Doug and Nichole are amazing folks, very friendly and helpful! They have a wide selection of games and consoles at great prices, varying from current to vintage to imports. Every so often, rare and hard to find items show up so you never know what to expect when you walk in. Do yourselves a favor and check them out!

I walk in and immediately get met with an atmosphere full of Smash Bros. and retro games. It was awesome. I was at the very least, hoping to walk out with a PS2, walked out with everything I wanted, and then some. I went there to price out a PS2, and after hearing a price that beat most of Amazon, I jumped on it. Immediately I asked if they had a DDR dance pad, and as luck would be, they indeed had one for that console, which put a smile on my face.
All in all, I had a great experience at Retro City Games. They have very reasonably priced classic consoles, and a very decent library of games for each system (which will most prices on Amazon. DDR Extreme and GTA San Andreas were a fraction of any price I found on Amazon.), along with peripherals you wouldn’t think they’d have a lot of stock of.
And on top of that, they hold a weekly game night, I believe, and have tournaments every now and then.

So far I only got 2 games here for Playstation. Final Fantasy 7 and Tomb Raider 3. Which I haven’t played those since like early 90’s like 99 to early 2000’s like 2001 – 2002.

My favorite retro game store in Vegas! The owners are so nice and everything is priced to sell! They always have new stuff coming in so a lot of times I find some gems in their pile of stuff not yet put on shelves. If this was closer to my house I’d be there on a daily basis! I’d love to volunteer some of my time to help their business grow.

I’m a video game collector so when I found out about this place I had to come check it out. It’s a hole in the wall yet they have tons of retro video games. I’ve been taking advantage of their sales and marked-​down hidden treasures. Just wish I had more disposable money.
For someone like me, this place is a lot better than GameStop. Not just because of the games but also the owners; Nicole and Doug, they’re very friendly and welcoming people.

This place is pretty awesome. I was introduced to this place by a friend and ever since I’ve been trying to visit them weekly. The owners are probably the nicest people you’ll meet and always ready and willing to help you out the moment you enter the door. I’m into the retro gaming so NES and SNES. sometimes their stock is a little slim and random since it depends on what people trade in but if you are looking for something in particular they are more then willing to set it aside for you if it comes in. I’ve gotten lucky and have scored some good games just because someone decided to trade in some games while I was there. So all together their customer service is great and their prices are very fair.
I live all the way on the opposite side of town but I refuse to go back to the other retro game stores in town now that I know about this place because they can’t compare to Retro city games.

This store is really friendly. They’re really helpful and have some cool stuff. Really though. It’s kind of awesome the stuff they have.
I’ll definitely be returning in the future!

Very nostalgic and runs off of nostalgia. Everything you could want doe retro games in stock. Back gets a little messy but still has good products at affordable prices. I was even surprised to see a vinyl crate and found myself a Pink Floyd record for $ 5. What a steal!

Great place to buy or sell old and new games and systems. The owners and very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend. We sold lots of games and both kids DSs to them and bought games from them.

Fantastic store! Doug and Nicole are the nicest people ever and are willing to help you find whatever you need. The prices for their games are beyond amazing and their trade ins are more than fair! I make it my goal to stop by this store at least once a week to blow my paycheck, spend extra cash, show a friend this awesome store or to checkout their game nights.

As others have mentioned, Doug and Nicole are awesome. Nice folks to talk to, knowledgeable in their games, and very good with their prices.
They’ve also got a great selection of retro games. I walked away with huge lot of nes, genesis, and Atari 2600 games at a reasonable price.
I’ll be going here whenever I’m in town for my game hunting needs. Can’t recommend it enough.

Excellent customer service with a vast selection to boot! Even though I only needed a game cube memory card, which I got at a generous discount on from $ 8 to $ 5, I could definitely see myself coming back for any obscure or old video game cravings.

I was excited to come in and dig through all these classic games. I bought a PS2 just out of nostalgia, but when I got home the controller didn’t work. When I brought it back they replaced it, and gave me a free memory card which was nice. But once when I got home the memory card didn’t work. Now the AV cord is starting to short out after only using it twice.
I know it’s an old system, so I’m not too peeved about it, I just wish they would be more careful about what they send out the door.

Can I give this place 10 stars instead of 5?
I’ve been a gamer for over 30 years and really enjoy my old school games moreso than the newer generations. First off, the owners Doug and Nicole are just super awesome people. They are gamers themselves and also love them some pop culture stuff (Star Wars, Nightmare Before Christmas, ect.) I first went in this store a week or so after they opened and was impressed so much by these two awesome people, that this is the only place I buy my retro stuff from anymore. These two put in 12 hour days almost every day of the week without a day off and it really shows. They love what they do!
If you’re ever in the area, please support this place! I wish we had more like it around town. Yes, we have other game stores, but many with employees who are too busy with the Magic cards to care about the rest of the store or customers in it. One even went out of business that was run exactly like this.

Absolutely love this store. My boyfriend and I are addicted, the owners are awesome & they always have a great selection of games. We don’t live close but try to find a way to make it down often!

Retro City Games is the place to go for pretty much any previous-​generation console needs.
Doug and Nicole are extremely helpful and I have found myself going to the shop at least once a week ever since I found out about it because they have such a great selection and because the atmosphere is so inviting.
I highly recommend them both for their customer service being leaps and bounds greater than every other retro-​gaming shop in Las Vegas and for their always-​changing selection of games and merchandise, which you don’t really see too many of the other retro stores doing.

My boyfriend and I came in on Black Friday cause we had been talking for a long time about getting a GameCube again and I had my ps2 stolen a while back and wanted another one. They were having 20% off so we checked it out and we got a GameCube with a controller and all the wires for 40 and just the PS2 console (cause we still had the wires and two controllers) for 25 and with the 20% off it was only 56 $! WTF for two systems? We were like YES take our money! They have a good selection of older games and are very knowledgeable and nice!
Even better, the disc drive on the ps2 wouldn’t stay closed and I brought it back and they replaced it no questions asked.

I saw an advertisement for this place on Facebook and decided to check out a new game store on my side of town.
The store is tucked into a quiet strip mall with ample parking. Upon entering the store, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, and well organized the store is. Most of other game stores I’ve been to were messy and difficult to locate what I was looking for. Anyway, all of the games are organized in display cases by system and title. They are laid out flat so it’s easy to see the front label and not have to search by the top label. Also, from what I’ve seen, they don’t have any games in poor condition, which is a plus for collectors. The prices are also very competitive. I just bought games from another store that same day, and found the exact same games for about 20−30% cheaper.
The owners, Doug and Nicole, greeted me as I walked in and told me that they just opened and had a special discount for their grand opening. They were quick to answer my questions and very helpful as well. I really like their down-​to-​earth vibe, it was nice to be able to talk to them about games and all other things geek culture.
I’m really excited for Doug and Nicole and their store, it’s nice to have a shop in this side of town that’s polite, clean and organized. I hope others find this gem!
