Econo Lube N Tune Service Centers

This is the worst shop EVER! Make no mistake getting your car done here. The owner is a crook! He will try everything to make a buck! I brought my own parts and was supposed to just pay for labor. He made every effort to tell me that my parts were wrong. I was away and just couldn’t get back fast enough, so he said he will get the «correct» parts himself which was just steps away from his shop but I had to pay additional $ 10.00!!! Looking at the receipt he gave me and my receipt, both items were the same bar codes. Be wary!

Today I experience another problem with Harry, I normally bring many vehicles multiple times a year to him but the past couple times I have noticed an overcharge such as top off fluids, I never asked for these services nor do I ever need my fluids topped off… this has happened every time for me, its more than just the 5 – 10 $ charge its the principle that it keeps happening and that I never asked for it but not according to harry, I do give credit in that my oil change was done quickly but that’s all that is done right. So hear me I have 4 cars that I have to change the oil on about 3 times a year, that is 12 oil changes a year he just lost, I’d rather spend more money and drive to a reputable business to feel taken care of

On 10÷19÷15 I brought my GMC yuckon to get smoged at econo Lube. When I was informed that it was going to cost 440 $ to get my yukon to pass smog. Due to the fact it needed a catalytic converter. Took it to my machanic. He charge me 250 $ for the cataytic converter service. Econo Lube is a rip off bewhare.

I have been going to Harry’s shop for about 10 years. I have nothing but the highest praise for him and his work and his workers. They have done an excellent job they’ve been upfront. I have had fair and honest transactions with him. I have already recommended him and his shop to all my friends.

The owner «Henry» is a complete fraud! The shop is dirty, overpriced and unorganized.
I’m a business owner in the same neighborhood who was trying to show some support to a fellow entrepreneur.
I brought my car to him at around 11:00 am to get a smog and a brake job. I watched his worker do the smog and parked my car after the smog check. I kept coming back to check on my car. IT NEVER MOVED it was nearly 4:00 pm!!!
So I made arrangements to have my car taken elsewhere. When I called «Henry» I wanted to take my car somewhere else, he was rude and hung up on me. When I picked up my car, he charged me for a diagnostic when he didn’t even run one! My car never MOVED!!! I told him I was going to the Better Business Bureau he said «I don’t care» and went all Buk Lau on me lol.
This guy is a fraud with a failing business. When I asked about the franchise he offered to sale his to me… kinda shady don’t you think? Why is his only good reviews on here is Asian? (no I’m not racist my wife is Asian and my kids are half Thai) Just another fraud technique he tried to use that my wife pointed out. Probably friend’s and family and not real customers.
Save your money and go to a REAL shop that have customers. BTW if I could give no stars, I would.

Car maintenance sucks, period. However, Econo Lube can make it less painful. Mr. Harry is upfront and honest about what has to be done for the car. Great man and great service, also great prices for any and all maintenance (whether it be Oil Change or 30,000 mile maintenance or brakes or whatever)!

Location:
Econo Lube is located on the corner of Carson Street and Norwalk Blvd. in Hawaiian Gardens. Now, as far location goes, it’s pretty ghetto. But, let’s face it. Just because a mechanic is located in Hawaiian Gardens doesn’t mean you won’t get exceptional service. Similarly, a mechanic in posh Beverly Hills isn’t going to guarantee that you won’t get ripped off. Bottom line: location doesn’t dictate the quality of the service and work.
Service:
Harry, the owner, has always been very upfront about what type of work (if any) needed for our cars. Recently, my husband’s car was overheating so we took it to Harry. Rather than charging us an arm and a leg for work, he was upfront and told us that he could not find exactly what was wrong. And, because he couldn’t find anything wrong, he didn’t charge us. He told us to take it back immediately if it overheated again. Other mechanics would have given us a long list of things that needed to get fixed. But Harry didn’t do this.
Price:
Harry is fair when it comes to pricing. He may not be the absolute cheapest but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. You wouldn’t pay $ 20 for a designer purse would you? You would if it were a knock-​off. Sorry, but I’m a girl so this analogy works for me!

I’ve been here twice for a smog check. Each visit had been fast & the prices are comparable to other places. I will return.

I used to take my daily driven cars here for basic oil changes and whatnot since my garage isn’t that big. Last weekend I brought my NSX in for a smog check since there was a coupon in the Penny Saver. Owner told me that because of the car, still a passenger car, that I would have to pay $ 10 more so it ended up costing the same as regular price. But I was already there, so I figure why go through the trouble of driving to another spot that actually honored their coupons. Big mistake on my part. When they were getting all the info down from my car, another customer told me to watch out because his car didn’t pass smog there and they tried to make him do the repairs. Oddly enough, my car didn’t pass on his machine even though everything on it is smog legal. It happens, I guess. Big coincidence that someone else just warned me about it, though. I was fine with it, but then I noticed a scratch on the bottom of my door. I remember seeing their overweight tech with my car on the machine and the door open against a metal box next to the rollers. He was sitting on the floor with his upper body inside my car looking for the OBD port and I saw the door hitting that box. I don’t know why he was looking on the driver side, when the OBD port is on the passenger side anyway. So when he backed it out, I told him he scratched the door. While he did admit that my car, door, and him were exactly how I just described, he denied scratching it by saying that he never put any pressure on the door against box. How could he possibly know that if it was his stomach and back squeezing were squeezing between my car and door? The owner came out and said the scratch looked old because the color was too dark. It’s fiberglass, it could be any color or shade. He said «even if we did scratch it, we can’t do anything about it.» I was so fed up, I told him just to admit that they did it because that is 100% what happened. He said fine and that was the end of it, but that’s seriously some horrible service. Won’t go there again.

DON’T COME HERE BEWARE CHEAP PARTS AND LIARS… hary told me he’ll give me a discount and $ 20 off if i gave him a good review. once i get back he’s acting like he never said that i end up paying extra .hary your a liar !!! first time writing a bad review.

Brought in my own oil n filter for a change. Owner charged me $ 25 for labor. They got to work on my car asap. 25min done. Other shops were charging me $ 20 more. Will come back even though it’s in the hood lol.

He called me and tried to offer me $ 20 to take down my review… Shouldn’t that be illegal?!

Found this place on Unilocal,came in without calling in or anything, and I was welcomed right away and had my car get its oil changed. Customer service is great, the owner is a really nice guy, and the oil change was quick ! This is going to be my come to shop for all of my car needs.

Very good customer service, and fast oil change. Will be coming back.

Korean owned — so cash only and don’t expect a receipt. Kidding.
Bilingual and good service. Se habla espanol tambien so actually trilingual. I would call ahead if you want a rough estimate for whatever ails your vehicle. They are pretty good about managing your expectations when it comes to cost and time.
Only cost me $ 15 to patch a tire and it took less than 15 minutes. They do everything from oil changes to bumper replacements.
