The Long Branch Saloon and Farms

For my daughter being married at Long Branch was a dream come true. Every guest was blown away by the venue and multiple guests said it was the most fun they’ve every had at a wedding. The staff was amazing and we could not be happier!

Just got married here on April 9^th and wanted to make sure I Unilocal this place before I forget. SUCH AN AWESOME SPOT! We discovered it after my (now) husband and I went there for a company picnic. Such a cool place and I immediately decided I no longer wanted a city hall wedding but a Long Branch Wedding. This place is too too great. We are pretty much «city people» but I was absolutely charmed by the great buildings, beautiful bar, unique activities. It has something for everyone! We had roulette and craps table, mini golf, sling shooting clay pigeons, dancing, a photo booth, food trucks. So easy and fun. Lisa helps so much with vendors and she is so on top of it. Kevin is great and his daughters were helpful and on top of it as well. They know the spot so well, and are so relaxed, even though I’m sure they deal with crazy brides freaking out before the event. Honestly, I could not believe how easy it felt the day of, and so many people came up to me and told me it was the most fun they’d had at a wedding. It’s also a great spot for a child friendly wedding as it’s safe and fun and keeps the kids entertained while the adults hang out. I highly recommend getting shuttles so that your guests can really let loose if they choose and don’t have to worry about designated drivers… It’s such a fun spot!
Also, wanted to say, that even though it rained for about an hour during the evening, people barely noticed– it’s such a beautiful spot with such great views, but not the type of place where you HAVE to have hot weather or sunshine to have a beautiful experience. (And there are several indoor spots to hang out as well as tents if you need them).
Anyway, it was really, really awesome, and I am SO HAPPY we had our wedding here. Best place to celebrate in the Bay Area for sure!

I got married at Long Branch on March 19^th, 2016.
I don’t know that words can describe how truly perfect the day was, but i’m going to give it a shot.
My husband and I fell in love with this place when we attended a company party here, and when we were wandering around the venue we stepped into the little church at the end of town; we both knew this was where we wanted to get married, and 2 years later here we are!
Special shutout to Lisa — right from the beginning about a year ago Lisa was always responsive and friendly with email correspondence. I visited the site at least 5 times throughout the planning process and Lisa always made sure that Kevin or one of the other LB Staff was on hand to open things up and answer any questions that I had. I’m a very detail oriented person, so I’m absolutely sure that I was probably driving her nuts with all of my countless questions and emails, but she was always wonderful to work with. On the day of the wedding she was our bartender and did a fabulous job, even coming around to the dinner tables to re-​fill champagne glasses for the toasts! She was amazing and I cannot thank her enough for helping to make my dreams come true on my wedding day. Also, Kevin — you are a freaking genius for coming up with this fantastic little event space.
All of my vendors did an amazing job, and Long Branch and the staff are certainly no exception. The staff was friendly and helpful to my small army of set-​up helpers (I had to do exactly ZERO set up myself) and throughout the day they were on hand to make sure parking went smoothly, restrooms and garbage cans were attended to, and the casino staff was awesome — poker and roulette were a hit! The slingshots had fresh elastic and the bins were full of rocks to shoot, the fire pits were burning, they had the heat lamps going, the chairs were beautiful and clean, tables laid out exactly how I wanted them, the wagon wheel sweetheart table and Victorian settee, s’more bar, cornhole game, EVERYTHING was just perfect.
If you’re looking for a FUN and truly memorable wedding or party space for your guests, this is the spot! I’ve had so many of our guests tell us that this was the best wedding they’d ever been to, and I totally agree! The venue is so interesting and there is so much to do and look at that it really requires very little decoration to make it look really amazing and your guests will never be bored.
Logistics wise, Lisa can recommend vendors who are familiar with the space. Pricing was really reasonable considering that you don’t have to rent tables and chairs and your décor budget will be tiny (no need for expensive lighting here)! Vendors can drive right into the «town» to unload which is very convenient for set-​up, and guest parking is right in front of the space — no long walks for grandma and grandpa! The space above the saloon is a perfect space for getting your makeup and hair finalized and getting your dress on — my photographer got some AMAZING getting ready shots.
Long Branch, I love you. I’ll be back every chance I get.

I can’t say enough about this place. My sister just had her wedding here and it was amazing. The family that runs the place are very nice and accommodating. It’s a very unique and special place. We all had so much fun. It’s definitely an experience that none of us will ever forget.

for their wedding and Long Branch has to be one of the most fun and unique wedding venues in the bay area. From my perspective, it looked like everyone had such a great time.
The staff there was so helpful. They had parking attendants, bartenders, janitorial staff to make sure everything was running smoothly.

We got married here on 5÷16÷15 and it was AMAZING! We could not be happier on how our wedding turned out. The grounds are just incredible, and so many of our guests were blown away on how unique is it. Many people told us it was the funnest wedding they have ever been to! From the cute church, to the mini-​golf, to the casino, everything was just amazing.
A huge thank you to the Kevin Palmer, Lisa in the office and the rest of the staff. Lisa was so helpful during our year of planning, anything we needed she was always on top of it! It was truly stress-​free planning with them. Everyone on the day of were just so helpful as well! Honestly, just trust them to take care of everything! I didn’t have to worry about a thing, everyone was just great! I felt that the price was totally reasonable as well for everything included.

Most beautiful, unique setting you could ever ask for in a party venue. We had a fantastic 50^th birthday hoe-​down here this past weekend, July 27, and we were thrilled every single minute. The owner, Kevin, his wife Lisa, are the nicest, most helpful and kind people we’ve ever met. Their entire family made sure everything went off far, far beyond our expectations! I would very highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants a charming, open, friendly, beautiful, spacious, gorgeous-​California setting. There was so much to see and do, from games, to history, great music, and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. The saloon, the dance hall, the gambling casino, the covered wagon… I could go on and on and on. My favorite were the fire pits where we roasted marshmallows under the stars. All our guests were enchanted, and it was really difficult to leave when the evening ended. We will absolutely be back. 5 stars, and then some!

There aren’t enough words to describe how fantastic LBS is. I just got married here on 04÷26÷14 & it was an unbelievably perfect day. All of my guests were RAVING that they had never been to a wedding as fun and unique as ours. (I agree!) ;)
My fiancé & I searched long and hard for the perfect venue & we found it at Long Branch. It is reasonably priced for what you are getting — a place where magic happens.
The day of they set EVERYTHING up for me. TRUST them to take care of the details. They filled the sling shot trays with rocks. They had the bar set up nicely with our alcohol & I literally had to worry about NOTHING.
I came the morning of my wedding & set up some crafts (a s’more table, garland on the church etc) & they took care of the rest.
My fiancé was hesitant when I 1^st told him about Long Branch due to the price (which btw — is average as far as venue costs go), but it truly, truly, truly was worth every penny & here is how we saved money:
*They allow you to bring in your own alcohol. They also set all of our water & soda/​juice up for us.
*We used their table covers & only had to rent napkins & glasses.
*We also used Cameron’s Catering & BBQ for out food. They are family & Cameron owns a local pub & does catering on the side. His prices were incredible !!! HALF what you would pay elsewhere. If you’re thinking of getting married at LB — a) DO IT! and b) just go with Cameron for your food & BBQ. He knows the set up (and caters most LB weddings) so you don’t have to worry about bringing in an outside vendor to learn the set up. Cameron will just show up & get er done! The food is tasty and I quote a guest «the mac & cheese is slap your mom in the face amazing».
My wedding day was flawless & magical. Go with LB & yours will be too.

Absolutely love this place. It is so well done and looks so real! As if you went back in time to the wild wild west. Great for any sorts of events.
We just finished having our 2 friends’ birthdays there. It was so much fun and everyone loved the place. Kevin the owner is the best. He made sure we all had a blast. He was very flexible on a lot of things which is also great.

I love this RANCH! I’ve been going to this ranch for years now! Over the years things has changed so much. I’ve watched the transformation as the saloon was built, the chapel, putt putt golf, arena and much more.
This venue is owned by a dear couple and their family which have poured their lives into their business.
The location is great for corporate events, weddings, holiday parties, fall festive events, BBQ’s and of course birthday parties.
******* I was at a wedding here a few months ago and the couple rode their own horses to the chapel.

I recently had my wedding at the Long Branch Saloon and Farm in Half Moon Bay, and it could not have been more perfect. In the beautiful Half Moon Bay hills, there is nestled the recreation of an old west main street filled with beautiful and authentic wild west antiques that just make this venue magical and beyond belief.
Having the ceremony and reception at the same place is a huge cost savings, and makes it easier for you and the guests. There was so much to do on the grounds, from sling shots, lasso lessons, and mini golf, to hanging out in the beautiful antique bar and dancing in the parlor there was never a lull in the action. Kevin was wonderful to work with and always had all the answers. Lisa was great at working with us and finding times for us to make multiple visits to the site over the year to scout things out with our different vendors and our parents. They were always happy to help and answer any questions.
They have most things you’ll need to make your part complete. I would advise you bring your planner/​caterer to the venue to see what they can and cant do as far as food storage and cooking. We planned ahead and came with our cater who was able to do whatever he needed before hand, and use the facilities for anything else he needed, and it seemed to work pretty perfectly.
We were told by many guests that they couldn’t believe we found such an amazing location, and it was the most fun they’ve ever had at a wedding, which besides getting married, was one of our ultimate goals. I high recommend Long Branch farms for your rustic/​country/​wild west dream wedding.

I would like to give a huge thank you to Kevin, his family and staff. We held my daughter’s wedding there yesterday with almost 200 people and it was just an amazing fun day.
When my daughter told me that this is where she wanted to be married, my wife and I were very skeptical. It’ s mostly outdoors, rustic/​western and pretty funky. Kevin and his staff went above and beyond. The evening was a rare warm perfect night, so the guests were quickly going through two kegs of beer, along with quite a bit of wine. Kevin’s staff took off to Moss Beach to quickly pick up another keg. Not only that, but they threw in some of their own water and soft drinks when they saw we were running low!
I can’t believe how many guests kept telling us it was the most fun that they have ever had at a a wedding, and how in the world did we find it.
Mind you, it will be non-​traditional, but that is what my daughter wanted and I know that our family will remember that day forever.

I had my wedding here on April 13, 2013 (just a few days ago!) and it was FANTASTIC! The staff was very nice and accommodating (they lent me things to hang stuff up). They helped set up décor and take it down. They even got down and partied at the end with us!
We had a Victorian Steampunk Theme, so the venue fit perfectly. I remember when my parents and I walked in for the first time, we automatically thought «YES!» lol.
Every one of my guests had told me that this was the most FUN wedding they have ever been to. Great for all ages!
Definitely an amazing venue (if you’re looking for a rugged, rustic, outdoor venue for any event.) If I could, I would do it all over again!!!

We attended a wedding here and it is a really neat place. The have various activities such as a small archery booth, sling shot range, and miniature golf. The décor is great and everyone had a blast.
They use a local business for catering which has some of the best barbecue sauce that I’ve ever tasted. They don’t typically sell the sauce. After a little negotiating I was able to convince them to part with some, and an empty Jack Daniels bottle became the container.

Oh, Where to start! My husband and I just «got hitched» here a few weeks ago. It was the most memorable day! This venue is unlike any other you will find in our area. From the saloon to the mini golf, to the horses in the pasture, it has everything that I wanted for a backdrop to my laid back county style wedding. Let me just add that I am in no way a «high maintenance bride,» so the casual atmosphere that Kevin and his family have created was more than perfect. The whole longbranch team was super helpful throughout the whole planning process, and on the day of my wedding, they were so awesome! I love how it is a family run place. The kids were involved in helping set up and even ran the roulette table! They were all very professional and super nice. I am still hearing things from our guests about how amazing our wedding was, and how they had never seen such a unique, fun place! My husband and I want to get married again, just to enjoy being at Longbranch one more time! We might be planning a huge family reunion in a couple years here, because we had that much fun! Thank you Longbranch!!! :)

The Good:
–Taking a moment to look at everyone I love completely out of their ordinary element and seeing them enjoy themselves from the farmhouse balcony
–Kicking back a Stagecoach with much husband and his cousin from Colorado
–Throwing my bouquet off a big farm house balcony
–Seeing our family and friends pan for gold, pet goats, test their strength and mosey around town
–Seeing the place light up light Disney’s Frontierland at night
–Indoor & Outdoor option the whole time, too hot? Go outside. Too cold? Have a drink in a REAL WESTERN SALOON!
–Taking funny pictures in front of the newly built chapel
The Bad:
While this is still one of the most unique wedding venues I have ever seen in my entire life, if I had to do it all over again, I would have rather rented furniture from a rental company than using what is provided by Longbranch.
I was extremely disappointed that when I first came for a tour, I was told a specific number of matching chairs and tables, along with the option to use an assortment of square and round tables for my guests, only to be stuck with rounds and mismatched chairs the day of the reception.
Also they mentioned they had 6 functional heat lamps, to which I only saw 1 giant one in the middle of the dance floor being used into the night of the wedding. While I lucked out with the weather 73+ degrees in Half Moon Bay during September 2010, I still would have liked to see all 6 heat lamps up during the evening.
The Ugly:
If I ever find out who put a fake white garland with lace tulle on the balcony, there will be blood. It was not part of the color scheme and I HATED it.
REGARDLESS, I would still hands down recommend this venue over and over again for anyone who really craves something completely unique and different as far as wedding venue locations. There is really something about the Old West that’s wild, vintage, classic, timeless and friggin’ fun! Saddle up!

My husband Chris and I got married at Long Branch May 15, 2010. I can’t say enough about how special the day was. All we have heard from all of our friends and family is about how much fun they had. If you want the specifics, read on. If not, know it is a great venue and the staff do a GREAT job of making the event go smoothly.
Location: Very close to all the hotels and restaurants in Half Moon Bay. Set back on the East Side of Highway 1 which helps to provide protection from the sea breeze on cool foggy nights. The tents the staff set up for us really worked well as a wind breaker and shelter for non-​Norcal folks.
Price: GREAT deal for the space. We also went with the catering from Cameron’s and got great feedback from our guests about the food. Cameron’s staff even brought my husband and I plates when we couldn’t make it to the serving line because we were too busy chatting with guests. They were super friendly and there was plenty of food to go around.
Music: We had a live band followed by West Coast DJ Mark Weisbarth (he was awesome). The ballroom area was definitely adequate space for dancing and for the band and the DJ to be set up. Lighting was great.
Planning: The staff is very flexible and very on top of details the day of the event and in the weeks leading up to the event. They can be slow to respond if you are asking about specific details a year and a half in advance, like I did. Take a chill pill, they’ve got it covered.
Details: From the chapel with pews, stained glass and a pulpit, to the fire pit, roping fake cattle, panning for gold, casino tables and bows and arrows… Our guests did it all and loved it all. Just careful with those bow and arrows after the bar has been open a while!

Had an awesome day out at the Long Branch Saloon attending the «Cars 4 Cancer» Charity car show. The facilities were beautiful. Gabe and all the staff rocks. How much better does it get, hot cars, hot BBQ, and Half Moon Bay. And one more thing they are pet friendly, another plus!

Attended the Cars4Cancer charity car show today, and even though I’ve been meaning to go to the Long Branch Saloon for years, I finally had an excuse.
Cameron’s brother, Kevin, has done a good job of making a reasonable facsimile of a old-​time western town. And he’s done a good job of positioning… weddings, poker nights, and corporate off-​sites. VERY smart. And, today, Cars4Cancer. Again, VERY smart.
I’d say about 60 – 70 cars were there today… ranging from the mid’40’s to a 2010 Charger (about 3x the size of the original, mind you).
It was interesting to wander about the site to check out the various «stuff» (go and you’ll see what I mean). It was VERY cool to check out the cars. Hopefully this was a enough of a turnout that Kevin will continue this next year.

Go and enjoy the old west. Just make SURE you bring layers… as you don’t know if the weather is going to be 50 and foggy or 70 and sunny. And I assure you, that’s not just a 20 degree diff.

Pumpkin Patch Review:
I wonder just how many pumpkin patches are located in Half Moon Bay? This particular «patch» has two more patches within walking distance, but the other two however, can’t boast having a lock of Abraham Lincoln’s hair and the nappiest llama ever!
I figure that this place is open for events and the pumpkin patch is just a means of making some extra cash and some «hands on» advertising. I sure had no idea that there was a recreation of a western town on Verde Road in Half Moon Bay! It’s like Boom Town lite…
The fact that there isn’t a lot of people around this ranch, makes their «ghost town,» 20 times scarier than any lame corn maze. I could see how one might want to have a corporate western themed BBQ there, but when you come in expecting pumpkins and find yourself the only visitors and ignored by those working (?) there… you get a chill up your spine saying; «This isn’t a place you want to be after dark, because that’s how really bad horror films start!»
