This is a solid park. To tell the truth, most of what I remember about it concerns the parking lot. It has these weird concrete pavers that form this odd grid pattern.(Hmm. Is «pattern» already inherent to «grid?») Anyway, one time I went to a big picnic there. I can’t remember the occasion, but there was a lot of food. We pigged out and ran to the playground, where one kid on the tire swing told me, «spin around on this, it totally feels like you’re gonna barf!» This was tremendously appealing to the nine-year-old me. His description, it turns out, was elegant in its precision. I had enough decency, I’m proud to say, to refrain from losing it until I had stumbled back to where my parents were eating/manning the grill.
