Quality Inn & Suites

I think this place is just ok. I saw all the other reviews but they were just a little too old and decided to chance it anyways. My husband, toddler, newborn and I stayed here for the night while passing through. It was clean and all but something about the room just needs to be updated. I don’t know what but you don’t get that excited feeling to be sleeping in a room a hotel like you would normally get. You’ll see for yourselves if you decide to stay. It had microwave, mini fridge, tv. The usual. I felt the room was a little small for two beds and it being meant for 4 people, it would’ve been a little cramped for 4 people and it was the first hotel we stayed in that was cramped with the play pen open. We went to the pool even though it was late in the night and they heated it up just for us so that was nice. I would stay here if I was in the area again because the price is decent, there’s continental breakfast and they did have ok customer service and clean above all. So yes I would recommend it.

No choice but to give one star. Stayed at this hotel for a cheer competition. Booked 2 days but the whole team had to evacuate cause they have bedbugs. Pool was never cleaned, dusty, stinky hallways, elevator doesnt work, no wifi, cant reached the desk and the breakfast, never eat it!!! They over charhe eveybidy amd until now they still owe us money. Manager «Patel» is very unprofessional, he yelled and scream. They even cut their phone lines so you cant call them back. I called their corporate office but unfortunately they help either. stay away from this place!!! Run!

Ok last minute decision to go stay at hershey. Hotel hallway smelled. No issues with staff but they could really smile a bit. Pool only 4 feet deep, so they should say that somewhere. Hotel pick somewhat based on having a pool. Doesn5 quite cut it for my 6 foot son. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really bad. Do yourself a favor and allot some time to go have a great breakfast at Soda Jerks (2.5m).

Hmmmm… I didn’t see the problems that some of the reviewers noted. I stayed for business for one night in early November and found the hotel to be clean and well maintained overall. Matress was brand new (room 221), tags still on it. Pillows were typical hotel quality — not great but can’t expect great. The whole room was clean including the bathroom and the whole room appeared to have been remodeled recently. No mold smell and no dirty linens hanging around. The shower had enough pressure and hot water. The guy at the front desk was nice enough. No problem connecting to their Wi-​Fi. Perhaps not all of the rooms were as well maintained as mine but overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would probably stay here again. My only fuss was the room full of super noisy 5 year olds across the hall and their useless and overwhelmed parents. No consideration for other guests but that’s not the fault of the hotel

I cannot give zero stars and this hotel does not deserve anything higher but zeros. This was last minute decision to stay at Quality Inn. Guess I should have thought it over a bit longer. It is a crappy hotel. While my wife checked in, I looked over the breakfast area. There were food particles on the floor, counters and even on the photos hanging over the food area. The room was okay, but cramped. The bathroom was disgusting with mold on the wall. The hotel claims free internet but never could connect. The air conditioner died halfway through the night and the coffee pot did not work. The manager was a real a-​hole when I told him about what was wrong in the room… he just did not care. He was even rude to my daughter who asked about the internet. We had reserved the room for two days, August 15 and 16. We were so disgusted with the hotel and staff that we checked out on August 15. I expected to only be charged for one day which the receipt showed no charge for August 16. However, once I arrived home and checked my credit card statement, Patel, who claimed to be the general manager charged me for the second day. I will fight this through my CC account and get my money back. This Patel is so crooked and a liar I cannot believe this hotel is allowed to be open. I will report this through the Hershey Chamber Of Commerce and hope that they will take notice. Word of caution with this hotel, pass it by and stay any where else. Worse hotel that I ever had the displeasure of staying.

Very very clean rooms, clean bathroom, brand new beds, flat screen tv, fridge, microwave, coffee maker. This room had it all. I would recommend staying on the 3^rd floor because the hotel in general has a mildew smell and the 3^rd floor had the least amount. Other than that, everything was great. Good service, extremely comfortable bed, and just very clean in general (and I’m really picky about that when I travel). If you have mold/​mildew allergies then it probably wouldn’t be a good place to stay, but for the record, the room was spotless & very comfortable.

Did a trip to the park and needed a place to crash for the night. Did not have a reservation and got a room no problem. It was clean and modern with fridge, microwave, coffee maker but the TV was a wide screen CRT! No matter as it had HDMI and was able to connect my computer no problem to watch a movie.
Pool was also very nice and recently updated. A bit shallow at only 4 ft but fine for a family with kids. My 3 year old daughter loved it and did not want to get out.
Breakfast was the standard corporate fair with round scrambled «Egg» patties, cereals, and bread. You can also make your own waffle but I would skip it as there are many good local places to get some grub.
Now while I did not have problems like the other 1 star reviews I went off season so if this place is packed maybe it would have been different. But as a seasoned traveler just make sure to always book your reservation with an Amex card and if the place is giving you the runaround or trying to overcharge you bail! No need to pay them your hard earned money.

I agree with Ruth, I wish I could give this hotel zero stars. A week ago, my boyfriend & I stayed here when we were in Hershey for an event. Our reservations were made by another party who paid for the room in full ahead of time. We still had to put a credit card down. When we arrived (at 6pm at night) we checked in to our room & found the bathroom was a handicap accessible room with an open shower (no tub). We immediately took our bags (within seconds) and went back out to the front desk to ask if it was possible to move to a room with a tub. The front desk clerk said sure, but there will be a $ 5 charge. We agreed (verbally) and then proceeded to our new room.
The next day when we checked out, the front desk clerk, who was also the manager, informed us he would be charging us for two rooms, the first room, which we spent 3 seconds in, & the second room we actually stayed in. He said since he wasn’t able to re– book the first room, we had to pay for it. Even if I had never worked in the hotel business, I would know this is absurd! We tried to discuss the matter rationally with him, but he only escalated the matter, and began arguing with us. He kept repeating the same sentences over and over again. He tried to have us sign a credit card charge for the additional charges and when we wouldn’t, he refused to give us any documentation regarding our stay, claiming it was against hospital policy to provide a receipt, stating «it’s our personal information.» When I asked to see said policy he refused to provide any documentation. When I asked to speak to the person above him, he stated there was no one above him. I asked him if there was a regional manager and he said no. Then I asked him if he was the President of Quality Inn Suites and he stated: «Yes I am, there is no one above me in the whole company»
As of now the charge is still pending on our credit card statement and we are filing a report with Quality Inn and likely with the Better Business Bureau.
This hotel NEVER get my business again and likely not any Quality Inn Hotels. I have spread the word to all of my friends and my family. I’m sure the company who booked to hotel for us will not be booking rooms at this hotel in the future either.
