The dental assisting class here is a joke! No hands on and all book work. I couldn’t even tell you why there are teachers in this class except to take your money for the adult students. Please don’t waste your time there are much better options

r.o.p is a really helpful place for a high school person who knows they want a job quickly or want to learn a certain skill, i take welding, they also have classes like criminal justice, nursing, pharmacy, auto tech etc. its reallly helpful and it helps you earn credits. but if your an adult and taking rop then youll have to pay for those courses

I am a huge fan of the ROP. I attended classes there while in High School and got an idea about what I wanted to do for a living way back then. This program has been around since my dad was in High School and they are still teaching kids skills and trades that can carry them through life and get them on a career path.
Although the career I was training for did not work out for me I know many a graduate of the Eden Area ROP who is working successfully in their career field.
I think its it so important to teach your kids a trade even if they are headed off to college I think its important to give them something to fall back on an trade /​skill they can utilize through out life.
They also have classes for adults. Some of the programs they have there are Auto body collision, Auto body painting, auto mechanics, welding, medical terminology, culinary classes, and dental programs. What a great school with many many programs. I think these type of programs are so important to kids and I love them !
