I bought my vanity top at Uni-​Tile a few years ago and had a good experience. Most recently, I assisted a family member in shopping at Uni-​Tile. Dan knows a lot about the materials and is very patient.

Dan at Uni-​Tile (Hayward) is amazing! He is knowledgable, friendly and a delight to work with. Dan made the process of shopping for marble a pleasure.

Very happy with them. I have been going here for years and use there cabinets all the time. The prices are great, along with a large selection of granite. I think they are there to help in anyway. If I have ever had a issue good or bad they make it right. I will continue to shop here and send all my clients.

They loaded a granted counter top cracked in my van. I refused to sign and except the item and they said they don’t insure the granted. This was all the same time frame I never left the place. Thieves here! Buyers be aware!

WORST company ever! If I could give this awful place Zero stars I would. I will NEVER come here again. They’re extremely rude and on top of that always screw up my order, they have no idea what they’re doing. Don’t waste your time or your money! There’s another tile company right up the street that actually values they’re costumers and knows what they’re doing.

Yes, cheap prices but nobody will help you or want to help you. I was referred by my installer that they have good prices and that’s where it stops. Asked them about a color and they just pointed to middle of warehouse. Asked for help from a guy and he said he has only been there for 3 weeks and people here don’t care about customer service at all. Don’t have any expectation when you get there.

I brought my friend & her family here to check out items for their kitchen and bathroom remodeling project. Since this location to closer to their house, I thought it would be a better choice than bringing all the items from San Jose.
They already had an idea of what they’d want in terms of the cabinet & countertop color, just planning out exactly what each cabinet would be (ie. spice rack, sliding trashcan holder, roll out drawers, etc). The designer was very good at using the measurements to find what works with the space. After we were satisfied with everything in terms of the cabinets themselves, she told us to go find a countertop that would fit the island & cabinets. We took a look and found the stone we liked for the island and easily found the matching slab for the countertop.
Here’s the problem we were facing after receiving a quote the same day once we chose out the countertops, the designer did not check the inventory and there was a lot of cabinets that were not available & they could not get a reach of the San Jose location to see if they had them for us to pickup. The sales associate that we were working with then wanted to make a lot of substitutions which would change the layout of the kitchen.
In the end we were dissatisfied that Uni-​Tile wasted hours of our time to get nothing because of their miscommunications w/​each other and not checking the stock when finalizing the quote & before sending us off to look at countertops.
I’ll definitely stick to the San Jose location for now on, worth it more to drive a little more and get someone who can communicate clearly what they need from us as a consumer to move forward with our remodeling needs.

If you are looking for inexpensive stone this is the place to go. A little out of the way if you are not in the east bay but worth it for the pricing. A good place for contractors but don’t expect the red carpet treatment. If you want that you need to go to a design house and let them take care of everything. Uni-​tile operates during normal business hours so a day off can be in order if you work a 9 – 5. Parking is good too.

My mother came here to buy tile, cabinet, shower door, sink and faucet for a bathroom remodel.
The first time they cut the stone counter it broke and we needed to choose a new piece of stone. No biggie, I understand with a natural stone this can happen.
I took this opportunity to make a design change and chose a quartz product. It turned out to be $ 88 cheaper and I was told mom would be refunded that amount.
We also decided to return the faucet, no fault of Uni-​Tile so the 10% restocking fee was to be expected.
Again they said a refund would be mailed. The total due to mom is just shy of $ 200. Not a crazy amount but still! It is a refund that is DUE!
Fast forward 6 weeks and numerous phone calls. No refund check.
If you call the main number they will say to call Sharon in accounting then they give you a number that just rings and rings. You call the main number back and they give you a different number that is usually busy or goes to voicemail and the call is NEVER returned.
Mom is starting a new kitchen. Guess where she is NOT shopping?
Update:
After a numerous calls and a trip to Uni-​Tile where I had to stand in the showroom and insist on a cash refund while my mother who is undergoing chemo waited in a chair, we got a refund. After promising a check would be ready for us, it took an additional 30 minutes for them to finally give us the cash since,“the check was waiting to be signed”. Right.
We were told a string of flat out lies. If I had not been absolutely firm, mom would still be waiting for a refund.

I spent almost $ 2,000 worth of material @ Uni-​Tile & Marble of Hayward to renovate my bathroom.
I purchased a glass door that came out faulty, it had a crack.
I went back to see the manager to see if I could get a replacement of the glass door.
I was initially told I could get a new one by the front desk people and then the manager said he wasn’t able to replace it because he didn’t sign the invoice, when one of his other employees had signed it.
Are you kidding me!!!
The return policy for the product was 30 days.
I took it back before it was past due.
Horrible experience and customer service after I spent $ 2,000 all together on material.
I had ALL the receipts from previous purchases, and was still denied the return.
It goes to show this establishment doesn’t value their return policy.
I will DEFINITELY not recommend this place to any Unilocalers out there,
STAY AWAY!

This massive warehouse has a ginormous selection of insanely cheap slabs for counters. It’s a little hectic but people were perfectly helpful when I managed to flag someone down.
Note that this is a high volume/​low price supplier; definitely don’t expect white glove service when you go.
EDITED: Due to a desperate search for Carrara marble in a time crunch, I literally have gone to every single prefab slab seller in the East Bay and beyond. I still like Unitile as a cheap purveyor (and the fact that you have free range through all of their slabs), but I’m reserving the 5 stars for NGY for better service and materials.

This is a wonderful place to buy tile and laminate flooring. We were looking for a backsplash tile for months. What we liked was over $ 50/​sf. We came here and found something very similar at $ 6.99/sf. We were so happy and excited. They have a ton of products. I saw really nice and inexpensive floor inserts too, which we are looking to buy soon. I’m glad to have this place near me.

If you know what you’re doing this a great resource for kitchen and bath remodels and updates. If you need extra help figuring things out, I don’t recommend going here without a contractor. No one really has time to help you other than to ring up your order. That being said, I brought in my own scaled drawings of a kitchen and was able to sit at the counter with one of the techs. She was phenomenal in translating it to their software in about 30 min she was done. The order was placed and the cabinets were built and delivered in about 10 days. My contractor put them in, the only problem we encountered was one of my own making. I measured something wrong and he had to fuss with the door frame into the room to fix my own mistake. Lastly, I also measured the wall height wrong and that caused me to have to return some cabinets, they charged a reasonable re-​shelfing fee and fabricated my replacement cabinets in about 5 days. Because I had to go with shorter uppers, I actually came out ahead on the overall cost.

Did not buy anything but after being mocked and insulted at kz at santa clara, we were floored by the enthusiasm of the helpers around there. We were there around the end of the day and three times three different people showed us the slabs with such enthusiasm. They did not have the design we wanted. Even after we told them that, one person asked us to wait so that he could finish his work and then came with another person and provided suggestions and moved numerous slabs just to give us alternative s. And all this after kz refused to show more than I guess 8 slabs and that too when we had paid. Uni tile guys knew we were undecided, had not made any payments but still showed us so many slabs. Very impressed.

Uni-​Tile is a great place to source your granite and quartz counter-​tops. They have standard as well as unique styles at very reasonable prices. Not all styles have samples, but you can purchase a small backsplash piece for $ 10 and return it after you have seen how it goes in your home. While paying for samples seems less than 5 star worthy, the lower prices make the «deposit» for samples seem very reasonable. You can do the same for flooring samples, although at a higher cost ($ 30).
They also have flooring available including tile, laminate and hardwood floors. Again, their prices are highly competitive.
If you are looking for a fancy type place, this isn’t it. However, anyone considering remodeling their place should be ready to get their hands and clothes a bit dirty. It’s part of the fun to pick things out yourself.
Dan is a fantastic sales person to consider working with. The others seem nice too, so if he’s not available, don’t panic.

Some tips for optimal shopping:
* Leave a copy of your purchase receipt at the store and provide the person picking up the supplies with the invoice number. This will make pick-​up easy for them.
* Plan to visit multiple times. If this stuff is going in your home for a long time, decisions don’t happen instantly.
* Wear a jacket if shopping in the winter. The warehouse is open and gets cold.
* Ask how long special order items take to obtain. Sometimes it takes up to one week, so plan accordingly.

For our first kitchen remodeling, we did our homework and visited many granite countertop shops and found Uni-​tile who not only had competitive pricing but also let us pick out our own slabs.
For our second kitchen remodeling, our contractor recommended us to trek to Granite Expo in Oakland. We were disappointed with the selection (we were at the warehouse and not the showroom but the lady confirmed that the inventory would be the same) so on our way home we decided to swing by Uni-​tile to see if they are still as impressive as we remembered.
We were not disappointed. Spend a few hours in there and not only do we have our kitchen countertops picked out but also our bathrooms tiles.

you have to be your own advocate and you will get excellent granite for a half the price of everywhere else. You will not get the customer service (like home depot) but you will get a great product for a great price.
do your own research and don’t expect any hand-​holding and you will be delighted with the results. We have used these guys for all of our granite and marble needs and people have remarked on the idea the ‘we must have spent a fortune’

These people don’t know what they have in stock. Very badly organized. I wanted to buy a certain laminate floors. They said they have the amount I needed in stock. I ordered. Turns out they were short. Delayed the construction of my new house. Oh yea, the manager is also very rude. Try to avoid shopping there, VERY BADLY organized company. Typical Chinese owner who only cares about money not customer satisfaction.

Very big selection of porcelain tile, granite and quartz counter tops and slabs plus bathroom vanities and kitchen cabinets. the downside is that the people who work there have a very poor English and are lacking of costumer service. just remember that if you go there be ready to wait at least an hour in line.

This place is very hard to find. I feel like we were on a scavenger hunt.
Once you find it though, there’s a wide selection of things. It is Chinese owned. They were pretty attentive and asked if we needed help from time to time.
They sell: Counter tops, cabinets, and tile. Lots of clearance things. Pretty okay prices.
