Edge at Traverse Point

Apartments are nice, location is great, staff is the worst I’ve ever encountered in my 15 plus years of renting. Zero communication, zero care for tenants, zero attempts to resolve issues! Shown a different unit than what I got. Unit is filthy and appliances are broken, such as Ac leaks into unit, 3 months later… Ac issue remains and I was told by mgmt that «everyone leave the units filthy because you are not getting your deposit back»! Too many issues to write about on here!!! I would recommend you rent elsewhere!

Been trying to get someone to call me back for over a month. They call back right away if you are a prospective tenant but as soon as they have your money they disappear. Lots of comp in the area I would think they would care more about their client

This review is based of the touring of the property, lease signing and move in. I have resided here only a week so far will update again a few months down the road. Overall (at least so far) my experience here has been much more positive than most of the other reviewers. Granted I haven’t been here long and that could still change. I will start with the positives
OFFICE STAFF: I can say this is the biggest positive so far. Have dealt mainly with Samantha who was great in giving us all the information and helping us with the process. She was very polite and patient as we had many concerns and questions. The manager RJ has also been very nice and willing to help.
MAINTENANCE: Moving in we had noticed some minor things that needed attention. Nothing major just some wear and tear. All these guys have been nothing but nice and respond promptly to all requests. Not sure why another reviewer said there was only one maintenance person? I’ve noticed at least four in my short time here.
AMENETIES: 24 hour beautiful pool and gym. Nice clubhouse and business center.
Now for things I’m not liking
PARKING: This is a big drawback. During the day it’s not a problem pretty slow around the complex. But overnights is a problem. You get the one covered spot but late nights uncovered is hard to come by especially in the area I’m in. Even the covered spot isn’t great. Many of them your parked right next to the support beam so unless you pull in the spot just right you can barely open the car door.
NOISE: I was actually going to say this was a positive until recently. While I think people saying paper thin walls are a little exaggerated you will for sure hear the noise above you and the side of you. We are on the first floor which I expected to hear noise above us which hasn’t been too bad but I believe people just moved in on the side of us and the last two days I have been listening to shit constantly being slammed against the wall. I’m hoping they are just moving stuff in and it will subside soon. You have to expect some of it with apartment living but starting to get a bit excessive.
Other things I don’t really have an opinion on yet.
RESIDENTS: Such a mix of people that live here. I’ve seen everything from guys driving BMWs and Lexus that look like they are president of a bank to people that look like to quote another reviewer «like they were extras on the breaking bad set» lol. Everyone seems to mind their own business. Have exchanged a few hellos with people around me most seem pleasant.
SAFETY/​SECURITY: Haven’t really seen anything that bothers me yet. Multiple police cars were here one evening I believe for a domestic. Walking to the club house one day it sounded like a couple was about to kill each other a few buildings down I’m guessing that’s were the police were. I can’t really fault the apartment on that though those things happen in every neighborhood. They claim there is overnight security. I’ve seen them one time and I’m in and out at all hours. Not saying there isn’t but I’m guessing it’s a quick drive through.
Not sure if I can overall recommend the place as it hasn’t been very long. I will say it’s much better than most of the other reviewers have stated at least in my experience so far.

I’m not a fan of writing negative reviews. That said, I feel compelled to caution everyone away from this horrible excuse of an apartment. What I’m describing is not an exaggeration or ramblings of an overly sensitive tenant. For your safety both physically and of your possessions, I strongly urge anyone considering this dump to look elsewhere.
2 months ago, my car was hit by someone right in front of the apartment building– no witnesses and no surveillance cameras. The police came out and took my statement, but management did nothing, even after my futile attempts to contact them on multiple occasions.
Utilities are separate, but what they don’t tell you is that it’s an average of all the tenants with your floor plan. This means that no matter what you personally use, you’re still paying for someone’s water use. I’ve never heard of that, ever.
In the last 2 weeks, there have been 16 burglaries, 7 of which occurred in 1 night! Yes, you’ve read that correctly. Keep in mind you’re not in a bad area nor are you paying super cheap rent.
The management team is incredibly worthless and unhelpful. When I first looked at the location, they had someone brought from Colorado to show us around. He was friendly, charismatic, and really sold the place to my roommate and I. It turns out they used the old bait and switch: he doesn’t actually manage this place. Furthermore, they turnover the staff so much that I have no clue who’s in the office.
To make matters even worse, the walls are so paper thin that I can hear my neighbor violently having sex at 3 in the morning. I’m not trying to cramp her style, but I don’t like being woken up at the crack of dawn by what sounds like animals being tortured.
I could go on and on but you get the gist. Like I said, I’m not being vindictive or looking to throw people under the bus. My main priority is to bring awareness to the craphole that is The Edge. Please I beg of you, find somewhere else to live. This place is unbearable and no one should have to live in a place like this. Yes they «look» nice but it’s all an act. If you’re looking for a safe, friendly, trustworthy place, keep looking because this isn’t it!

Seven «7» burglaries in one night… No suspects no security «cameras» which we pay every month. Holding on tough lease is almost up.

If ZERO were an option, it would be ALL OVER THIS REVIEW.
I moved into The Edge when I first moved to Las Vegas. The complex was brand new at the time and the management was fantastic. My lease is up in August and I honestly can’t wait — and if I have to break it, I will if it means that I get out of here sooner.
Management changes reflected in a HORRIBLE experience that has persisted for months. Neighbors that blast music constantly make home feel more like a rave happening on the Strip. No matter how many times you call or complain, nothing comes of it. The staff doesn’t return phone messages for any complaints and doesn’t investigate the problem as an advocate for a resident.
The product they are selling is great. The people they are renting to? Not so much. What once was a young elite and family oriented complex with wonderful neighbors and a great experience has turned into a fraternity party with 5 or 6 college kids cramming into 2 bedroom apartments. I pay $ 1300 per month for a 2 bedroom 2 bath and I would pay double for a 1 bedroom for a better experience than this.
The staff is a joke. They don’t do anything and will con you in to any sort of deal. Maintenance is just as responsive as the staff — which means they never respond. So if something goes wrong with your refrigerator — expect to wait a week for a new one (trust me this happened to me).
Overall, steer ANYWHERE but here and you’ll thank me later.

Three stars for Johnathan! Always friendly and upbeat. I hope another company steals him away, he is a gem. AMC needs to hire more people like him, or else continue to lose great tenants.

Moved into here right when they first opened up staff and everyone was friendly. My girlfriend at the time and I both loved it amenities, the gym, pools, hot tubs and it’s close to all stores is great! The negatives… being in the construction business these places are built so cheaply it’s not funny I could hear my neighbor turn on his bathroom fan, we could hear his TV, hear the other neighbors play their music. Yes we are younger and didn’t mind it and we had our fair share of complaints for being «too loud» when we were living our lives and everyone else but it just interfered because the walls are paper thin. So expect to hear your neighbors and their activities on a daily basis. This one isn’t on the community so much but they could be better on enforcing their «clean up after your pet» kinda things there was a few people who always walked their dogs and they would do their business on the walk way and they wouldn’t clean up after them… one of the last things I would like to see when I get home or wake up to is it smelling like a farm. Overall it’s an Okay place definitely wouldn’t be my first recommendation but it makes the cut.

So I moved here from Los Angeles. I love the place I live. It’s nice and spacious. I had read the previous reviews and was worried. Jonathan and Rebecca at the office put my mind and ease and made this move an easy and very enjoyable experience. I can’t thank them both enough for finding me and my girlfriend the perfect place. Now on to the apartment, it’s just me and my girl so we have a one bedroom. And it’s bigger than I thought. The closet is big (even though she takes 80% of the space). Living room is really spacious and the kitchen is a nice size. The TV is a nice added bonus. Oh I also like the patio space. I feel safe and secure knowing that it’s completely gated and in a nice area. It’s close to quite a good amount of stores and restaurants. The easy freeway access is great when I’m going to work. Overall I’m very happy with my choice to call the edge home.

My boyfriend and I had been looking for a place in Henderson for awhile. As soon as we came into the leasing office to ask for a tour we were greeted so warmly by Jonathan. He answered all of our questions about The Edge. We had seen the previous reviews about The Edge and it raised some concerns for us. We came and spoke with Jonathan and Rebecca in the leasing office and they were so kind to explain that those reviews were from the previous management company and they had just taken over.
Jonathan and Rebecca were so great and made us feel at home even before signing a lease. I fell in love with the décor, it is beautiful and modern. The apartments are great and very spacious. We decided to forget all the old reviews we had read and signed our lease with Jonathan and Rebecca. Best decision we made. We are very happy and feel welcomed and at home. The staff at The Edge are very nice, helpful, and definitely are here to make sure the residence are kept happy. If you are looking for a new apartment to live that is clean, spacious, with great décor and amenities this is your home.

Where do I begin! They are the best! They will bend over backwards just to fulfill your needs. Everyone is so happy in the office they enjoy coming to work. John in the office is not only the coolest dude but he can still stay professional at the same time. They don’t mess around with you everything they have told us that we thought «wow that has to be too good to be true» it was true. All the maintenance workers are super friendly and nice. The pool area is never dirty they are on top of their game with the cleaning. I’m not a fitness God or anything but their gym is perfect. If you are second guessing living here you shouldn’t it’s the best place to call home im inlove and I’m not going anywhere anytime soon!!!

After now living here for nearly 6 months, my opinion of this place has actually gotten worse. When it got cold, all the incredibly cheap heating units started going on. The units would make a noise that, without exaggeration, sounded like a model T engine. And with the paper thin walls, you could see how this would be a problem. I had to complain for 2 months, being told there was no problem. I even had the manager of the complex and the maintenance manager come out and at first they refused to do anything. In that same meeting the maintenance manager even verified that he knew there was an issue with several of the units to myself and the manager, (who’s name is Jed). Jed still would not do anything. I had to contact a lawyer, who informed me the complex had effectively broken their contract by admitting there was a problem and not fixing it. Once I informed Jed of this, that problem got fixed pretty fast.
This place is not only poorly constructed, but it is also poorly designed. If you live on the first floor then you upstairs neighbor’s front door is next to your bedroom window, so if they slam the door your whole bedroom wall and windows shake. My neighbors have been doing this since I moved in. Again I brought this to the attention of Jed (the «manager») who told me there was nothing he could do, and that it was probably just changes in the weather that were causing the door to slam.
One more note on the poor construction: The windows are terrible, when it gets windy the wind will blow through the space between them and make the blinds blow around INSIDE THE APARTMENT. I had to put tape on the window to stop this.
So, all I can say is if you enjoy crappy construction, rude neighbors, cheap appliances, and what has to be the most impotent and deceitful office staff, then this is a great place to live. However, if you are a normal person who wants a nice place to live; DO NOT MOVE HERE.

The Edge Apartments are not what I expected for luxury especially for the expensive rent you pay. It’s not cheap to live here. I pay roughly $ 1200 for 2 bedroom 2 bath. So let me point out a few key areas of concern. The WALLS ARE THIN AS DENTAL FLOSS. I can hear my neighbor snoring when he sleeps and its so loud its like he is sleeping next to me. You can hear your neighbors slam the door downstairs. WATER TANK EYESORE when you drive up to The Edge. They are building new apartments next door so their is now a giant tank you have to look at when you drive up. POOP AND CIGARETTE BUTTS EVERYWHERE. There are so many dogs here so do not move here if you don’t love animals. People do not curb their dogs at all. It is a huge problem. There are doggy bags everywhere but people are 2 lazy to use them. Then there are dogs here over 100 pounds that are deemed service dogs but they have horrible behavior. People smoke and drop their cigarette butts everywhere. No respect at all. The dog park is disgusting. I don’t allow my dog in there at all because of all the poop. THE APARTMENTS are brand new come with a 46 inch flatcreen TV but if your living room is small it doesn’t make sense. All the appliances are stainless steel. Paneled doors. dark cabinents, nice washer and dryer room, the walk in closets are roomy. The wall color is very warm and inviting. Its like a dark eggshell. The CARPETS ARE CHEAP AND HORRIBLE. I went through 2 vacuums already. THE FAUCETS ARE CHEAP. The kitchen faucet is so small that you it is so hard to wash your pots and pans. It doesn’t even come with a sprayer. They should have provided a gooseneck faucet. THE POOLS are resort style and remind you of the W Hotel. However, people love to swim at 3AM and have pool parties. The sound in the pool area travels and echos even when you speak in most moderate tones. People hang out here all day and tear the place up. How do you destroy the place where you live! THE PEOPLE that live here come from all walks of life. Although I have met some really nice people, there are a few that are questionable. The staff here will listen to you. I deal with Mariah mostly and she gives me the best service. Jenn is also helpful as well. The maintenance staff is friendly and they do work hard at cleaning the place up. The pool area is a disaster in the mornings and she cleans it up and tirelessly scrubs the grills. All in all, it could be a beautiful relaxing place to live, however people can ruin it for you. And the thin walls.

I moved in with my boyfriend two months ago, and so far I have few complaints. The grounds are well kept, the décor is modern and inviting, and little details in the apartment (paneled doors, stainless steel appliances, dark cabinets, laminate wood flooring, walk in closets) are aesthetically pleasing. That being said, the construction of the apartments are a little lacking. We live in a 2b/​2b upstairs unit. I like the design of the stairs being interior, however it’s not the most efficient design. My boyfriend had to return a couch he’d originally purchased because it could not fit in the small space where the front door and stairs meet. Also, the walls are paper thin. I can constantly hear my neighbors every Friday and Saturday night when they throw their weekly get togethers. I can also hear my other neighbors moving around their unit when I’m using the bathroom. I can only hope they don’t hear me when I’m doing my business in there!
As far as the grounds go, they are well maintained, and for what resources they have, they do a good job with the upkeep. I understand this complex is fairly new, so there is not a lot of vegetation. In the future it would be nice to see a little more grass, trees, bushes, etc as the complex matures.
I have had very little interaction with the staff, so I cannot really comment in that regard. However, the few times I have gone into the office for a question, they have been pleasant and professional. Likewise, the maintenance staff is always friendly and cheerful when passing by.
Trash areas are well contained, and there are more than enough near our unit that I’m not walking too far to take out my garbage.
I do wish there was a little more uncovered parking near our unit as we only have one covered parking spot.
The amenities look fabulous. So far I have only used the fire pits, but the pool/​BBQ areas look modern, clean, and inviting. Also, there are several dog stands with bags and trash cans for those who have pets. The complex also makes an effort to stay green, which is something you don’t see much of in Vegas. They have a hybrid car charger near the front of the complex, and there is a recycling bin set up for those of us that what to help reduce our carbon footprint. The management also makes an effort to engage the community in special events, much more so than any other apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. I have not attended any of these events, but the fact that management makes an effort to make these apartments more community based is encouraging.
Speaking of the community, there seems to be quite an eclectic mix of people living here. I’ve seen people who work in the service industry (as I do myself), college students, people who look like extras off the set of Breaking Bad, business professionals, and everything else in between. I guess as long as your neighbor isn’t Jesse Pinkman you should be okay.
Overall, I enjoy living here. I love the location as it is very convenient to the ²¹⁵⁄₉₅. It feels quiet and tucked away, yet I’m 30 seconds to the freeway. If you can deal with hearing your neighbors occasionally I would definitely recommend The Edge.

My lease is up and my husband and I are so happy! We paid $ 1055 for a small one bedroom. We thought paying that much we would have a great apartment, great service. Well we were very wrong. These apartments were «brand new» when we moved in, the carpets here are horrible, they killed 2 of my vacuums! The dishwasher sucks, the sink handles come off in your hand and that’s AFTER the maintenance guy comes. The bug problem is horrible, I constantly have crickets in my apartment. The front office people were really nice when we moved in, but somewhere along the line different people came in and they are RUDE!
We are doing the last part of the move out, the walk through and the people did not bother to show up on time. Needless so say that if I could put zero stars I would. My advise to anyone looking for an apartment. Look elsewhere!!!

Let me start from the two months free advertisement, the look and lease hook ($ 230). Oh and each apartment comes with a 46″ flat screen television which is great for the tiny living room. We put a deposit on a two bedroom apartment first floor and when we were ready to move in the apartment was no longer available.
The staff member Mariah stated «oh since you mentioned a upstairs apartment I thought (don’t think) you were not interested so I gave it away. Never checking with us. The other reviews stating «DO NOT MOVE HERE» are correct. The Edge apartments are small for the price, there is barely any grass for the dogs which you pay rent for each and the staff should not be working at McDonalds let alone handling your day to day living conditions. When you first look at an apartment it looks nice. We went back a month before moving in to do measurements and started to find all kinds of problems (ex. cabinet kitchen doors on backwards, tilting refrigerator and when you measure the rooms assuming furniture is inside you may have to climb over your rent paying dog to get to the other side of the room. Fortunately getting screwed by these incompetents led us to renting a beautiful house 5 times bigger and without deception.
Conclusion: If you are a person or family who like to be lied to and deceived then you have found your forever home.
