After a few attempts, a couple of month ago, I found got hold of her and scheduled with her in her DC office. Had to travel all the way into the city. The first meet up was to measure and create the model for my feet (fiberglass solution plus bandage). She was pretty thorough and patient in the process, trying to explain the process and the orthotics as much as possible. It took about a week for the orthotics to be made, and she came to my office to do the fitting, and was again pretty thorough in the whole process. Was advised to wear it up gradually to adapt, however it did not give me day-​n-​night difference like some custom orthotics user claimed (other products), and her orthotics was a little bit thick which make the shoe fitting very very difficult. Her suggestion was to go a size up and go with wide shoe (I wear standard width), however, tried a few pair with the orthotics on in the shoe store and found out it did not work that way. The limiting factor for me was the height of the toe cap and top layer, since the orthotics elevate my foot up, most of the shoes can’t accommodate that much. Up a size basically left an empty pocket in front of my toes in the toecap area, and increase width did not help either, since my feet weren’t widened.

Rachel made me a pair of orthotics for casual shoes. I’ve had orthotics in the past, but not like these! The ones I had before were ¾ length and hard as a rock! She made me full length inserts that gave both cushion and support, and explained how hers help correct more than one arch in the foot when the typical off the shelf ones do not. They took a few days to get used to, but are very comfortable. Once the orthotics were made she helped me find a perfect pair of casual walking shoes that looked great and gave me the support I needed.
The negative reviews I see on here don’t reflect my personal experience, they kind of seem like internet trolls. I will definitely use Soleful Orthotics again!

I called Racheal to set up an appoinment to get my orthodics top covers re-​done, she kept rescheduling with me. After finally setting up a date, literally one hour before I was suppose to drop off my insoles at her home in Herndon, she canceled on me, saying she was still in Winchester and would not be back till Monday. I found this to be very unprofessional of her.
On of that she told I could make payments by credit card over the phone.
I can’t believe I was almost scammed by some one who could not keep an appointment.
I do not recommend her business.

She stole my money and did not provide me with orthodics. I had to travel to her house to get her to do a refurb on my insoles, they came back to me smelling of toxic glue, and she pushed my met bump far back and used top covers that melted off after 3 or 4 runs. I wanted her to make adjustments, but she refushed unless I paid her to do adjustments, she was very rude, and could not commit to meet me a second time to fix what she had done. Please go to a doctor, they will at least do a free adjustments.

Rachel came to my house and did a thorough review of my foot and walking gait. She used video as well to make sure she could review my stance and gait when she made my orthodics. Rachel returned within the anticipated time frame to make sure the fitting was correct. The best part was that I needed an adjustment four months after she made them, and she updated them for free. All I had to do was ship her my orthodics and she shipped them back all ready to go. I would use her again and recommend her!

I have been a loyal customer of Soulful Orthotic Solutions for seven years now and I appreciate the time and effort Rachel puts into her evaluations and feedback. She is a certified pedorthist and is very professional, intelligent, and helpful. I have been pain free ever sense I started using her custom fit orthotics she made me. I recommend anyone who needs orthotics to use Soulful Orthotic Solutions!

Dunno why this horrible business practice has two different entries on Unilocal.But I’m going to post my review here as well.
I would leave zero star if I could. On paper, on photo, Rachel and this business seems like a legit hard-​working small business, but I’m experiencing irresponsible and business fraud right now. I bought a groupon which expires not til end of this year, and contacted her via email/​phone. First of all, her phone never got picked up, so I ended up sending email. She replied nicely and set up an appointment with me via google, all seems nice and legit. A day before appointment, she sent an email letting me know something came up that we needed to reschedule. We rescheduled and she never showed up for that. No phone calls, no emails for any explanation, she just simply vanished or ignored my correspondence for almost a month now. I actually checked these Unilocal reviews and google reviews before I even made the purchase, thinking the negative ones were probably individual bad experiences, until boom! Still waiting for her response before I bring this further to any authority. This feels bad! Be Aware!
Edit: She is still running a sale on Unilocal right now, I would strongly suggest looking away, fellas.

I would not use Soleful Orthotics or whatever new entity Rachel Eisenfeld has now. Rachel is extremely unreliable and difficult to get a hold of, so I wouldn’t trust her with any money. You are supposed to get your inserts in 1 week. She kept on delaying and delaying and eventually said her dad was sick and would get back to me when she could. She didn’t respond to my emails, and after 4 MONTHS of NO contact, I sent her a strongly worded email implying I would take action as necessary if she didn’t respond that day (I was going to file a complaint with the DC police for theft). Then she finally responded and processed my refund a week later. Just a miserable experience.

Rachel did a great job explaining everything and most importantly, the orthotics work great.

Rachel provides an incredible service. We met at the Comfort One Shoes on Dupont Cir. She evaluated my foot and then recorded my gait… showed me how orthotics would help and then made a casting of my foot using quick set gauze. No muss no fuss. she’s so gifted at customer service.
A week later I met her at the same place. She fitted my new orthotic to my shoe and then advised me of shoes that would be good for my feet.
Two weeks later I am noticing much less pain in my back, hips and knees. Well worth the time and money.
