Checked out SJ Family Camp for the first time for Family & Friends weekend Fri 8/​15-​Sun 8/​17, 2014.
It’s good for families with kids. Kids can do lots of activities and parents can join in or just watch.
All food & activities are included in the prices. It might seem high, but might be worth it since you don’t have to pitch a tent, cook meals, just show up and do whatever you want once you get there.
I saw kids and parents play 9 Square — looks like a fun game tossing the ball.
Dinner was from 6−7pm when I went. It’s served cafeteria style. You can pick what you want to eat. If you want more, you can get 2^nd. Drinks water, tea, lemonade, milk (white/​chocolate).
Campfire at 8:30 — 9:30pm — Michael & gang lead us in singing & moving around. Toasting marshmallows afterwards & if you want smores.
Sat Breakfast next morning 8−9am. I got scrambed eggs, sausage (2), hashbrowns, french toast. Tasted ok, nothing special.
Hike to Rainbow Pool was the highlight for me that day. Short walk 2 miles Round trip w/​our guide Frank. I liked seeing people cliff jumping and swimming in the pool. Nice waterfall even on Aug 16, 2014. It runs all year round because it’s from the South Fork of the Tuolumne River.
Lunch was pizza, salad bar, pudding. Drinks were water, tea, lemonade, whole milk, chocolate milk.
Afternoon did some relaxing in the Pool, which is a dammed up area of the Middle Fork of the Tuolumne River. It’s pretty deep, and cold water.
Did some Archery for this beginner. I liked that! I need to find some classes to learn more & get better at it.
Dinner: chili w/​meat, cornbread, chicken or tri-​tip, salad bar, peas & corn. Just ok tasting.
Did the Campfire — more singing/​moving around, roasted marshmallows. Did a night hike to see stars.
Sun Breakfast — scrambled eggs, tater tots, 2 slices bacon, 1 small blueberry pancake, crumble cake, fruit bar.
Note:
They have flush toilets in bathrooms, sinks, running water, free showers (bring own soap/​shampoo/​conditioners), electrical outlets in bathrooms.
Some cabins have electricity — I know they are in the 600, most of 600 was burned down in the Rim Fire 2013 so about 8 of them are NEW. Bring shower curtains to cover up the doors since there is openings that their velcro doesn’t cover up. Also, bring Plastic Bins for your food if you bring any into the tents — mice can get into food & chew through soft plastic bags/​wrappers. Or leave food in the Car. No bears here, but bats, raccoons, fox, mice can come by.
Bring your own lawn chair if you want for your cabin, none in the cabins. Cabins have 4 cots — bring your own sleeping bag, pillow. Cot mattress is soft if you don’t mind otherwise bring air mattress.
Bring DEET because there are tons of mosquitoes — I got about 6 bites in 2 nights/​3 days. I didn’t spray on my clothes or not enough since they can bite through clothes.
SJ Family Camp is good for families & kids.

This has been our 7^th year at SJFC@Y. We love it so much, my son (he was 9 years old at the time) spoke in front of the city board inorder to help preserve family camp! We have never been bored, hungry or gone to bed unhappy in all our years at SJFC@Y. All that for one low price. Pirceless!!!
The planned activities are great, especially some of the hikes. We would strongly recommend the Carlon Falls hike. However, one does not go to family camp to be entertained, per say. My son and I have found many ways around camp to entertain ourselves. Fishing, games on the patio, frog hunting, star gazing (with apps downloaded to tablets ;)). We can’t leave out floating in the «pool» or down the river. Oh, and let’s not forget Rainbow Pools. The leap from chicken rock is phenomenal!
In all the years we have never witnessed any sort of blatant discrimination or unkindness from other campers or the staff. On the contrary, I have witnessed more reaching out, sharing, and inviting behavior. Yes, there are common courtesies that are expected in everyday life. This is not a cultural boundary. For example, asking to borrow/​use and item, such as a raft, belonging to another. We have experienced this many times at camp. I cannot recall ever being turned down when asking to borrow, nor have we ever turned down a request to borrow at camp.
The dining at camp is rustic, but fun and friendly. Waiting in the line is the best place to converse with people and share stories. Everyone gets to the front eventually, right. I will have to say that this year’s food wasn’t as tasty as it has been in the past. For an all new crew, I think they did all right. I look forward to noting the improvements NEXT YEAR!
We will definitely be back for another year at this diamond in the rough!

My wife & I just spent 4 days there with our three kids 17, 15, and 12. The kids participated in a few of the activities but didn’t enjoy them as much as we had hoped based on all the reviews, If our kids were younger I expect they would have enjoyed the activities more. The food was just okay and the tents were primitive. We felt this is overpriced for what you get ($ 275+ per day for a family of 5). On the positive side it is a good central location for day trips which is how we structured our days after the 1^st day.

This was the first time my family has been here. I went as a kid many times and was so excited to share this with children. We loved everything! The activities were awesome. The meals went well for the most part. We did have one night where we waited a little too long for spaghetti but things happen. The staff quickly have us coupons for ice cream to help make up for the wait. My kids love playing in the «pool» and in the river. Miner’s island was their favorite. All the staff was great! They were all so welcoming and friendly. I must get a special shout out to Amanda who made my son, Noah, feel so special. Amanda really went out of her way to make his camping experience the best! Thank you to all for such wonderful memories!

Came up for the weekend and everyone had a blast! They have soo many activities to choose from. You can take a short 20 min hike to rainbow pools and go rock jump or just lounge on the river in a floaty. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Are last day we danced and sat by the fire. All and all excellent getaway and we will be back!

This was our first year going to a family camp. I’ve been to overnight camps as a kid/​teenager, and my family and I have been going car camping the last 4 years. But one of our friends suggested we all go to family camp as a group and we thought it was great fun. We stayed 3 nights, getting there Friday and leaving Monday. The staff was great. There were tons of activities to choose from, from arts n crafts, Animal Ambassadors, where our kids got to see a live tortoise and falcon, swimming games, PLUS because our kids were 6 and under they got to participate at Fort Tulomne, where you can drop off your kids (between the ages of 3 and 6) where they can play in an enclosed area with some camp counselors while we had a break for 90 min!!! It was BLAZING hot when we went, so we spent a lot of time in the watering hole and the river. You can do all the acitivities or none, it’s whatever you and your family want. The watering hole was fun, but be forewarned kids need to pass a swim test. They need to be able to swim from end of the pool to the other (the short side) in order to swim by themselves. If they cannot pass the test, while there are lifeguards on duty (when we were there the lifeguards were on duty from 10:30am-noon and 1 – 5) 1. kids MUST wear a life jacket and 2. an adult MUST be within arms length of them at all times. It’s kind of a hassle, esp since we have three kids ages 6, 3 ½ and 4 months, but we made it work. THEN we found the river and the kids just had the best time, wading around, playing with their floaties and we could just sit in our camping chairs and put our feet in the nice cool water. The food, while certainly not fancy was tasty and filling. Food for breakfast ranged from pancakes, french toast, eggs, yogurt, hash browns, fruit, toast, cereal, lunch was grilled cheese, sloppy joes, tri-​tip steak sandwiches and pizza, and dinners consisted of pasta, bbq chicken and tri-​tip (which was wonderful). There is always a vegetarian option. Yummy desserts and you definitely work up an appetite. It was really fun to see so many kids running in nature, having just the best time. We saw all sorts of people at camp, not just Caucasian as the last poster wrote about. Asian, Indian, Latino, what have you. I found everyone I met to be very friendly and people had no issues with other people using their pool toys, as long as their kids didn’t want to use it at that time. A lot of our friends took part in the Archery and said it was great fun (we spent that time in the pool) and we played bocce ball and some other games at the field. There’s a kick ball field and horseshoes.
If I could make a few suggestions to make camp even better it would be to 1. Meal time could be more organized to make the line go more smoothly. It wasn’t terrible, bit could be more efficient. 2. SELL LIFE VETS AT THE CAMP STORE. Seriously, they could make a fortune selling kids/​baby life vests for those of us who didn’t know we needed one/​forgot. It’s fine that it’s a rule that kids who can’t pass the swim test, but then make sure there are plenty of life vests to use or sell life vests at the camp store. It would also be nice to have some more common use areas for the various camp tent sites so the adults can hang out while kids are running around the tent areas. 3. We had a camp fire for the kids on Fri night and Sun night, but Sat night there was only a campfire for teens. I felt they could have had a camp fire for the kids an hour earlier and it would have been fine. 4. San Jose Family Camp needs to market themselves better. The camp is a great camp and I know the city has been that supportive of it, but they should be, or fine an organization that can take care of it, since the city doesn’t want to. But the people who work there are great and you can tell they take pride in their camp. We can’t wait to go back next year!

First of all, I am giving the Yosemite Fam Camp (city of SJ) one star not because of our experience with the staff or the place, don’t get me wrong but all staff and their activities are superb, BUT the CAMPERS. We were just there this week and just got back today.
I can’t stand staying another day at the camp seeing a couple of «moms» that seems to hate us so bad. We are Asians, most of the campers that are there are Caucasians. Let’s just say 99%.
It is our very first time in the camp. On our very first day we tried the pool my kids got yelled at by one the «moms» because we took one of the floaters that we didn’t know that it was theirs. We thought its from the Yosemite Fam Camp. Nobody told us anything. One of the mom says «PUT IT BACK!» to my kids. So I apologize, and we put it back.
2^nd day, we went to small lake in the camp, then again we use one of the floaters, nobody at the lake at the time, just us family hoping we can get some family time just us together.
Here she is again, I thought she was one of the staff. She told my kids harshly and very rudely that we are not suppose to use them because it’s not ours. The office suppose to tell us that. And we should put it back where it belongs.
I talked to this lady, and asked her if she’s one of the staff. She said «NO, we’ve been coming and camping here for 15 years!» So, then what is that tells me or for people that comes here first timer in the camp, especially if you are Asian? I think this is our first and last camping to that place.
We had a very bad experience on our first time camping. My kids got traumatized. And I got traumatized very badly.
Thank you Yosemite Family Camp. I don’t want to have another bad experience like that especially if they’re been camping there for many years and no respect with new or first timers, especially with kids. This place is not for us. I will look to some other place instead.
Enjoy campers. I though this place is for FAMILY camp. I’m wrong. Most of these campers are rude. I hope you don’t get same campers like ours.

Remember YMCA camp when you were a kid? Remember the squeaky cots and the wooden framed cabins with the canvas covers? Your dad teaching you how to whittle a stick and campfire songs? This is the same thing, but for your whole family. Whether it’s a good thing for you depends upon your expectations.
Are you used to camping on your own? Hauling in tons of gear, food and drinks? Cooking, cleaning, finding ways to entertain the kids and bandaging up their injuries all by yourself? Do you want a similar ‘roughing it’ feeling but easier? This place is for you.
This place is a 30 minute drive from Cherry Lake, Hetch Hetchy & Yosemite. It straddles a tributary of the Tuolomne River and is a short walk from an amazing natural waterfall and pool. It is the perfect launching point for many adventures or just lounging around while the kids take advantage of the various planned activities and/​or swimming/​fishing in the ‘river’ stocked with trout.
Accomodations include a roughly 10×20 tent cabin plus an approximately 10 foot long uncovered deck. The appropriate length of the cheapest carpet you can find from Home Depot will save you from nail heads and splinters. A small, rickety table, bench and shelf are also included. About half of the 65 units have power in them for an extra charge (2 overhead bulbs and several outlets). Each tent comes with enough foam-​mattress-​covered WWII-​era steel cots as your party needs (up to 5?). If you need a firm bed, bring a piece of plywood (or scrounge for one in an unoccupied tent). The cots are about 30 inches wide. A 4’x2’x5/8 piece of wood works. Some units allow parking directly in front of them, some require a short hike from a parking lot.
The bathrooms are as clean and modern as most California state parks. They include flush toilets, hot-​water showers and several washers/​dryers (small fee). There is a store that offers ice, snacks, ice cream, basic fishing gear, cold non-​alcoholic drinks and some basic personal necessities. The cafeteria serves 3 meals daily that are fair in quality. There are always PB&J fixings available if needed. The facility pipes treated & filtered well water for drinking. An RN is on staff to fix bumps and bruises and basic trauma facilities aren’t terribly far away. If a family member gets sick or something else goes wrong, several hotels and motels are nearby including one that is immediately next-​door.
Adult drinks are allowed but must be consumed discreetly. This is not a prudish place. There was plenty of drinking going on by parents (and probably staff), it was just done inconspicuously (no beer-​pong). If you’re going to drink, bring enough with you. Beer and cheap wine is a 5 mile drive. Cocktail fixings are a 15+ minute drive. The best bet: Before you pass through Manteca or Oakdale, fill up on gas and anything else you need. If you’re addicted to your Internet connection, you’re out of luck. There is basically zero cell access unless you drive/​hike to a ridgetop and even then it’s spotty.
Cherry lake is a 40-​minute drive into the wilderness. It’s a beautiful wilderness area framed by Hetch Hetchy and the peaks of Yosemite with zero facilities besides two pit toilets. Yosemite is a short drive. It’s $ 20 for your car-​full of people for a 1-​week pass full of jaw-​dropping scenery. Get there early, park in the visitor parking and take the free shuttle from point to point. The Ahwanee Hotel is an amazing place for a drink and a look at what early 20^th century opulence looked like.
Negatives? If you live in San Jose and have seen the City’s total incompetence at managing even the most basic services or infrastructure, what’s occurring to the Family Camp won’t surprise you. This place would be a profit-​making jewel in the crown of any other business-​oriented municipality or organization. There would be a waiting line a mile long to get in. San Jose, however, has let many parts of the camp fall into disrepair. Fortunately, it’s not stuff that will be front-​of mind — yet. I get the feeling that without the nonprofit helping this place, it would be uninhabitable.
Most of the people you’ll meet at camp have been returning for 5,10,20, even 30 years. There is a reason for that. While the City of San Jose is doing it’s best to either intentionally or otherwise ruin the place, it remains the type of place where life-​long family memories and traditions are made. I don’t know of any place else like it.

Mom’s camping paradise! No cooking, cleaning, or thinking of ways to keep the kids busy. This is it! Great time together with the family with minimal effort! Gone are the days of packing up my kitchen, bedrooms and toy closet to enjoy the outdoors. Just show up.
This place is about simple family pleasures: Campfire songs (Joe and the button factory!), tie-​die, stacking rocks in the river, fishing, playing horseshoes, crafts, eating in the cafeteria when the bell beckons us. And like I said, mom just shows up! Bathrooms are clean too. The staff that interacted with the kids are fun and kind. Kim and Peter particularly just walk around the camp with joy.
It was a low water year so no swimming in the pool but that didn’t stop everyone from having fun in the creek. I sat most mornings on the deck reading by the river and it felt so nice to see families spending quality time together.
If anyone complains, then they should go to Disneyland on their next family trip and enjoy the crowds and the wonderful intersection with their family while standing in line for the next ride. Camping is not your thing. I’m hooked. Thanks San Jose!

My children and I have gone to SJFC since my 26 year old daughter was 3. Summer just isn’t the same without a few days at camp. It is the best way to escape from the city with kids of all ages. As the kids got old we read and napped more and chased less. This year we are bring our nephews, 6 and 11, with us so we can do all the kids activities again! My kids had great fun doing all the activities over the years and running wild all over the camp with a complete sense of freedom.

My family (husband, me, kids age 3 & 6) went for our first visit this summer and will definitely return. Can’t really describe how very beautiful this place is — the pictures don’t do it justice. Loved that I had a vacation with no cooking, cleaning, or dishes. Kids really enjoyed the «fort» — supervised play for ages 3 – 6 that was provided 3 times a day for an hour or an hour and a half. You just relax and enjoy your kids.
I would describe our family as NOT an organized activity kind of group — normally, we travel very independently. But we enjoyed the friendship bracelets and campfire.
Cabins are primitive: tent cabins with beds and bookcase. Considering they are in a national forest, they are remarkably critter-​free, except for the night my husband left a chocolate bar on the table. (Wouldn’t recommend that).
Swimming hole (the «pool») was beautiful and chilly. The funny thing was it seemed to get warmer each day. :) River is terrific for tubing — my six year old had a blast. We did go to Yosemite valley for an afternoon (about an hour drive), but after the quiet of camp the valley seemed way too crowded. This definitely beats camp curry, which the night we visited must’ve had over a thousand guests.
Weather (late June/​early July) couldn’t be better. Day started at around 55 degrees — we wore sweats and a sweatshirt. From around 10AM to around 8PM we were in shorts and a tshirt, after 8 we put the sweatshirts back on. It was hot (over 90?) for maybe 20 minutes each afternoon. But the swimming hole can cure that in a jiffy.
On a final note: Staff were terrified. From the kitchen to the office to the recreation counselors. I think at a place like this, staff can make or break the experience. To a person, they were helpful, kind, relaxed and welcoming.

While I haven’t been recently, I did go to Fish Camp in April 09 and before that throughout my childhood, from when I was a wee toddler playing in the roped off swim area until I graduated high school. There are so many great memories here — taking the swim test and passing, even though the water was freezing and no one else was swimming. Exploring my own «secret» shortcuts to get to/​from the tent. The night stargazing hike. Finding a snake near the softball field and screaming while running away from it. Becoming a Junior Ranger with my friends and proudly wearing that bandana around my neck. Winning Bingo and having more candy than I could eat– and doing just that, all in one night (I think my mom took my Jr. Mints though!)
Family camp means so much to me, and I can’t wait to take my own kids to the camp. I hope the City can keep Family Camp open, somehow.

We have been attending camp since 2000, every summer (except 2010 when it was closed).
My children adore camp. The river is the big attraction, and we spend most of each day in the water, rafting and swimming. In addition, there is a talent show, movie night, bingo night, water carnival, boat race, campfires, crafts, hikes, stargazing, archery, trout fishing and many all-​camp games. There is daily childcare for the age 3 – 6 crowd, so parents can get a little extra R and R.
But as my neighbor says, «No grocery shopping, no cooking, no dishes – everything else is icing on the cake.»
My husband also enjoys camp very much. SJFC is so remote – even cut off from Internet and cell phones – that he gets into «liquid Jell-​o» (as he puts it) relaxation mode quickly and completely.
So many families we know go. If you go the same week every year, you will see the same families at camp. We have met wonderful people at camp, and since almost everyone is from the San Jose area, it’s easy to keep in touch at home, also.
The food is definitely variable, depending on the chef, but somehow our family all manage to gain a little weight every year, so it must not be too bad! Almost everything is cooked from scratch, not purchased frozen and reheated. Breakfast is probably their best meal (although nothing is like the outdoor Sunday buffet they used to have!). We used to have assigned seating at dinner, also, which forced you to meet new people. We met a family that became some of our best friends that way. We miss those days! If you catch trout in the river, the kitchen will prepare it for your dinner. It’s quite delicious. After the first year we learned we do not need to bring any additional food or snacks with us unless we want squirrels and jays in our tent.
The tents are very rudimentary but so much more comfortable and much less work than traditional tent camping. They are made of canvas with a rain fly over the top. Inside are iron bedsteads, thin mattresses, a shelf, a table, a trash bucket, a broom and two benches. To make our tent comfortable, we take with us mosquito nets, hammer, nails, clamps, bungee cords, a large beach umbrella, lantern, cardboard dressers, throw rugs, mirror, a clothesline and clothespins. Our beach towels we clamp up at night to provide extra privacy over any gaping tent flaps. From empty tents we also rustle up plywood to put under the mattresses. Shoes are necessary in the tent at all times unless you want splinters. We spend very little time in our tent because it gets so hot in the daytime. Napping needs to be done down on the patio in the loungers or by the river in a lounger you bring with you.
San Jose Family Camp is in the forest, so it is full of plants and animals. We go with the attitude that we are in their home, and we expect to see them. One year we arrived to find two mice and a gopher snake in our tent. That was a little startling! We know of someone who went home after she found wasps building a nest in her suitcase – but she came back the next year. Bats are also occasionally in the tents, and of course mosquitos are ubiquitous. Harmless water snakes and trout are in the river, and you will see many kinds of lizards and birds. We have not had a bear in camp any of the ten years we have gone, but we have heard that if the trash or food in tents gets out of control, bears have come through camp. Poison oak is well-​controlled in camp, but you should know what it looks like if you go on outlying trails.
Under Gil, the manager after Tom, the quality of camp was greatly improved (this is heresy, I know). The cleanliness of camp improved a tremendous amount. The staff also became much more mature and professional, and they were hired from all over the country not just from Groveland. Under Tom, families had beer and hard liquor bottles on their tables at dinner, the camp was loud with partying long after 10:00 p.m., the camp trash cans overflowed with liquor cans and bottles every morning, and the staff tents smelled of marijuana most of the time. That has changed under Gil. No more alcohol in the dining room, much less alcohol out in the camp, no staff tent marijuana and a blessedly quiet camp at night. The things we miss that Tom did were the Saturday night fish walk, Sunday brunch, the history talks, the gold panning, and all the old San Jose Family Camp campfire songs that the new staff does not know. These are the reasons for the 4 stars instead of 5.
Another reason for the 4 stars is SJFC is not cheap. It is costing our family of four over $ 1,200 for five nights this summer. Sadly, our out of town friends can no longer afford to come to camp. We have looked into other family camps and even attended one last year when SJFC was closed, but it was even more expensive and not as relaxing. So as long as my children and my husband want to keep going to camp, we will keep coming up with ways to pay for it.

My family had a wonderful time at family camp. The river is deep and flowing pretty fast. But there were places along the river where the kids could safely play in the water up to their knees. Although the staff advised against rafting, we did it anyways with no problems. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Our kids thought the activities were fun. The food was a not quite the same quality as years passed, but I thought it was edible. The veg. curry was great! I deducted 1 star for the coffee — I think that is the only bad thing.

Our family just returned from our third year of SJ Family Camp. It re-​opened this year with cleaner, better maintained facilities and a great staff. Sadly, the run-​off from the snow pack was so ferocious that it made the river unusable for anything other than fishing — -major bummer not being able to raft. This is no one’s fault, obviously, but we would have appreciated a heads-​up (maybe on a posting on the SJFC web site?) that river conditions were hazardous and families should bring something else to do. Also, food was mediocre-​poor: a direct reflection of the budget cuts. But overall, family camp is still great and our family and the 2 other families we went up with had a great time.

Last year was my fifth visit to San Jose Family Camp. As the previous years I went with my 3 kids, ages 11, 14 and 17, my brother and his son, age 12, and my mother. And as the previous years we had a fantastic time. Regardless of all the exciting vacations we have gone to, Israel, Mexico, Hawaii, etc., we always look forward to spending a few days at the family camp every summer.
It is a time to reconnect and do the things that we always feel we should be doing as a family. You know, talking, playing board games, going to the swimming hole, eating ice cream, hiking, floating down the river, fishing, playing bingo, etc.
Sadly, this year, 2010, the camp is closed for remodeling.

Went here are few years ago thinking that it would be great based on the waiting lists and lines of people who always showed up on opening reservation day in San Jose.
Here is what we experienced:
1) The weather was hot as blazes. Just sitting there in the shade sweating to death was real fun! Being in the river all day was the only way to stay cool.
2) The supplied map showed our tent cabin location, but after lugging all of our stuff into a tent cabin based on the map location, the staff informed us that the map was wrong and we would need to move all of our stuff to another tent cabin (in the blazing hot weather).
3) The tent cabin flaps would not close completely, so there was a large open gap in the tent offering no privacy while sleeping or to change clothes.
4) Large spiders in the tent cabin — my wife had a large spider descend on a web from the top of her head — twice! We go camping fairly often, that this has never happened anywhere else. We also heard stories of bats in another tent cabin and bears wandering through camp while we were there.
5) The final straw — my young daughter was walking bearfoot in the tent cabin, and a large (think 2-​inch long) wood splinter/​sliver from the cabin platform went right into her foot — all under the skin. At that we said «enough is enough» and high-​tailed it out of there before all of our paid days were up (and we’re cheapskates!).
The outdoor night-​time movie was fun, and the food and activities were just OK.
We prefer tent camping to this — Lassen Volcanic National Park in Northern California, a 5 hour drive from San Jose, is our favorite. Manzanita Lake campaground is the best — good weather, almost no bugs, on-​site camping /​convenience store, good hikes and attractions nearby, flush toilets, hot showers, laundry, ranger presentations, etc.

This place gets 5 stars based on my Teenage memory being a Camp counselor.
What could a kid between the ages of 14 — 17 ask for than a summer away from home without parents running around acting a fool and just having a great time meeting new people exploring a new place?
If you ask me… Nothing.
I am planning a reunion for the staffers of the summers I worked as a counselor, I have heard that camp has changed a lot, but I am on my way to check it out. After 20 years, I am sure some things have changed, but I do remember it was a great Family place.
A Place where parents & Kids could rent an «A» frame tent, have meals provided, recreational activities and just kinda have an all-​inclusive Camping, But not camping trip!
I will report a more accurate & realistic review when I return… Look for the updated review in July.

I revisited this place this past weekend… I am disappointed at many of the changes that the camp has made… namely, the counselors are all over the age of 18, and not one of them spoke to any of us… Okay 1 did… but only because we randomly walked into the Dinning hall taking pictures!
The place was solemn, not at all the same nostalgia as when I was a kid. I think that the new bathroom even had Air conditioning! WHAT?
Anyhow, I did not stay over or eat so I cannot attest to the services from a camper’s perspective.
