Great service!!. Comfortable beds!.. Peace and silence!.. Slept like a baby!!! What else can one want…

We had our daughter’s wedding at Hyatt Regency Dulles last weekend May 13^th and May 14^th!
Laura Ashley, Eric, Lance and their team did an amazing job executing months of planning. Each and every one of our guests are calling to let us know about how amazing the venue and the staff is! All our guests (about 200) who stayed at the hotel had nothing to say but good things about service we received this weekend. We will ever be grateful for their hospitality and service, for life long memories our family and friends will cherish forever! Thanks again! Prayers for many more successful years ahead!

TERRIBLE quality for the price paid. We booked online and arrived late to discover our king bed room we had reserved was not available! They tried to give us a room w doubles and then begrudgingly offered a handicap accessible queen and a comped breakfast. The latter was appreciated but did NOT make up for the fact that the shower only produced scalding hot water. I hope that physically disabled customers been able to safely escape this shower. Neither my husband or I were able to shower after traveling for 24 hours. We were also too exhausted and rushed to request a shower elsewhere. In addition there was severe water damage in the room with decomposing walls and a sink that had clearly fallen off the wall and been hastily reattached.
I had also stayed here two week ago and had a lukewarm experience then. Pros– large modern rooms with comfortable beds. Cons– bar food was the worst food we had had in a long time. Dinner wait was 45 min and so we were forced to purchase the pricey and unimaginative-​mediocre dinner buffet. I suppose a pro was that we were able to actually shower during the first stay.
All in all both stays were disappointing ESP for the price paid.

I attended an all-​day conference at the Hyatt. I’m currently nursing my baby so, I needed a space with privacy where I could pump at 3 different points throughout the day. Eric, the conference manager, was so kind and gave me access to one of the hotel rooms for the entire day, free of charge! It completely exceeded my expectations! It was wonderful to be able to leave my supplies in the room and have a private comfortable space to pump. I could not be more appreciative. Eric truly went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and I couldn’t be a more satisfied customer! :)

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The reps we encountered were nice. Check in was easy. The room and space was good. The bed was really comfortable. I didn’t care for the bathroom. The sink was outside the bathroom I don’t typically like this set up. The bathroom was quite gloomy. The light was dull. The shower water pressure was low. There were lose floor tiles in the bathroom. It needed some updating. The air conditioner was very loud I am glad we didn’t need to use it.

Was arriving late evening and had to choose between staying in DC, where I’d have work meetings the following day, or next to IAD. I chose the Hyatt Dulles so that I could get to sleep faster and recover after the flight.
Big mistake. The shuttle from the airport leaves only once every half-​hour (you will notice that shuttles for several other airport-​adjacent hotels come twice as frequently), on the half-​hour. I hustled from deplaning to get to the 2H shuttle stop by 11:23pm. No shuttle at 11:30p. Not at 11:45p. Not at 12:00a. Finally, it rolls up at 12:06a. Then it takes 12 minutes to get to the hotel.
That’s 54 minutes. A colleague who deplaned after me had already checked into her hotel room in the heart of DC by the time the shuttle arrived. The Hyatt Dulles turned out to be 15 minutes farther from the airport than a DC hotel. Of course, at rush hour the math changes. But a 54 minute shuttle to an airport hotel just isn’t reliable enough for business travel.
The hotel manager contacted me afterward with an apology and some unsolicited compensation for the shuttle problem. Was impressed that her follow-​up was sincere and focused on solving the problem as a forward-​going management issue.

Very disappointing on so many levels. I have often stayed at Hyatt but the energy and customer service is off. I went to order room service and was greeted with «we open at 5.@ It was 5:30. Never thought I would long for a Holiday Inn but this place is isolated. Not very helpful (the staff.) my food was luke warm when I ordered. The waiter was a redeeming quality but I just perhaps was expecting a particular standard that was set by other Hyatts. Dreading the next few days cause I an here for business but am just disappointed. :(

Lots of luke warm food. Ordered the Salmon and cream cheese for breakfast and feel sickity sick sick.
Front desk might also get offended if you pay for items instead of charging it to the room cause that would require them being a cashier of sorts and apparently, that is offensive. I guess they want me to write an article on my experience, and I guess I should chronicle my misadventures in this sad stay.
So not customer oriented unless of course you fit a type. (Just sayin.)

We visited there to enjoy the cherry blossom festival in DC. We got a room reserved at Hyatt near the Dulles airport. As always hotels in the vicinity of DC downtown are priced on the higher side, but specially during the cherry blossom time it’s crazy expensive! We decided to rather drive 40 mins or take the train to DC than spending too much money on a cube-​sized hotel room. The Hyatt hotel room was very quiet, clean, comfortable; most importantly neighborhood looked safe and the residential apartments around that area looked really good. We really liked the locality!

We had both our wedding and reception here and it was a very good experience. I highly recommend the facility. Our wedding was back in 2004 and the chef at the time was excellent. If you’re thinking about having your wedding there, I recommend having dinner there first. They offer a lot of options in terms of menu.

Beautiful big clean hotel!
Business king with complementary breakfast for 1 is about $ 190 and extra breakfast $ 20. Not cheap but not too pricy.
The room is great. Living and bedroom are separated by a tall tv stand wall. A tiny fridge. Shower has great water pressure. You can borrow a microwave. Nice futon and pillows. Their amenities smell so good. No safety box. Water bottle $ 5. No wine glasses but a nice wine guide book.
Room service is ok. Hyatt has many free amenities. I always many. Slippers, tooth brush, tea, razor, … If you order more than 10, you don’t get right things. They bring them in a plastic bag. I got some stuff I didn’t order as usual. I keep trying this to check their service. None of Hyatts made it perfectly. It took more than 30mnts to receive them.
Gym is good enough. Weights, bench, water cooler, dry and wet towel, TV, magazines, headphones, …
Swimming pool is closed! What? Mon-​Thu. They open it only weekends?! I wanted to swim so bad when I was working out in gym. They are next each other.
Breakfast is great. $ 20 is big for breakfast but they have fresh and tasty food. Tea is TAZO and coffee is Starbucks. Fresh fruits, cereals, nuts, dried fruits, bread, beagle, muffin, omelette, sausage, baked potato, smoked salmon, cheese, … You must try their banana bread!
Elevator confuses many people. You have to put your card on a spot and push your floor button. Sounds easy but takes a while.
The staffs don’t smile much but they are sophisticated. Professional!
If you travel somewhere from Dulles airport, a good hotel for you. Free shuttle service and free parking up to 7 days.
I’m sure I’ll stay here again;)

Stayed here last night, nice size room. Excellent bar downstairs with very good food, reasonably priced if you get happy hour 4−6pm.$ 6 appetizers. Great cold beer on draft. Hotel shuttle was awesome and on time. Didn’t see workout room or much else due to late check-​in. Good staff. Will stay here again if in Dulles area

So my spontaneous husband and I have only been married a month, but we have gone on about six mini honeymoons thus far. IN doing so, we quickly realized what is good service and what isn’t. Which is a good hotel and which isn’t. They Hyatt of Dulles is great for several reasons.
1. The beds are absolutely comfy. We stayed for two nights. We arrived early evening and I feel asleep till the next morning after only initially hoping to test out the bed. The sheets are clean, crisp and made of Egyptian 300 count cotton. How do I know? They have a catalog with detailed information regarding every piece of furniture as well as, its towels, toiletries and bedding. The mattress was top notch as well.
2. We only had drinks and appetizers at the restaurant but the service was great
3. The new renovations were nice, lobby had a great feel too it and was also spacious.
4. Toiletries were top notch for me as they were hypoallergenic and they even had shaving gel and a razor!
Cons
1. The actual bathroom area is pretty small
2. There is no walkable dining or hangout spots. We went to Reston town center for dinner which was about a five-​seven minute drive. It was good for us as we wanted to stay away from the city-​city.
We will definitely be staying here again.

After a long day of working and flying from San Diego to DC, I was looking forward to a relaxing evening at the Hyatt-​Dulles. Unfortunately, the first thing I saw was a long hair in the bathtub. Ok… I could overlook that… until I found a second hair of a different color and type on the bathroom floor. That’s two different hairs from two very different people. Which automatically led me to believe… these bathrooms don’t get cleaned thoroughly so what else is crawling around?
So I called to the front desk, they were disgusted and said they would send someone up. I went down to the hotel bar to eat and work while they did that. Before I left to go site seeing, I stopped by the front desk to remind them to send someone. After a fun evening in DC… I come back to the room to find the same hairs in the same ace. The front desk said they sent someone up twice to clean the bathroom: I hope that’s not true because that really means the housekeeping is terrible.
I worked in hotels before including housekeeping… I know it’s a tough job. But if a customer complains about hair in the bathroom, you LOOK for the hairs and clean everything. I’m a loyal Hyatt customer and have never experienced this uncleanliness and employee apathy in one before. I hope this is a problem isolated to this hotel.

Stayed here last night and overall thought it was fine. It’s got a really nice lobby and pond. The elevator is kind of difficult to use. Had a deluxe room on the top floor so I was pretty happy with the room. Wifi was a little slow. Parking was free which is another plus. It’s definitely far from DC, but it is normally much cheaper as well. Would stay here again if we were flying out of IAD or needed to be near Sterling or Herndon.

My husband chose this location for a staycation for us but not before checking Unilocal reviews. Amateur.
The hotel itself was nice and clean and had a beautiful inviting lobby with a really awesome Koi pond that the kids loved. We checked in and went up to our room on the 12^th floor and had to use our room key card to get the elevator to work. This is a great security feature but was annoying when hubby had to go downstairs twice to get our teenager who didn’t have a key. The room was a good size, was clean and was one of the Pure rooms mentioned by a former reviewer. It has an air purifier and the bath ingredients are fragrance free and I think the pillows are hypo allergenic or something too. What I didn’t like about the room was that there was no dresser. None. I always like to unpack and put my clothes away as soon as I arrive but because there was no dresser you basically have to live out of your suitcase.
The things that I noticed here:
They have a mini store in the lobby that is, as expected, way overpriced. I bought a $ 4.00 bag of skittles for my little one but that was it. The chips and pretzels were $ 3.00 a bag! Ridiculous. Go to the grocery store down the road instead. The gym is really nice. Plenty of cardio and weight lifting equipment, towels, water, chilled towels, TV’s all along the wall and a bathroom with a changing area and shower. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi are a good size and in a very inviting environment. Nice lounge chairs, lifeguard on duty, towels provided and clean.
We got 3 coupons for free continental breakfast and paid $ 14.00 for one additional. If you want to upgrade to the hot food it’s $ 19.00 and then $ 5.00 if you have a voucher. The continental included stuff like fruit, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, toast, granola, nuts, smoked salmon, diced boiled eggs, capers, gherkins, and a dried ham and aged cheese. If you had the hot option it was stuff like bacon, sausages, omelettes, etc. You are seated and the waiter comes over and gets your drinks, collects your voucher and gives you your bill afterwards. And yes, we tipped him afterwards. Not sure if it’s standard to do so in this type of situation. The food was fine but I prefer to just have a free breakfast without the pomp and circumstance. Give me a plate and let me do what I do. Eat. The waiter was nice and all but it was a bit stuffy. I prefer casual.
Now on to the Wi-​Fi. It’s free, it’s not free, depends on who you ask. You can for sure get it free in the lobby. Call ahead to find out for sure.
One thing I noticed and posted a pic of, was when we were walking to our room someone came out and put their room service plate on the floor in the hallway, practically untouched. It was chips, guac and salsa. I said, «that’s not a good sign,» I guess it wasn’t good. The next day when we checked out around 1pm, it was still sitting there, almost 24 hours later. Not good.
Overall the place was decent but because of no dressers, the breakfast and the Wi-​Fi, I would probably choose a different hotel.

Got this place for a great rate on Hotwire. The hotel itself is okay. The rooms are comfy but a bit old and the hallways give off a weird smell but the staff is relatively friendly. There’s a nice big bar in the lobby and some outdoor seating out front. Not bad if you’re looking for a quick stay

My husband and I stayed here and found it to be a fine hotel. The beds are comfy, the staff is accommodating, and it’s a convenient place to stay when you’re heading to the airport or surrounding area (check out the Lost Rhino Brewing Company!).
We only had breakfast one day, but the continental breakfast was definitely more than I expected, with the option to upgrade your meal to a full breakfast for $ 5.
They have a good happy hour, though short, and the bartenders were all friendly and helpful. I do agree with a previous reviewer who said it would be nice if they expanded their menu a bit – if you eat here more than once the food gets a little boring. We had the quesadilla and the corn dogs, both of which were fine.
If you need a hotel in the area, this is a good bet.

My boyfriend, our friend, & I stayed here on a recent trip. The hotel is super clean & the décor is updated & visually pleasing. I enjoyed the downstairs area that is open with the bar & restaurant all in the same place of the lobby.
The problems that we had that are keeping me from giving 4 stars include:
–when our friend booked the rooms weeks ago he had reserved two double beds, but when we arrived we were told that there was a mistake & that we had a king bed, with a pullout couch. He was nice enough to give us the king bed, but I felt sorry for him when I saw the condition of the pullout couch. Broken springs & broken support for the mattress made it sink on one side.
–No exhaust fans in the bathroom. This makes it awkward for everyone ;-)
–Our door didn’t fully shut in the hotel room… you could see into the hallway about an inch, which means someone can see in. I would hate to be traveling alone in that room.
Over all I enjoyed our stay & when the remote for the tv in our room didn’t work they sent a friendly employee up right away. I don’t know if I’ll ever be back in the area, but I guess I would stay here again.

I loved staying here.
12^th floor had the air purifiers, and I would recommend staying on a floor that has the purifiers.
Every time I called front desk to ask about something, they addressed me by «Mrs _​_​_​_​_​». Very professional staff
My room had a fridge, so I went to the store and bough my own water, soda, and snacks.
Hotel bed was so comfortable.

Pillows were so wonderful that found the tag of the brand, came home and ordered 4 pillows for my own home!
Can’t wait to see if they are just the like hotels. If they are I’m ordering 4 more.
The complimentary shuttle to and from hotel was very helpful.
I travel for business a lot and most hotels I don’t think twice about.
I want to take a vacation to Herndon (and this is in a business park so there is nothing «fun» to do) just to have a get away, and another great night sleep!!!
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the restaurant dining.
Slow service and food was not that good.
I was there for a convention and none of us enjoyed the food.
Lesson learned.
I used Unilocal and found great dining areas to eat outside of the hotel. And I called papa johns.

Contrary to some of the reviews I’m reading, I really enjoyed this hotel. The airline I was flying with sent me here when my flight got cancelled. The room was big, clean and bed was comfortable. It’s extremely close to the airport, just wish it was closer to the city. The staff was VERY nice and helpful. The only reason I’m not giving it 5* is because I didn’t try their restaurant out. However, I did look at the menu and it was kind of pricey which was to be expected.
I would love to stay here again, however, I think when I go to DC to visit, I’m going to want to be closer to the city.
