Rivera landscaping company removed my 3 huge fallen trees from last weeks storm. Great people and great service for the good price. I would recommend Rivera landscaping.

Highly recommend this company! I called about 8 other companies to get 6 really large trees removed and Rivera’s gave me the best price. When they came they did a STELLAR JOB! Save your time calling around different companies like I did… THIS IS THE COMPANY TO GO WITH! They had all of the work done is less than two days and left the yard looking amazing! They went above and beyond! They even removed some old rotten garden bed wood ties and graded/​smoothed the dirt as part of the work. I also found out that not only does Jorge and his team do other landscaping work, they also do other handy man work. I will be using them forever going forward for all the work that needs to be done at our home. I wish I knew about them sooner. I am so thankful I didnt go with the first company in the list and held out until I heard from them all… Rivera’s is what any home owner would want in a Landscaping company. It was like doing business with a trusted friend. Truly thankful to have hired an awesome company!

We’ve used Rivera’s for many years now and it is the most dependable lawn maintenance company we’ve engaged. Jorge Rivera’s crews are courteous and skilled. They have mowed our lawn, done extensive edging and mulch application, created numerous flower beds, removed weak or dead trees, trimmed most of our trees to promote better growth and ensure safety, performed applications for weed control, and installed sod. His office management is helpful and responsive. Jorge Rivera is creative, understands the value of customer service and has always been extremely satisfying to work with. He does what he says and is highly communicative with us if a schedule has to change. He’s always been there for us in a pinch — removing large fallen branches, both in our yard and our neighbor’s, after a wind or ice storm. Among many wannabes in our area’s competitive landscaping/​maintenance market, Mr. Rivera is a professional.

We have used Rivera’s Landscaping for 5 years. Rivera’s was recommended by the previous owner, and I have to say that Jorge and his men do a wonderful job for reasonable prices. We have used them for gardening, tree service and snow removal. During the big blizzard last year, they showed up before the streets got plowed. We are very happy with everything they have completed for us.

Working with Jorge’s team was so incredibly easy. I needed to get a large tree removed and was trying to find a lower estimate than the big tree companies gave, and Jorge Rivera delivered. I was able to deal with them exclusively through email, which was so great because getting to the phone while working all day is near impossible. They came out the day after I emailed them about an estimate and I was very pleased with the price. They were easy to schedule with and came out and removed the tree while I was away at work, and when I got home everything was cleaned up and it looked «almost» like they had never been there!

My neighbor uses this Rivera’s company and they keep his yard nice and clean. Unfortunately, I have caught them a couple of times blowing leaves from his property onto mine. It makes me wonder if I have to stand guard whenever they show up.

The short story:
I just had some work done yesterday by Rivera’s and it was a great experience (well, as great as can be expected for a tree removal). The crew arrived early and on time, they worked quickly, were friendly, were very professional. They didn’t damage any of my property, cleaned up their work area and removed a large maple tree in what I would describe as a somewhat complicated location in my front yard. Oh yeah, and they gave me a great price on it. I would recommend them for your landscaping needs.
The long story:
We had wanted the large maple tree in my front yard removed because it was smack dab in the power lines (and therefore trimmed very goofy by Dominion Power). It also hung over the street out front of our house, and parking under it always made me nervous because it had some «car killers» hanging out over my street parking. Lastly, it had branches that were in striking range of the front of my house. It was a tough decision, but we decided to bite the bullet and have the tree removed.
I contacted several Landscaping/​Tree service companies for quotes to have the tree removed. Jorge Rivera gave me a great price compared to the other companies I contacted. I was a little nervous at first going with the lowest cost bidder on a large tree that was capable of doing some damage to my house as well as hanging over a pretty busy street, but Mike the office manager set me at ease by telling me they were licensed and insured and that their crew were seasoned tree climbers and trimmers; there would be no issues. So, I agreed to the quote, signed it and emailed it back in, and Mike was able to get me on the schedule for the following Monday morning.
Monday morning came around, and I took off work (which wasn’t necessary, but my choice) to periodically oversee the operations. The crew worked efficiently and I was amazed at how quickly they were able to take down the tree, about 3 hours give or take. They had gas powered pole saws and trimmed out all the lower branches, then they had a climber get up into the canopy area and take out the highest branches. You could tell they were being careful and methodical with their work. While the branches were being cut down, they had another guy who was just feeding the wood chipper constantly; the HUNGRY HUNGRY wood chipper. Once all the branches were removed, they then begin chainsawing the trunk down to the stump. They split the big pieces and were able to pack it all in and out with their truck. I was getting tired just watching these guys work, but they didn’t stop or even take a break; they just pushed right on through. I kept a single piece of the trunk to remember the tree by and will use it as a seat in the garden. The crew leader informed me that they would be back later with the stump grinder to finish off the stump.
A few hours later, Jorge himself came by with another guy to make sure I was happy with how things went. Jorge was very friendly and a personable guy, he wanted to make sure I was happy with the work. They got to grinding that stump, and grinding it… and grinding it… they spent what must have been a couple hours grinding that stump. It generated a huge pile of mulch which I will be spreading in my backyard’s mulched areas and fence line. I must have moved like 15 wheelbarrows full of mulch from the pile and I bet there are another 15 still in the pile. That’s fine by me, I needed the mulch anyhow. I bet for an extra fee, Rivera’s would have taken it away, but again, I needed the mulch so I was happy to deal with it.
In the end, I was so happy with the work and price Rivera gave me, that I asked him about what other services they offered. I showed him around my yard and we talked about getting my yard core aerated (which I had been wanting to do, and fall is the time to do it). I anticipate I will be having Rivera do that in the upcoming weeks once we hash out the details.
So, thanks again to Jorge and the entire crew at Rivera’s! You guys did a great job at a reasonable price. I’m a happy customer.

We have used these guys for 4 projects over 2 years worth about $ 25K and simply love their work. They are honest and will give quotes based on what the customer wants but also have ideas that make a terrific outdoor project. I can’t say enough about Jorge (owner) and Santos (head crewman). They are great to work with and deliver what they promise. And always do the job at the quoted price. They are honest and fair. Give then a call or even reply to me if you have questions. I should have taken pictures of the stone wall they built. It’s simply gorgeous!
