Established in 2008.

Formed in 2008 with an initial focus on software development for political campaigns, Tanuki Interactive has expanded offerings to include web marketing services in Hawaii’s thriving visitor industry, and consulting in cutting edge technology development for mobile and smart TV devices. With our integrated web visitor analysis, we can show clients how search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM) and social networking can work together across platforms to build successful brands, increase traffic and grow revenue.

Business Owner

David Fry has built web pages since 1995, starting his first web consultancy in 1997. In 2005, Fry joined StarrTech Interactive, Hawaii’s largest web development team, which later joined Anthology Marketing, the state’s largest integrated ad agency. Fry later worked in the State Legislature as an aide to House Majority Leader Kirk Caldwell, before returning to private practice. Among Tanuki Interactive’s early clients were the Democratic Party of Hawaii and Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann’s re-​election and subsequent campaign for Governor.

Fry now focuses primarily on strategic planning for websites in Hawaii’s visitor industry, and on channel development for the quickly-​growing Smart TV market including Roku, Chromecast, and Yahoo connected TV devices.
