.
Catch them at Eastern market… I pray to see them in stores soon… I will fait if they offer some classes or a cook book.
