Heaven. Pure heaven. At first when we walked in I was unsure because they seemed to be running around & the lady at the desk was very loud & I was there for quiet relaxation. I think she was just trying to be super welcoming. But once in the room it was pure heaven from there!!! The forever young facial to die for! And then the massage I got was the best I’ve ever had! Omg!!! New favorite spa in Healdsburg!!! Get both of these services and you will leave so incredibly happy!!!

Very sweet owner. The massage therapist, Nancy, was amazing! She found knots and spots I didn’t know I had! My only complaint is that you can hear everything that is going on outside your room. Conversations, rummaging around in the back room, water running, doors closing, etc. Even with the music playing. It was not super quiet like I have experienced elsewhere. I’d definitely go back for a massage though!

Jin was so nice. Right away I got a welcoming vibe from her. My boyfriend booked this massage for me for Valentine’s Day and it was by far my favorite present. The salon was super clean and had a nice calm vibe to it. I did not remember the gentleman’s name that did my massage but he was very nice and willing to answer all my questions and then let me relax during my massage. I left feeling wonderful and in a 100x better mood than I was before entering. Great salon, I will defiantly be booking again.

This gem hidden away in Healdsburg CA was wonderful to say the least. I don’t believe I have ever had a more relaxing hour that went by so fast. Granted this was my first professional massage in my 27 years of living it won’t be my last at this establishment. The rooms were clean, the staff was welcoming, and the massage was wonderful.

I knew from the e-​mail communications Jin and I had back and forth that this was going to be a good experience, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in the door, we were given the VIP treatment. Jim had a beautiful plate of sliced watermelon and another plate with the most beautiful strawberries, along with a bottle of chilled white wine just waiting for us. There were 3 of us and we opted to wait to enjoy the fruit and wine when we were done. I get massages pretty regularly and opted for the 90 minute Swedish massage and had Jin as my massage therapist. My sister and niece, who don’t do spa dates often opted for the 30 minute massage and 30 minute facial. I have to say that Jin did a fantastic job and zeroed in on specific areas of my body that needed attention. The other gals in my party said they really enjoyed their massage and facials, too. Afterward, we chatted with Jin for a bit while we enjoyed the beautiful fruit. We weren’t in the mood for the wine and Jin insisted that we take the unopened bottle with us, which was very generous. We enjoyed it another night. I would definitely recommend this spa to anybody looking for very reasonably priced spa services. Don’t let the prices fool you, as this is a first class place and Jin is a first class act!

Jin is a total sweetheart & gives you fresh fruit & local champagne upon arrival. I had a sports massage by Jeff & it was amazing. I highly recommend this spot & will be back!

A perfect spa day! We got the salt scrub, facial & champagne bath and were amazed by everything! they even got us fresh strawberries from the farmer’s market

Jin’s spa is the perfect respite to our fast-​paced, on– the-​go lifestyles. I arrived early for my massage appointment and Jin’s warm welcome made me feel right at home. She offered me water, tea or a glass of wine. Of course, being in wine country, I took Jin up on a lovely glass of Everett Ridge rose, while engaged in a great conversation with Jin and husband Tri who stopped in with lunch for his wife. Got lots of wine & dining suggestions and even some history.
Now, for massage… with Bri. She started and ended with moist heat — great for relaxing muscles. Bri’s pressure point massage techniques hurt so good, and Swedish technique was perfectly relaxing.
Prices are reasonable– I paid $ 100 for hour massage. This was my 2^nd visit, and will be a part of all my visits to the area.

I recently visited A Simple Touch Massage and received an excellent massage from Jin. She is a very intuitive massage therapist who seemed to be able to sense all my sore and tight areas without me even mentioning them. I will definitely return soon!

Jin and team did a great job in welcoming us to their spa and provided a great level of service. I would highly recommend stopping by on your next trip to Healdsburg.

Best massage I’ve ever had!

AMAZING!!! What a great experience and Jin is absolutely incredible. She addressed all my aches, pains and tightness. After 90 minutes I felt like a new person. I’m definitely coming back my next visit to Healdsburg.

Simple touch was recommended to me by my hotel in Healdsburg. Jin was fantastic. She was able to fit me in for a massage at night as my mom and I were driving into town. She was very nice and accommodative. She even drove me back to my hotel after we were done. The music was calming and very relaxing. I recommend this Spa highly.

My best friend and I went to Healdsburg last weekend for a Spa Getaway. We spent several hours being pampered and spoiled at A Simple Touch Spa! I had a 90 minute massage and a 1 hour Flower Berry Facial by Jin. OH MY GOSH… it was amazing! The massage technique that my massage therapist Jin used was so incredible! Long, slow soothing stretching movements which made my muscles melt in relaxation! I have had many massages in my life but hands down this was the best ever! She allowed me to completely relax and I felt all of my stresses disappear! The spa was extremely clean and the massage table was very comfortable. I liked that she used a heated gel pad on top of the table which kept me warm and soothed my muscles.
Jin shared with me that she purchased the spa about 6 months ago from the previous owner and was so happy to be in the business of helping others feel better as massage is her true passion. She was an absolute pleasure to work with while booking our appt. times. She was so accommodating and even offered us suggestions on where we should spend some of our time while we were in Healdsburg for the weekend. I can not say enough great things about Jin and her spa. I will DEFINITELY be referring her to friends and family as well as booking another visit to the spa in the near future!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place and my massage was AWESOME. I was wary at first when coming to this place. I read the reviews with regards to the previous owners, but I was desperate for a massage and decided to give the new owners a change and boy was I’m glad I did!
I was in Jin’s (my masseuse) capable hands. I felt my body turn to soft happy goo.
I guess this’ll be one of my definite go to places when I come back to Healdsburg.

Once again my wife and I found ourselves in Healdsburg, and, this time, it was for a family gathering. Anyway, after a visit to Selby Winery Tasting Room, we noticed this quaint little Spa tucked away in an alley/​driveway next to the Ivy House. Heck, after having to deal with our families, we needed a drink and, now, a good massage to get our tight-​politeness-​McDonald-​smile out of the way –especially MINE! Luckily for us, this place has open slots after 6pm –perfect time for us to walk over to HBG for a snack, little bit of shopping and back here for treatments.
As my wife and I entered the Spa, we were greeted with genuine and unpretentious smiles from Jin. It turns out that she is the new owner since June 1, 2013, and has been busy putting in a lot of TLC into this place. She admitted that there are still some works to be done –like fixing the sound system– but overall the place looks warm, clean, inviting, and without the heaviness of oil smell. It is a small spa with only three treatment rooms (one for couple), and a room with a huge tub (3 or 4 people may fit). Anyway, my wife opted to have the Swedish therapy with another therapist and me the Deep Tissue with Jin.
Before my treatment, Jin asked me for additional clarification on the Client Intake Form that I just completed. I admit that –at first– I was annoyed by this, but, by doing so, Jin was able to adjust her treatment method to help me out with my left shoulder pain via a combo of Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, and Sports Therapy. Boy, she was right to question me further and I THANKS her for it. Jin digs deep into my muscles, isolated those pesky knots and breaks them up, and, also, stretches the tight muscle-​tendons areas to where I feel so loose and relax to the point that I wanted to go back to the inn and veg. OH, for a while there I thought this girl might know some martial-​arts (she doesn’t) because the way she locked my joins to do the stretches are great and almost martial-​art like. I would definitely recommend Jin and her spa to my friends.

Looking at these reviews, I’m completely dumbfounded how anyone could possibly enjoy an experience at this place… unless there is one really great employee (perhaps the owner) and one dreadfully awful one.
First, it was annoying just trying to make an appointment. Messages not returned, unclear answers to basic questions, like «what are your hours?» and «how far out are you typically booked?», and a general feeling that the employee I finally spoke with would prefer to close early than put in a full day for the income.
The space itself leaves much to be desired as far as ambiance, but I can overlook that for a great massage. The first thing I noticed was that the room was far too cool. I do not chill easily, and I simply could NOT relax because I was so tense from being cold the whole time.
As far as the massage itself… I literally questioned whether this employee (I believe her name was Heather) was certified. The lubricant she used was literally cold. I don’t know what in the world it even was, because it soaked into my skin so quickly, it was as if she was rubbing on me with nothing. This caused my skin (which is NOT sensitive) to feel it was being pulled & rubbed raw. It was actually hurting my skin for her to rub it… and did I mention her hands were COLD? Did I mention the room was cold?
There was NO symmetry whatsoever to her method. She worked on one side longer than the other when she finally did work on arms and legs. But probably 90% of the massage time was spent with her standing at my head & rubbing with flat hands up/​dwn/​up/​dwn/​up/​dwn/​up/​dwn/​up/​dwn… the middle of my back with no pressure. I seriously wanted to ask her what was going on, because she wouldn’t move around.
Lastly, I don’t feel that aromatherapy is a must, but in this case, it was necessary, to cover up her BODY ODOR and BAD BREATH! Her b.o. was noticeable enough face down, but imagine lying face-​up with her at your head & not only having her pits in your face, but her lunch breath (I’m guessing onions & garlic) breathing on your face. Did I mention that her nose was stuffed up (she was sniffling the entire time) and she was breathing from her mouth?
In the end, the phone up front was ringing & she ended abruptly (short of an hour) to go answer it.
I’m not exaggerating when I say that this experience was a nightmare. The only saving grace is that I used a gift certificate, so I was only out a small tip (which I shouldn’t have left). If the person who gave me the gift (a very influential member of our community) knew, she would be in there raising such hell. I’m a local in the fitness/​coaching business, so they couldn’t have screwed up with anybody worse. I have MANY clients looking for massage services.
They couldn’t possibly have failed more miserably.

It was one of the best massages I ever got. The place isn’t spa like at all sheets and towels are pretty darn basic and polyester. But that girl was sure good!!! It is a full one hour massage too
