Simplicity Laser Hair Removal

I’ve been going here for almost a year and typically have good experiences. I felt compelled to write today because I’ve an unusually negative experience today. I came for my appointment at 5:30 and was told my appointment wasn’t until 7:20 to which I replied woah no. Then she said oh it’s at 6:30…so who really knows what time it was at other than the 5:30 which it was scheduled for by me.
Either way, I get there are human errors but the way Alyssa handled the situation was rude. She was very short with me and made no effort to accommodate me being there but has been so nice to every other person that has come in. I feel sad to say but because of her a 5 star review went to a 2 star.

This review is coming from someone who is very nervous about doctors/​dentists/​having anything done to me that could slightly be painful. Hopefully it helps someone who is the same way. After a few years of really wanting Laser Hair Removal, but being scared of the pain/​cost, I finally took the plunge. I decided to try Simplicity after seeing my friends results (she’s been getting laser hair removal here for 2+ years).
Result–
I bought the full body unlimited package and have had only 2 treatments on every surface. I am the ideal candidate for laser, so that might have something to do with my results (light skin/​dark thick hair). So far I have seen amazing results. No, i’m not completely hairless, nor do I expect to be. But the regrowth of my hair has slowed significantly and grows a lot thinner. And in some areas there are already patches of hair that haven’t grown back/​grow back very slowly. Even though its not hairless, from what i’m used to dealing with (having a 5 o’clock shadow on my armpits when I shaved them in the morning -.-), I am very very happy with these results.
Getting the treatment/​pain level–
I was very wary of trying laser because I am a huge baby with a low pain tolerance level. Yes, the treatment is painful, but it is manageable. The pain feels like a hot rubber band snap, and only lasts less than a second. It is more noticeable on places with thicker hair (lower legs, arimpits, etc). During your treatment, they recommend you buy a «desensitizing gel». For $ 26 you get a tiny 1 oz bottle of Lidocaine cream. Took me a 2 second search on Amazon to find a 4oz bottle of Lidocaine cream fro $ 12. I won’t be making the mistake of buying the cream from Simplicity anymore!
Customer service–
Making your first appointment: To make your initial appointment/​start your service, you have to buy the package online. I was kind of put off by this at first because I would have liked to discuss different options/​packages with someone, but I guess it could be a good thing to avoid sales pitches. After reading other reviews I thought that I had to be wary of being up-​sold, but this wasn’t the case at all. I called the number to ask how to start, and was told to buy package online, so I did. One year unlimited for $ 999. Not a bad price I think, for what you’re getting.
Calling to reschedule/​get questions answered: Something worth knowing about Simplicity is that YOU CANT CALL THEM DIRECTLY. Every time you call to reschedule an appointment/​have any questions answered, any number you find will take you to their corporate call center and they filter your needs from there (the call center isn’t based in Vegas, so you always have to start the conversation with «Hi i’m a client at the Anthem location in Henderson, NV»). This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as the ladies on the phone are always very nice/​handle rescheduling efficiently and quickly. But it’s hit or miss on how long you wait on hold to talk to one of them. One day I listened to the on hold music for 20+ min. Most of the time they pick up right away.
People working at the office: The ladies working at the office are all nice, but some are more warm and friendly than others. This inconsistency is a little annoying. One day you will have someone performing the treatment who is very nice, warm, helpful, and makes you feel at ease, and the next time you will get someone who is pleasant, but kind of terse. Overall they are nice and are attentive, they ask if you are comfortable and will even suggest turning the laser down if they can tell you are in pain. I am always seen right at my appointment time and am in and out quickly.
Overall I would recommend Simplicity– mostly due to the awesome results.

I bought 2 groupons for full legs laser hair removal (for 6 sessions each, so 12 total) and even though I had already done 6 sessions previously at another place, I had no results. NO RESULTS AT ALL. At the end of my first set of sessions they convinced me if I got one more set I’d have all my hair removed but it was not so. They say it takes 10 – 12 sessions to get all hair removed to get you to buy their packages but I did 18 sessions in total and nothing happened! Mind you that I don’t have a lot of hair, my skin is fair, and the hair is dark. All conducive conditions to great results. Additionally, they do not treat people with Groupons as well their other customers. I had an appointment one evening at 5:30pm and I was told they were a little behind and it would take a few minutes for me to be seen. Another customer arrived at 6:15pm and was let in right away. When I asked why, they said their appointment was earlier than mine. Really? Then how come they arrived an hour after me? The real reason she walked right in? She was not a Groupon customer. They also try to sell you their ridiculously overpriced membership, to which you are committed for years and they won’t stop charging you even if you move. I have a friend who moved to Florida and was unable to cancel their membership despite several attempts to do so by phone and email, and providing proof she had moved as they requested. Stay away from Simplicity Laser Hair Removal. This place is a scam.

I have been going to this office for some time now. The staff is amazing. Things you should know for laser hair removal.
Facts you will see results if you go to the appointments as they advise.
Are you going to see results right way… it depends on your body.
Its a human body with hormes the change as does the hair growth and stimulation of new hair growth.
That being major factor for any one person going, be aware that it does happen but may take time.
I have PCOS which causes major hair growth. It was beyond horrific for me. I now have barely any hair growth and I am fully aware that I will have to continue treatment as directed due to the fact the human body has changing hormones. This for me is not a problem as the results are more than worth it.
I hope you give it a chance and have patience.

I’ve been going to the Henderson location for 6 months now. Everyone is always polite and I get in and out quickly. I have only had to cancel and reschedule once. It was no issue at all. I told my husband to come here as well. He agreed to try it out. He loves it! He’s gone 3 times for back, chest, and stomach. Great results. He’s happy he agreed to do it.
I say if you’ve been wanting to do laser hair removal, go to Simplicity.

The manager has since contacted me and offered me some services in order to apologize for the unfortunate circumstances which I do appreciate. The good thing is I have been very happy with the techs… Also as a result of my letter to the business they now have a number to where you can reach the location directly. That should help resolve any issues that you may have.

I have been going to Simplicity Laser in Henderson for a little over 18 months now and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. And yes, this business is «As good as it gets!»
Price:
I have read a lot of negative reviews for this business and I can say that nothing cosmetic is free. In fact, it’s quite expensive. But the prices offered at this location are unbeatable. I remember back in 2006 — 2007 when the technology was just coming out and you would pay thousands of dollars for an area and up to $ 10,000.00 for hair removal. Now, for as little as $ 79 — $ 99/​month (depending on what promotion is going on, you can get an unlimited package. That is why I say the prices are truly unbeatable.
Customer Service:
Hands down, their customer service is excellent. The girls are always friendly and they even call you if you request to be on the cancellation list. Allisan and Christa are by far two of the best employees at this location but all the girls are great!
Technology:
This Simplicity location offers the best in class lasers that treat with little to no pain.
Experience:
The treatment rooms are always very clean, the office staff are friendly, and I’m usually seen right at my appointment time.
Laser Hair Removal doesn’t work overnight. It requires committed effort from the patient and if you listen to the girls and do your part you will achieve permanent hair reduction results. I am 100% satisfied with the results and would personally recommend others to Simplicity Laser Henderson.

I spent so much time and money at this place for mediocre results. I purchased a groupon and was told if I wasn’t satisfied with the results after I had used up the (6) treatments with the groupon I could «trade up» and put that groupon towards the «any body area for a year offer groupon.»
After the 6 treatments, I wasn’t satisfied with the results, so I called to trade up and was told I couldn’t do that, even though every technician had told me I would be able to throughout the course of my groupon. They warned that I not stop part way through my treatments so I conceded and purchased the $ 69/​month because I could cancel anytime.
I went every six weeks for another 9 treatments and finally threw in the towel. I called to cancel and they asked my reason, I explained how many times I’d gone, the money I spent, the lack of results, and that each time I asked a technician how many treatments they thought I would ultimately need, I kept getting different answers. I understand it varies but they must have some idea, and if they don’t they shouldn’t say one groupon will be enough!
A manager contacted me and asked to meet so she could see my results. When we met, she agreed after the number of treatments I’d received I should be seeing better results. She gave me four free treatments which I appreciated and recently finished. There was no additional follow up and my results aren’t much different than before the 4 additional treatments. In the end, I spent $ 1,125 dollars and 19 trips over the course of two and a half years. I’m reminded of my disgust at the amount of wasted money and wasted time each time I shave:/

I paid $ 1000.00 for all hair removal, treatments for one year.
Underarms– great!
Lower legs– already have more growth (black hair)
Bikini — done except the white hairs, which I was warned about.
Facial– not a difference– still must wax/​shave
Had my lower legs not regrown, I’d have no complaints. Should the company wish to rectify that, I will delete this review.

So I went in for my last appointment today after 2 years of going there. I have written a bad review of Simplicity before because of the absurd late policy they used to have before they moved to their current location in Seven Hills. They used to turn people away for being late and It is apparent that they are still trying to turn people away who arrive for their appointments one way or another. It is worth it to mention that the majority of people who work there are high school students. It is HS students that work the lasers as well. The young lady today (I get a different girl each time) asked me two questions in an attempt to make me reschedule my appointment. The first question was whether I had been exposed to the sun. It was 98 degrees today. I said no more than usual. She said that in that case we should reschedule. I assured her that I am dark all year round and do not seek out the sun. Reluctantly she began to set up. She then asked me if I am satisfied with the hair reduction. I told her that I was not satisfied for most areas of my body. She said I could extend the two year plan at my current rate. Then i said that in some areas it has worked well like my arms and legs. I said «I don’t have to shave there anymore.» That’s when she got me. She said that we have to cancel our appointment because the lasers won’t work if I don’t shave. She looked at my arm and detected some stray hairs. You would think that they would have 1 or 2 disposable raisers on hand so as to not inconvenience their customers — but then they wouldn’t be able to send them away. I was dumbfounded. I asked the 17 year old for her supervisor. So she sent me to the 16 year old at the front desk who gave me a card with the supervisors name and assured me that they were just following policy. After 2 years, $ 2000, and 20 minutes of traffic I was sent away because of this new approach for scamming customers. After these exhausting 2 years dealing with the little girls obviously also exploited for the cheap labor that teenagers provide, I would have rather paid double the money for some professional customer service by adults. Don’t do it. It’s not worth the frustration.

First time I went it was great and pain free. Second time I went they said their normal machine was broken and used an older version on me. This one hurt pretty bad but it was tolerable. Afterwards my armpits felt like they were on fire I went and got aloe Vera to put on them. I had dark spots on my underarms that stayed for three weeks. I called and complained and the manager told me that «she used the same machine on herself»… Like that matters to me or my dark marks on my arms. Never going back.

My husband signed the $ 99 a month contract for 2 years unlimited. He schedules when they tell him, we shave him before he goes, and they still refuse to treat him even though there is no hair where they are working. What a waste of time and money this place is. I had my hair removal done elsewhere years ago. It was much more expensive, but if I had a regrown hair on my body, the nurses didn’t refuse to treat me. If your really want work done, find somewhere else don’t waste your time and money.

I love simplicity laser! I bought the unlimited membership and that was the best money I ever spent! If you want to get rid of the razors and shaving cream go with them. Staff makes you feel comfortable and they are so friendly. Don’t hesitate any longer give them a call. You’ll love it!

Professional — friendly and 90% of the time very timely! I see Justine as she always takes her time and you never feel rushed!

I visit the Summerlin location– I initially purchased my treatments through Groupon. I started with my full face. The treatment was almost painless and I was in and out in 20 minutes. I didn’t break out or have any sensitivity. 4 weeks after my first visit I noticed that my hair took longer to grow out and was finer. I called back and signed up for full body treatment. My hair is very dark, and course and naturally grows very fast. I’ve treated my abs, legs, lower back, full face and underarms. I am so happy with my treatments. I feel like the money I spend is so worth it! I’m glad I chose Simplicity over another laser hair removal company. I feel very lucky that I found a company that has knowledgeable staff.

I have been a recurring customer of Simplicity Laser for over one year, and I will try to list out my favorite and least favorite things about their office.
Favorite:
1 — They always have a friendly front desk person, with a personality.
2 — Their equipment, when working, is so much less painful than previous laser experiences I have had in the past (albeit a long time back).
3 — The office is clean, and in a good location.
Least Favorite (in order of importance):
1 — While the price is good, the «re-​scheduling scam» is that just like a gym, they make money by your no-​shows and push you off to the latest possible date. I am having 6 areas done on my body — on an unlimited package. Paying $XX monthly is not the concern, if I miss one appointment, I may have to wait six weeks for the next empty slot. This is not an optimally run business for customers. They don’t care about hair growth — or else they would expand. They would expand if it was optimal for them, not just their customers.
2 — They frequently cut appointments short because of cleanup time — but you always see staff members talking and spending time doing trivial things before and after. Certain body parts can be managed in 5 minutes but they would rather push you off for another 6 weeks. Lengthening your total contract needed.
3 — The equipment often breaks. 2 out of the last 5 – 6 times I was there, one of their 2 – 3 rooms was shut down, so they had to use a machine without the fan. That machine is old-​school, and very painful.
Look, if they get their act together — it is a very effective service. I would have paid double and been happy getting more regular available slots. Unfortunately, I am being strung along and they leave you in a «hairy» situation.

Waste of money. I signed the $ 99 a month contract for two yrs for my entire body (face, torso, arms, privates & legs). My contract ends in a month and I’m not satisfied with my results. After 2 years of MULTIPLE treatments (more than 10 on almost every part of my body), I’m still getting hair. It only works on dark, THICK hair, so bikini, underarms and lower legs. The only 3 areas that have left me somewhat satisfied. It will NOT work if you only have dark hair, light skin. It NEEDS to also be pube THICK hair lol.
*6−8 – 10 treatments will not be enough ladies, keep that in mind.
*And scheduling is a joke. They are crazy booked.

While trolling Groupon I came across Simplicity Laser’s AMAZING deals. I was a HUGE skeptic… so while discussing whether it was safe, worth it, or a scam at the theater I work in a few of the performers vouched heavily for Simplicity and have been using their services in both their Summerlin and Henderson offices previous to their Groupon offers. So I went ahead and started with their $ 99 eight treatments on a small area deal just to feel it out.
When I called to schedule an appointment Jenni told me about all their awesome membership deals, so I upgraded to a full face membership. Usually I am very firm with sales people because I go into conversations very educated about the service or item I am about to purchase, but upgrading my Groupon made so much sense for the price and the long term benefits.
Still a little wary about how my very sensitive skin would react to the actual pain and the few weeks post treatment I was hesitant about the full body membership even though I was SO READY to be hairless from the nostrils down. Luckily the girls in the office were kind and easy going and made sure I knew everything that was happening as we went along. I upgraded to the full body membership before I left their office.
Basically the break down for the memberships are paid monthly over an 18 month span. Unlimited treatments on what ever area (s) you have purchased. After the 18 months you are a member for life so you will receive free touch ups if something sprouts up or hormones change and cause new growth.
What makes me hesitant to go for ⁵⁄₅ stars is the pushy fact that they are all sales people for the most part. They all want that kick back from your upgrade referral. I really would have preferred to put my clothes back on at the end of first treatment and not had the «call me if you want to upgrade» final talk.

I’ve gotten both my underarms $ 99 and bikini $ 100 area done. I first began with Simplicity through Groupon but now they offer the same deals without having to go through Groupon.
They’re about 3 miles from my place and my wait time is under 5 minutes and so is the treatment. They’re always extremely friendly and when i’ve had to rebook for any reason, its never been a problem, so i dont know why people are giving negative points based on canceling appointments and charges but i always pay in cash all the time.
I wish i’d done this much sooner, ya know?
Today will be my 7^th treatment for my bikini area, so its time to apply Dr. Numb, ciao!

nicole was friendly. Quick. in & out. 1^st appointment. No complaints. Haven’t seen results yet. I go in for my next appointment in a about a week n a half. 6 weeks between. Clean office.
A little chilly tho. Got to wear some snazzy sunglasses during the treatment. I will be back to use the rest of my groupon.
