Foxmill Tae Kwon DO

My son went here for a year before deciding he wanted to dedicate more time to playing basketball. Master Tak and Master Han were fantastic. Highly recommended!

I have been going to classes at Fox Mill Tae Kwon Do three to four times a week for over ten years. That alone should be an indication of how worthwhile I feel the program to be. The tae kwon do classes are a perfect form of exercise as they work on cardio, strength, coordination, balance and even mental focus. The instruction is excellent as routines and skill drills vary from class to class keeping the participant engaged and on their toes. Better than going to the gym or working out on one’s own, I find these classes are the perfect motivational mix for enjoyment and success. The instructors are encouraging and challenge the students to try their best and improve. Yet, each student is viewed as an individual and their progress is always judged on the basis of his or her own abilities. Therefore, the environment is very supportive. Over the years, I have developed many strong friendships with the families that have attended Fox Mill Tae Kwon Do and these friendships have lasted even when some of my fellow classmates move on to other activities or to other parts of the world. This is because, what Fox Mill Tae Kwon Do fosters most of all, beyond fitness and martial arts skills, is a sense of community among the families that go there. The environment of mutual respect and appreciation extends to both adults and kids alike. Here, at Fox Mill Tae Kwon Do, each individual is a vital part of this community. That is why I still come several times a week. That is why my husband stayed to achieve his deputy black belt, my daughter her black belt and my son, like me, his third degree black belt. My whole family has grown along with Fox Mill Tae Kwon Do and Master Tak still knows them, as all his students, past and present, by name. My kids drop by to say hi when they are home from college because this is a place where they feel they belong and are a part of a greater family. I recommend Fox Mill Tae Kwon Do as an excellent place to get into shape, learn self defense/​martial arts skills and to forge friendships that will last throughout the years.

My daughter started here when she was in kindergarten (3 years ago) and I always felt like the school was a great place to learn some valuable martial arts skills. I liked it so much that about a year and a half after she started, I also enrolled. I am having a blast, and getting in the best shape of my life. Master Tak and his son Master Han have very different teaching styles, which actually complement each other very well. They both (and the other masters) are excellent at teaching and provide a great learning environment, no matter what age the student is. Finally, the school also has a great community around it and the camaraderie is excellent.

Master Tak and his family are amazing people and the facility is top notch. I went here has a kid and it was a huge part of my childhood. I made so many friends and have so many fond memories. We had birthday parties there, and I was the only 5^th grade girl in my class with a kick-​ass six pack! The place has been thriving for over a decade since and I am not surprised. I still stop in sometimes to see my old instructors and I am so impressed with everything I see.
