Bagels are great but they microwave their eggs… Banana smoothie is amazing also. Wouldn’t go if it wasn’t in my neighborhood

Funny I gave Einstein in Herndon 4 stars based upon great service and lesser bagel, but I give KSB3 stars for mediocre service but superior bagels. Not the be all end all bagel, but definitely better than Einstein. The folks here are just going thru the motions, may as well have robots. The other day there was a huge line because some clown ordered 12 – 20 bagel sandwiches. Rather than dedicate 1 or 2 staff to it, they had everyone working on that order and the line backed up. Poor use of resources and I was about to walk out when I realized what was going on, but then they finished his order.

I have to say that these are the best bagels in the area. The sandwiches are good, too, and you can get them on a bagel or on bread. The coffee is fresh whenever I go, the prices are reasonable, and there is a great Snapple selection which makes me feel like I’m in a NY bagel place.(As a NY native, I would be remiss if I did not say that I wish the bagels were larger… but in this area beggars can’t be choosers.)

I come for the breakfast bagels. Very good in my opinion.

Come here my whole life, so me and all my friends think this place is awesome. We just really didn’t know that there could be better spots that aren’t Einstein. I wish their bacon wasn’t microwaved. Their frozen java chip is really good, though! Back in high school I would get a tuna melt once in awhile, it’s actually pretty good.

It’s hard to only give 3 stars. I want this place to succeed. The bagels are so good! The problem is that the coffee is pretty bad. Like, so bad that I don’t go here some mornings specifically if I’m craving coffee more then food. The regular cream cheese is standard and the flavored cream cheeses are quite tasty. Prices aren’t crazy but they’re not great either. Since they’re the best bagels in the area they get 3 stars from me.

Coming from NJ, these are the best bagels i have had down here in VA. They taste good, but they are about the same size of lenders bagels. It’s def better then the bagel place on Elden, that place blows.

I have been going to KSB for about four years now, and more recently(over the past 3 months) almost every morning before work. I love that it is more of a local bagel place as opposed to one of the ‘chain’ stores like Einsteins. I have always had wonderful experiences at KSB and the employees have always been so helpful and friendly, which truly made it a great experience every time I went in. I recently went into the store when the owner was there working, and he was extremely rude to me – I have never experienced such rudeness at any establishment and even went as far to say that he was losing money from my business there(Are you kidding? I come in almost every morning) Needless to say, I will not be giving any of my further business to KSB, as much as I love the food and the staff there is absolutely no way that I will continue to give my money to such a rude owner(who obviously treats his staff horribly — evidence by him yelling at them almost the entire time I was there). I would rather spend my money at a ‘chain’ store than continue to give my business to a man who could care less about his customers and even go as far to say that they are losing him money. It is truly a great disappointment to me to say that I will no longer be eating at KSB.

Liked this little quiet spot for a ham egg and cheese on a blueberry bagel sandwich and coffee when I was working over Fox Mill Road in Reston. There’s sufficient seating inside, and a wide selection for food and beverages. You can choose from several signature bagel sandwiches in addition to salads and pizza, and they have lattes and cappuccinos. It’s rarely crowded(usually just a few others if at all in the early morning, which makes the place a serene haven before the morning rush). You’d also appreciate having an independent café in another stereotypical strip mall where your alternatives are Starbucks and Subway.

Just your average bagel spot. The staff is REAL nice. I go there because its convenient and because of how efficient they are when I call in to place a carry out order. Compared to the other bagel spots in the area… the bagels are proportioned best. Meaning they arent HUGE sized bagels, so they are closest to 1 serving size. I LOVE their chicken salad there and also like the fact that you can choose from regular bacon or turkey bacon(my bf ALWAYS ordered the BLT lol). As I said, I go there to support my local shop. The staff is friendly and remembers a frequent face.

I’ll go out of my way to support a local shop. I don’t want the country to be overtaken by cookie cutter chains. But the local shop has to deliver the quality and, unfortunately, KSB doesn’t. The bagels were really dense and without much flavor. If I didn’t know better I’d think they were stale but I bought them at 8 am and I take them at their word that they’re made fresh daily. And the coffee was weak — about McDonalds quality. Einstein and Wegmans are better choices for bagels around here.

This place is almost always busy when I go in at breakfast time, but I don’t see anything special about it. The service is never consistent and they advertise a lot of things they don’t actually serve. The bagels are nothing to brag about.

I stopped by KSB after another revelation driving to work. i was starving, and it was valentines day — i was about to go have the longest day, ever.(my restaurant beat our NY and Boston chains!) so i needed some fuel for my 12 hour day. was about to go into starbucks but remembered that this was here. i got a pumpernickel and light cream cheese which was fresh and pretty good. i also brought my own mug in for coffee and the girl behind the counter just charged me for a small. i also bought a tea bag for later and she was like just have it and i insisted on paying so it was 0.25 cents lol. my one thing — they charge more for light cream cheese. which is weird. i just also never understood how a bagel shop, not just this one in particular, charges almost $ 3 for a bagel and cream cheese but just 0.95 cents or a little more for just the bagel. really? its just annoying. the place is small, could definitely use an update but who cares if the bagels are good? the staff was friendly for 9 a.m. on a saturday, more friendly than i would probably ever be…

A standard bagel place that is right next to the Giants and Glory days in Fox mill center. Nothing spectacular about the bagel or the coffee. They have started providing free wireless connectivity now-a-days. I havent been there for lunch — so not sure how good the place is during lunch time.
