Lou’s Mufflers & Radiators

After store after store, I finally found a place who gave me the best price. I had a rumbling cheap muffler sounding noise with my grand prix. My flex pipe needed to be fixed. Told me it would be around a couple of hours but it ended being 4 hours which is the only thing I was upset about. Drove my car home and it was so smooth and quiet and was in better shape! coming to Lou’s was the best decision I’ve made with my car. It was absolutely worth it and the quality work was beyond my expectations. It was funny because as I waited, I went to Plato’s to shop and the cashier told me that Lou’s do really good work. And when I got my car, I was pretty glad I went.
The store is after Econo tire and lube right after a street. It’s a very tight space so you would have to back out/​reverse to exit.

I will recommend this mechanic to everyone that will listen. Not only was the repair done on time but it was $ 100 less then he quoted me. That’s a first. Lol
Leonard Jr. went out of his way to accommodate my budget and schedule.

They gave me an incredible price and helped me out a ton! I was quotes at about 1,000 $ at another shop and they did all I needed and more for about $ 390 or $ 413 with tax. Great job and really understanding.

Jr. hooked me up while I waited. I had no appt… Needed a new Exhaust system on my 2006 Subaru. Even thou they are a custom shop he made time for my ride. I’m very happy with their quality parts, service and price.
I’ll be back next week with for a little body work.

My 2002 GMC needed to be smogged. The check engine light was on. The DMV had already withheld my registration tags. There was a motorcycle cop near where I worked that had my number. He had given me 2 tickets already.
I took the car to a better-​known auto repair shop and got a quote for a catalytic converter. They said I also need a manifold-​gasket-​pump-​whatnot replaced. Their quote made me cry.
A co-​worker recommended Junior, at Lou’s Mufflers & Radiators.
My co-​worker even called Junior for me and got a preliminary quote on the phone. The next day Junior replaced the catalytic converter for the low price he had quoted. He said this might be all I needed and suggested I drive the car a little and come back next week.
I drove the car to work for a couple of days and the check-​engine light went out!
It never came back on! The car passed smog on Monday morning and AAA gave me my registration sticker! What a relief!
I will never go anywhere else again. Junior is going to be my mechanic for as long as he and I live! He fixed my car for less than half of the quote of the other place whose name rhymes with worms.
Junior was direct and honest and did not mess around. He did what he said he was going to do.
Lou’s Mufflers will get my business and my recommendations from now on. I can’t say enough good things about them, I am so happy.

Had my radiator replaced at a reasonable price. Good price and fast service = satisfied customer. Definitely will be back if my vehicle needs any repairs.

Nicest guys. Good size shop. I had an issue with some piping so I took it off my car and walked over there. They felt bad and got it done for me quick so I could get my car up and running.

This place was cool. They were straight up and honest and gave me a great price. They mentioned like a previous review that I might need the other cat replaced soon but I passed anyway. If they didnt try and upsell me I would have been disappointed. in the end if they dont mention it then the other one goes bad I write a review how bad he sucks for not letting me know. WTF cant win in this world. I had to upsell an aftermarket muffler for them! They gave me a bitchen price on it too! Jr. is the man he even refered me to another shop that took great care of me too. Long live your independent local buisness!!!

I was recommended to these guys and glad I was. My Pontiac Grand AM GT began sounding like a chopper with a cough on christmas day and I was sure I was going to spend $ 400 – 500. I got my car repaired on New Years Eve for only $ 250. Good job fellas. I’ll recommend you guys any time.

Our family has given Lou’s all of our business for years. Their prices are significantly lower across the board than any other places that have provided me with a quote. Case and point, the «ALARM SYSTEM» light went on in my Chevy Malibu and stopped running. I had it towed to a local gas station since it was the closest from where I was at. The guy told me that he had to replace the entire alarm system or else my car would never run again. The cost to do so was $ 750. I told him to stand by and called Lou’s. Lou’s said that he could simple reroute the electrical wires and my car would be fine. Since my car doesn’t even HAVE an alarm, nothing would be in jeopardy. Lou’s quoted me $ 80 out the door. I called the gas station and told them I would have my car towed elsewhere, then they wanted me to pay $ 100 just for diagnosing the problem. I refused to pay and never went there again.
If you go to Lou’s, ask for Leonard. He’ll take care of you.

I called a few radiator places around and they all gave me about the same price for a new radiator for my daughters car but I chose Lou’s because they sounded the most professional on the phone.
Jr. was knowledgeable and friendly and got the car done by the end of the day. He offered a 2 year warranty on the part and 1 year on the labor, which is awesome!
The 4 stars instead of 5 is only because I was waiting around for him to call and he didn’t call until 15 minutes before they closed to tell me to come pick it up.

My check engine light came on at about 84,000 miles and i found out what was wrong was i needed a new catalytic converter. The worst part of this was that the CC was under warrantee up til 80,000 miles :(
so i called a bunch of specialists in the area and Lou’s had a great price. He said it would be about $ 400, which was way better than Toyota’s $ 1200 price.
They determined that both of my CCs should be changed and the total cost went up to about $ 600. They were really accomodating the entire time and i really enjoyed my experience. The bummer was that i felt sliiightly uncomfortable with the decision to raise the price and say that i should have both of them changed «just in case.»
which means to me that they didn’t know which one needed to be changed or that both of them needed to be changed, but either way, i was with them. Better safe than sorry. With warrantee, still better than going to Toyota!
