Delicous waffle cone, amazing ice cream, and even better customer service. We ordered lilikoi cheesecake, cookies n mint, kona, and lychee. What won me over though was the service from the owner. I had asked for a single scoop but when it came time to ring up our order I said double scoop by mistake. The single scoop was so huge i thought it was a double. Anywho, he only rang up the single scoop but he saw the confused look on my face and gave me another scoop for free. That is great service. Always greets with a smile and always open and intent to please the customer.

Went in today because the first I time I went here it was great. The guy at the register was sarcastically hilarious. If you think he’s rude then you probably have trouble taking a joke. The ice cream is creamy and delicious and we got as many samples as we wanted before deciding on the cookie dough and mint cookie chip. The waffle bowl is delicious too. I highly recommend you go here!

I went to the surf shop across the street at about 8pm and asked one of the guys what was still open nearby. He recommended this place and hyped it up, so I had to try it out. We got the chocolate chip cookie ice cream. It’s homemade chocolate chip cookies — actually homemade baked cookies, not cookie dough — mixed in homemade vanilla ice cream… and honestly, it was debatably the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life. The surf shop said it was the best ice cream in the island and after living here for 2 years I would have to agree. Updated review: went here again in March. Late, maybe an hour before close. Plenty of ice cream available. Probably 30 flavors. They didn’t have the flavor I had a few times before so I was a bit overwhelmed with what to get instead since there were so many flavors. The guy working, man, anywhere from 30s-50s, local looking, was not very nice. I was offered samples every time before so I wanted to try some samples so I could decide what to get. There were 3 I couldn’t decide between. Tried one, didn’t like it, tried a second one, it was alright. Asked about the third one and the guy said no. «we only allow 2 samples». SERIOUSLY? I understand not wanting to waste product, and that you don’t want to be like the yogurt shops where people eat a million samples and leave, but I just wanted to figure out what I wanted to buy. And he adamantly would not let me try a third sample and was rude to me(and my date). To further show how stupid this was, the samples are so small you can barely even taste it. It was late, my date and I are mid 20s professional looking, kind, world traveling people. We aren’t 16 year Olds on bikes looking for free ice cream. I wanted to sample what I was considering getting before spending $ 15 on(what this time turned out to be) extremely mediocre ice cream. Probably won’t go back. I absolutely loved this place the first time but I was just so turned off by the asshole the second time that I will not be supporting this business. The unfriendliness and inconsideration was appalling. If he would have let me try one or two more samples which would have maybe cost them a penny or 3, I would have found what I wanted and continued to come back. But no. This guy was rude, stingy, and an asshole. We weren’t looking for free product, there was no one else in line, we weren’t wasting any time. We were just treated as if he didn’t care about his customers. And he shouldn’t work there since that’s the case. Pretty disappointed. Will no longer be recommending this place to all my customers at my busy restaurant in Waikiki like I have been doing for months. And definitely won’t be coming back myself.

Skip it! Walked in today looking forward to trying a independent taste of ice cream, walked out with a sour salty experience. The Guy working the register, was rude and needs a lesson in the aloha spirit.

At first sight this place is kind of cute, no long lines more of a novelty type ice cream shop. Service was ok, no ones in a rush to help you type — no greeting either. No offer to try anything… No one knows the price of anything other than what’s listed for ice cream? The ice cream wasn’t that great. The woman behind the counter got my order wrong — it was only a shake but she was like try it, I didn’t know we were out of such and such but I’ll give you the difference back. I ask myself why not tell the customer beforehand? Then I wouldn’t have ordered a shake. My niece who loves ice cream didn’t finish her scoop. Maybe we should’ve left from the get go since we pulled over to get shaved ice in the first place. Anyway if you have time and money to waste go here.

If you’re ever in the North Shore area you MUST try this place! The ice cream was fantastic! They have the basics but what really makes this place awesome is not only the quality(and quantity… I ordered two scoops and received more like 4 scoops) it’s the unique as delicious flavors that this ice cream maker comes up with! I ordered pineapple cheesecake(you’ll be had pressed to find that flavor on the main land) and I also chose the lavender. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the lavender ice cream was! Rich, smooth, delicious but not overpowering. I’ll be coming back here again, and next time I’m trying one of everything!!!

Best ice cream in town! Lilikoi cheesecake is a crowd pleaser, Jack Johnson’s Ginger is delicious but my favorite is chocolate sin! It has a ton of deep chocolate flavor and whole almonds. Yum! Stop I and check them out! Prices start at $ 3.75 a scoop which isn’t bad for Hawaii!

«Homemade Ice Cream,» say whaaaaat?! Stopped me in my tracks as I was walking towards Haleiwa Store Lots in search for something cold and sweet. I just spent some time at Shark’s Cove and Waimea Bay and thought I’d satisfy my craving with some shave ice, but found this shop instead! I scream for ice cream! As soon as I opened the door from the street side entrance, I was pleasantly surprised by: 1) the aroma of FRESHLY made waffle cones, 2) the shop is sunken so you have to take about five steps down onto the main floor, and 3) the interior was just darling! Oh, I wish I were a little kid again. There are adorable toys in here. Children will love this place! So much eye candy! Let’s start with the ice cream though. There were about 32 flavors on display with a selection of both the traditional and local flavors like Kona Coffee and Hawaiian Punch. I opted for one of my usual favorite flavors, Green Tea. Put that scoop in a waffle cone, pretty please! There are about five tables inside and some patio seats outside under the large shade umbrella. Decided to take my cone outside to enjoy the sights of Historic Haleiwa Town and people watch. Outside tip: lick fast! The ice cream was creamy, not so sweet, and overall just made me happy. No artificial flavoring. My taste buds were in heaven! I should’ve gotten a triple scoop! The waffle cone had a nice texture and was easy to chew. It wasn’t too fragile. You know, the kind that cracks into pieces on the first bite. It held up well. Back to the toys. They sell a lot of learning-based toys from brands like Sassafras, Melissa and Doug, and Fiesta. They also carry books and all of the authors are from Hawaii. At the counter, they sell cute turtle trinkets, I almost bought one for myself. The guy that helped me out was from Philadelphia and loves living out here. Nice guy. Feel free to ask for samples! What a great little find. Looking forward to coming back to try other flavors.

Normally when I’m in Haleiwa, I head to Matsumoto’s for their famous shave ice. Today though I stumbled upon this gem… Scoop of Paradise. It’s a homemade ice cream that is operated by a local from Philadelphia. Yeah he migrated here from the East Coast after he fell In love with the weather. At least that’s his story. Anyway, as soon as I walked in you are looking at the shop from about 6 feet up on the top of the stairs. While overlooking the store I noticed an employee making homemade waffle cones. It smelled good and noticed a lot of the customers were eating from a waffle cone. I asked a few of them how it tasted and they said it was the best they have ever had. Ok so should I try it? Nahhh I opted for a milkshake. My milkshake was a tough decision because now i had to pick a flavor. So many choices of homemade ice cream, at least that is what was advertised on their window. So of the 2 dozen or so ice cream choices, I chose Rocky Road. The milkshake was not the thick blend I was hoping for but nonetheless is was pretty darn good. It took about 7 minutes for me to empty my cup which was 24 ounces. So yes it was a win for me. They also sold banana splits, malts and mochis all at a pretty reasonable price. This is another dessert place I will have to frequent when I come out to Historic Haleiwa. There is ample parking in the back and a handful of boutiques next door. Most of the stores in Haleiwa are local businesses so go support out local ohana! A hui hou!

After-dinner homemade ice cream is something I’m pretty sure every girl needs. Maybe except the über healthy ones that don’t believe in eating carbs. But naturally we passed this place and looked inside. Immediately my wife began sampling the flavors, especially the chocolate-type ones. I think she got the chocolate sin, which looked like fudge. Well anyway, the guy George who works there is the man. He’s from Philly and an Eagles fan, so don’t go hard on him. As a Jets fan, we were able to share each other’s pain and frustration. All his flavors are really creamy and obviously homemade. I had the maple walnut, which was almost similar to pralines and cream, which is my favorite ice cream. There’s parking all along north shore in lots near Luibuenos and near that little mall. Inside the place isn’t huge, but it’s ice cream, you can eat that anywhere. They do have limited outdoor seating. Inside they also sell other stuff, like kids books. I’m not sure why. As for ice cream, hooray for this place because it’s mom and pop owned and it probably doesn’t have 20 pounds of high fructose corn syrup per ounce!

I’m a big fan of homemade ice cream and love supporting local businesses. I will say though that first impressions to me are important. I was a little disappointed when we walked in and was not greeted or acknowledged at least with a smile because the gentleman behind the ice cream counter was busy talking with another gentleman who appeared to not have any interest at all in eating ice cream. They talked for a good 7 min before the worker finally said hi. They have a lot flavors to choose from, and all of them being interesting ones. After some contemplation, we decided on two flavors — blue moon over waimea and lilikoi cheesecake. Blue moon over waimea is one of their popular flavors, but I had enjoyed the lilikoi cheesecake ice cream more. Both were delectable and creamy, but as I mentioned I really liked the lilikoi cheesecake. It also had pieces of real lilikoi fruit mixed in. If you’re not craving shave ice or you are but it’s too hot to stand in that long line at Matsumoto’s, then ice cream from here would be the smartest choice. It is a bit pricey, but worth the stop whenever you find yourself in beautiful Haleiwa town.

Whenever I am in Haleiwa, and am not craving shaved ice from the crowded Matsumoto’s, I come here! There are so many different flavors for all of your ice cream moods. I often am feeling for something fruity, but creamy… there’s Lilikoi Cheesecake, Strawberry Cheesecake, or even Blueberry Cheesecake. They also have so many varieties of chocolate ice creams, from Rocky Road to Chocolate Chip. Their Kona Coffee is always a great choice. I think my favorite is the Almond Crème. There are pieces of almond chunks in the ice cream, which is the cherry on top. I think for a majority of their ice creams, there are some kind of «chunks» in it. I remember when there was a Mint Chocolate Chip flavor with Oreo chunks! I think anything with Oreo chunks is great. You should definitely check out Scoop of Paradise if you are in Haleiwa Town! Sometimes the line does get long though, but definitely not as long as Matsumoto’s haha. AND it is worth the wait, especially after a hot day in the sun.

I decided the first time I stopped by. I must always get some ice cream at Scoop of Paradise whenever I’m in the North Shore. There are so many different flavored, I feel obliged to try them all! I’ve had s’mores, raspberry brownie white chip, blue moon, caramel cinnamon bun, and green tea. I really enjoyed them all, because the flavors are all distinct. I think I favor caramel cinnamon bun because I haven’t had anything like it. The first time I went, I’m quite sure the owner was working. And he was incredibly pleasant and his two other workers were as well! They were all working hard, scooping and serving ice cream, and making waffle cones. The second time around, it was an entirely new staff. Decently pleasant, but seemed a bit moody/put off. Maybe I’m just being sensitive, but that’s how I felt. It wasn’t anything alarming or off putting, at least. There’s a lot of parking in the lot behind SoP, and they have seating both inside and out. Which is nice. There’s also a bathroom nearby. It’s not incredibly cheap, but I find that it’s reasonable for what you’re getting. The scoops are a hearty size and the ice cream is produced locally. Can’t wait to come back to try more flavors! Think I want to hit up the cheesecake flavors next. If you’re not into shave ice, or just looking for something to cool you off, stop by Scoop of Paradise! Also, check their Instagram for new flavors and mouth watering pictures! So good.

This place is surely a paradise. They make every flavor homemade and my favorite is lilikoi cheesecake. I had a taste of maple walnut and it was tasty as well. I only had a kiddie cup because even one scoop was huge, but the waffle cone looked really good. I would love to try different flavors but this place lets you have only two samples… which I find weird. Two isn’t enough to decide which one I actually would want, to be honest. But anyways, I am looking forward to stopping by Scoop of Paradise next time I am in Haleiwa.

Of course we had to stop here for some homemade ice cream! Even after finishing my cone I wish I had more! I got the Tutu’s chocolate chip: vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip cookie mixed into it! The best damn thing you’ll have here. Pretty pricey, but that’s expected in hawaii. Love this place! They also sell children’s toys and clothes. Very cute.

This was our second time to this place as our cousin introduced us to it last year when we visited. The ice cream can’t be beat– coconut macadamia nut is to DIE for! I tried to order a tub to go but apparently that isn’t a thing. The atmosphere of this place is awesome; lots of fun kids toys around and a very homey feel. We met the owner last year and had so much fun chatting with her. We’ll definitely be back next year when we’re in town!

By far one of the best ice cream parlors on Oahu! Worth the drive to Haleiwa! I always get the blue moon. It’s a ultra creamy vanilla ice cream with marshmallows! How can you not like that?! Try it, it’s worth the drive!
