Fantastic place! A small cozy historical home with a hidden gem inside! Very quiet and easy to have conversations. Friendly staff and great food! The menu is so incredible I have to go back to try more dishes. Go here and try it, you will love it! We were very happy here!

La Piccola Casa is an excellent restaurant. We have eaten there often, and never been disappointed. The Chef knows how to make wonderful sauces, to complement meat or fish. The front of the house is excellent as well. George, the maitre de, is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and runs a tight ship Coupled with the historic history of the building(J Fenimore Cooper’s home) and the fact that you can actually conduct a conversation without overhearing others or having to worry about your conversation being overheard, this is a wonderful restaurant to have a special dinner.

We ate there last Friday nite. The service was top shelf. However, waiter only told us some of the specials, we heard him mention others at different tables. We both ordered salads. The waiter offered cheese for one and anchovies for the Caesar. Both of us thought — wow great idea. What we failed to remember, and waiter didn’t tell us, each of these options added $ 4 a piece to our salads. The food was also not up to par(we’ve eaten there many times in past). This visit was very disappointing.

This restaurant is fantastic. The service & the food were excellent. I was there over the weekend for an early Mothers Day dinner. From the outside, this place doesn’t look like much, but there are so many delicious entrée inside, I can’t wait to go back. Our waiter was so much fun, we laughed & joked with him the whole time. We left feeling the right kind of full. If you find yourself in Mamaroneck definitely go here.

The best Lobster Fra Diavolo I’ve ever eaten! Also tried the Sole Murnier, which was equally delicious. However, perhaps the best aspect of our meal was the outstanding service and attitude of our server, Michele(sp?), who really made us feel right at home. As he joked, the food just tastes better when he’s in the room! This is my kind of Italian restaurant. Highly recommend.

Great staff delicious food. Veal dishes use the best cut. Fish is fresh and well prepared. Salads are crisp and flavorful. We’ve eaten here many times, and the experience is always great.

We love the food and the personal service is the nicest I have had anywhere.(when I had to rush home to attend to my son who was I’ll the waiter insisted he would drive my husband and our guest home) The interior is very authentic northern italian and so is the food. Our favorites: the straciatella soup with spinach and egg, the veal and the home made sorbets served in the cored fruit. Prices are very reasonable

Yes the restaurant does have a liquor license. If you get a seat in the front(easy at lunch,) you can overlook the lovely harbor. GREAT service wonderful food.

Went here for dinner with my fiancé last Friday, it was very disappointing! Both our dishes were extremely overpriced and bland, the service was mediocre at best and the atmosphere was nothing exciting… wont be back!

What a wonderful little gem on the Post Road across from Mamaroneck harbor. We were guests on Friday night and are headed back with the entire family this Sunday. Terrific food at resonable prices with attentive service… and a menu that will appeal to everyone. Move over Lusardi’s, there is a new girl in town!

The restaurant just reopened in its new location in May and I think it is going through some growing pains, but it is still an excellent restaurant. They don’t have a liquor licence yet so its BYOB or they pour a house wine for free. We really enjoy the fact that it is BYOB right now, it helps us keep the bill down at least a little, and we can try some nice wines of our own. The prices are a little high but the food is worth it, the chef owner is an excellent cook and you can tell he uses fresh ingredients. The service is pretty good, the new waiters seem enthusiastic. We do miss one of the waiters from the old place, he used to make the meal that much more special, but the new staff will get there. The new«Casa» is great and the view of the harbor is very nice. We had gone there when it was«Down by the Bay», and the owner did a great job renovating the old historic house. I think this restaurant will only get better.
