History

Established in 2014.

Our founder started her cookie journey in the kitchen with her Dad in the 1980s but the idea for Noshy was launched in early December 2013 and by May 2014 we had made our first sale at the Leesburg Farmers Market in NoVa.

Noshy’s name and small packs of cookies came about because sometimes you «just want a little something.»

«Noshy» is from the Yiddish «to nosh» which is «to eat a snack or to nibble.»

Meet the Business Owner

Julie S.

Business Owner

Julie started her cookie journey in the kitchen with her Dad. Now, with Noshy, she combines her love of science and delicious things to come up with interesting flavor combinations.

Why cookies? They’re the perfect treat. You can throw some in a bag and take them to a party, with you on a trip, or bring them to work and make your coworkers love you. No utensils or napkins needed!

As Ina Garten said, «You can be miserable before you have a cookie and you can be miserable after you eat a cookie but you can’t be miserable while you are eating a cookie.»
