I ended up taking my kid to see Dr. McIlveen after getting a recommendation from my daycare provider for a local dentist. I called the day before because I was concerned about some discoloration on my kid’s teeth, and they were able to squeeze me in first thing the very next day, which I thought was pretty nice. The waiting area has a nice kid’s area with some toys, books, and even a little room that has a few video game systems in there(where were those when I was growing up?!). We were seen around the time of our appointment, and both the dental hygienist and Dr. McIlveen made my kid feel very comfortable being in the dentist’s chair for the first time. They went over some brushing and flossing techniques for the little one and sent my kid off with a little goody bag and a bright, pearly white smile after what turned out to just be a much-needed cleaning to get rid of the discoloration that I was originally worried about. I was thinking about taking my kid to my own dentist later this year, but I think I’ll just stick with Dr. McIlveen’s office!
