Westerly at Worldgate Apartments

So far so good. Loved the services and customer relationships. I would definitely recommend my friends and family about this community. Lynnette and Megan handles the community very well.

We first moved in this community back in 2013. Then it was a great very quiet community in a central location. Office staff was friendly. As of mostly recently this area is going down hill. There is another apartment community that is within walking distance of Westerly and that community is not pleasant. We lived in the back of the westerly community close to the bridge leading to the trail. We have had many issues with people doing drug deals right in front of our complex, setting fires in the breeze ways of the apartment complex, and getting into people’s packages that are left on their door step. These people didn’t even live there! They live in the run down apartment community across the way and would come over to Westerly and cause trouble. There were also several issues with cars getting broken into. Our car was broken into busted up our window and westerly and their insurance would not replace it… We had complained about these issues and requested multiple times for them to please install some sort of security cameras so these idiots can be caught but no apparently their residents safety and property is not of importance to them. They will only put up cameras by the trash cans so they can fine people who are not throwing their trash away properly or by the doggie bathroom areas so they can also fine people who are not picking up dog poop. But thugs in the neighborhood is cool with them. No cameras for that. Since we had many issues with management and their lack of concern for their residents and their property we broke our lease after 2 years of living here. Now three months later we are having to continuously call and request our security deposit that they keep insisting they have sent. Clearly someone cannot get our address correct even though we have verified it with them multiple times. It’s not rocket science. I would stay away from this place. All they care about is taking your money.

It’s a great community. All the residents are wonderful, and the location can’t be beat. There is always parking and the area is quiet! The community areas are really well kept up. I like living here the staff are very friendly and maintenance usually responds in a timely fashion.

We live here about 2 years. It’s a great place. Maintains guys and people from leasing office are very professional and nice. Apartment is clean and quite. And it’s a great location is well.

I’m not sure what all the bad reviews are about. I’m a frequent Unilocaler and moved into this complex despite the reviews back in July… the apartments are quiet (as far as apartments go) and well-​maintained. We had a few things that needed fixing when we first moved in, but maintenance has been very good about answering all of our calls in a timely fashion. The office staff is supremely nice, and learn to know you very quickly. I also like that they have gas grills for residents to use, because we like to grill pretty often. Overall, pretty pleased!

If I could give this property zero stars I would! The management with this property is TERRIBLE! I had to call several times to have my tub fixed, and even after telling the property manager that I could not take a bath after waiting a week and the work order was never put in, she told me it was the weekend and nothing they could do! This company changes it’s fees at will and doesn’t notify the tenants. I found a roommate to take over my lease and Meghan told me that the fee was $ 400. I called Tom, the regional manager and he stated it was $ 100! Which is it??? I moved in and took over a lease for someone else and wasn’t charged a fee at all. When asked why I wasn’t notified, Tom said that it’s my responsibility to check to see if there are any changes! WHAT??? I have never heard of such bargaining management style and I’m seriously disappointed with this property. STAY AWAY! It’s not worth the headache. Every time I go to my car I see a new vacant unit — I now see why.

Neighbors smell of stinky rotten veggies and curry. Smell comes in your apartment and wakes you up and also you can’t invite people over. Visitor parking is bad, tow company are thieves. Not worth the price they charge for rent here. Unsafe feeling at night.

Just moved in 10 days ago, the place is pretty nice, the location is good, seems pretty safe and all. Yes the garbage does pile up and looks awful. one thing to note is there is no insulation or concrete slabs between floors so this means you hear your neighbor just doing normal activities like walking around. Wish they would have warned me I would have gotten a 4^th floor unit.

I lived in this apartment complex for 3 years and it was a pretty bad experience as far as management and the buildings go.
The apartments are about 12 years old and are falling apart. I think a big reason for that, is because they are not maintained properly. All the steps in the buildings are falling apart, there are roof leaks in a lot of the buildings, some apartments have roach and bedbug problems.
The trash piles up all around the dumpsters and looks disgusting! Sometimes, there are rats running around over there. The only thing that you can recycle is cardboard boxes, which I think is pretty crappy. All the paper, plastic, and glass are getting thrown away.
The management is not that great. I really think that their priorities are not straight. They get the landscaping done real nice and trees trimmed and the buildings painted but when it comes to the roof leaks and crumbling steps, they take their sweet time or do not take care of it at all!
