Delfino’s

Great day for lunch at Delfino’s. Calamari, eggplant parm sandwhich and chicken parm was great. Nice glass of Cabernet to take the chill out watching college football.

Seafood pasta was over cooked and too salty. Cold appetizer was collection of a few different kinds of ham and white cheese. …
I would say this place is simply overpriced.

The calamari was so tasty I came back here with the family. We ordered the salmon special and we were all in love. The pastas here are also outstanding. They allow you to order ½ portions too. That way we can mix and match. Our server was extremely friendly and fast paced our salads were brought out within seconds of ordering.

Me and my husband eat here once or twice a month, sometimes more. Thursday nights seem to be our routine mostly. We have had parties here as well and the service and the food is good. The current Matradee is charming and knowledgeable. They have great entertainment, bands, comedy nights, mystery dinners and karaōke. You can always check the facebook page for events.

Something has gone wrong here.

Experience this past weekend was 180 degrees opposite.
It started with reservations. We reserved a table for 3 at 7pm. We arrived inside at 6:53pm. We had to wait more than 15 minutes for staff to make a table ready for us, despite the fact we could see that tables were open. We were not the only ones. There were others waiting for tables that should have been made ready to be available.
Appetizer:
We ordered «Crackling Calamari» at $ 13, because we so greatly enjoyed this last time. It was a very, very long wait until the calamari arrived. To our SHOCK, it was no more than 12 pieces of calamari. That’s $ 1 per bite. Think about that. Not only, it was not in any way «crackling.» Mushy, chewy, not enjoyed by anyone in the party.
Entrees:
Refer, again, to my 8÷4÷2014 review. This experience was so far opposite to be beyond belief.
I ordered the «Marco Polo,» which I raved about last. My wife ordered Chicken Parm, her favorite. Daughter ordered Bolognese, recommended by her mother due to last visit.
First: The entrees were served almost «cold.» Room temperature, at best. We asked that they be «reheated.» Who knows what happens after that.
Second: Upon being served, again. The Marco Polo which I found «glorious» in every way on our last visit was just about inedible. Tasteless on all accounts. Chewy, tasteless shrimp bits with tail fragments mixed in. I forced myself to eat half, because I had saved an appetite for what I expected to be an enjoyable evening with family. My wife’s chicken parmesan was soft, mushy and tasteless. Daughter’s bolognese (which wife raved about on past visit) was average at best.
Our waiter, Luis (whom we recognized), apologized profusely.
Despite our original zeal for this restaurant,
We will NOT be back again.

Very Puzzling … we’ve been there three times, and I don’t get it. The food is delish, some of the best Italian in Westchester, prices are very reasonable and service is excellent… and yet somehow it is never crowded.
The chicken parm is terrific, and we have had several different pasta dishes, all have been excellent. Also, recommend the broccoli rabe, sausage and white beans… outstanding !
We will definitely be back…

Went to Delfino’s on a Groupon, will definitely go back. The food was really outstanding, service excellent — personable and helpful. Nice to know they have entertainment on Fridays. I had a pasta dish, my husband had a chicken dish, both were wonderful.

Incredible Italian food! I love this place! It was love at first sight for me, the wine, the pasta, and they have live entertainment on Fridays. Just a great night out! I look forward to going here again, highly recommended!
