SpringHill Suites Hershey Near the Park

wow these are refreshingly nice rooms. Free wifi, big beds, flat screens, hbo, separate living area and office, what more do you need? I just wish my girlfriend came with me!!! Anyone who gives this place less than 5 stars takes them self too seriously

The staff behind the front desk were very rude and downright disrespectful. I was very surprised and taken back by their poor behavior. I don’t expect that sort of conduct from anyone, especially so from an employee in a customer relations position. This is a shame because the other employees, such as housekeeping, were very friendly.

So — good. Nice. Lets go through the pros and cons.

We came here with my in-​laws who booked two rooms. Our room had a pull out couch, dining table, mini fridge and microwave. The tv was on a turn table which allowed you to watch the tv both in the living room and bedroom. The bedroom had a king size bed, which was clean and comfortable. The had a sink outside of the actual bathroom which was nice. The bathroom was late and spacious and if you wanted, there was a
small table you could bring in for an added shelving area. But as nice as the room was, the staff was even better. The next morning we had a continental breakfast, which was ok but it was nice to pick on. The staff allowed us to have a complimentary late check out at 1pm. We ended up going out to breakfast and came back later than anticipated. When my fiancée asked about staying longer they offered us the room for $ 10 an hour. Since we had more time, we were able to enjoy the gym on site which offered water, free earbuds, towels and was clean. Next to the gym they had a pool and hot tub. Around 4pm we went to check out and they waived the fee for the extra time. Everyone was so nice and it was so clean. I would definitely stay here again.

One of the worst stays I’ve ever had at a hotel. Stayed for two nights– rooms are not very clean and have dated décor. 2^nd night fire alarm started going off and woke up my children. Called the front desk and woman working the desk said it was nothing and that their fire system hasn’t been working for days (that’s reassuring). Finally get kids back down to sleep and fire alarm goes off again. By this time the fire department is here and wants everyone out of the building. The whole hotel evacuates and it turns out — no fire– just faulty equipment. We won’t be coming back here and I would recommend staying anywhere else in Hershey.

Not very impressed… this was an unpleasant surprise. First when we checked in they didn’t have a reservation under our name. Thank goodness I wrote down the confirmation number. Come to find out the lady who took my info spelled my last name wrong and wrote my email incorrect. The hot tub was down. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was horrible! It was very limited and then they ran out of oatmeal. They didn’t refill. No one was cleaning the tables as guest left. I had to wipe my own. It was also a small room that they squeezed in a lot of tables. I won’t be back.

For starters this hotel was very clean, up to date and staffed with very friendly folks! My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick get away and came to Hershey to tour the Hershey factory and troeges brewery. I opted to get the suite that had the jacuzzi bath and did not regret one penny! The room was clean, the bed was comfy and we had everything we needed. The room was fully stocked with towels, pillows, cups, coffee plates and ever two tvs! I will say as my step mom has a handicapped mother I was eager to tell her about it as the room was very spacious and very well equipped! If ever I am in the area I will stay here again and will recommend this hotel!

Middle of no where. No food or drinks nearby. Carb overload at breakfast.
The room was good, but a little over priced. From Hershey World, we took back (and the only) roads for what it seemed like forever (5 or so miles). We were looking for some drinks after dinner and had to drive quite a distance (more back roads) for some liquid refreshment. The breakfast lacked fresh fruit and variety. The coffee was terrible. It was so bad we went to Waffle House. Not sure why or when I will return to the area, but I will stay at another Marriott facility closer to anything.

This hotel was nice. Room had a contemporary feel but layout wasn’t good for a family of five. Two queen beds and a sofa bed met our sleeping needs, but the room isn’t much bigger than the beds. Bathroom layout meant only one person at the mirror at a time.
Breakfast was okay. Lots of carb options.
Overall it is a medium hotel. Quiet, clean and I’m well rested. That’s what I wanted and that’s what I got. No frills beyond the basics.

I stayed here earlier this week and really enjoyed everything! This was my first time staying in the Springhill Suites brand and to be honest, I was super nervous that the place was going to be grimy and unpleasant. My experience ended up being just the opposite!
The rooms were a good size, everything was super clean and the breakfast was fantastic. Free internet and a great fitness room to boot!
I attend a conference in Hershey every year and this year I waited too long and missed out on getting a room at the «conference hotel» — I am so glad that I waited, otherwise I wouldn’t have found this little gem.
I’ll be back next year!

I stay at mainly Marriott properties and this was not up to standards. The place is under renovations but this is not what I would even come close to expecting from Marriott. The rooms are extremely small and the whole inside looks nothing like a normal a Marriott property looks like. The bathroom was ok but smaller then most properties. From now on I’ll stay 10 miles up the rd at the Fairfield. Much nicer on the scale of this one.

This property, which hasn’t been renovated in years, should be dropped by Marriott. No thermostats, sink outside of restroom, narrow rooms pretending to be suites. Not a dump, bit basically a motel 6 with a Marriott sign.

I enjoy staying at this hotel. It’s a great location near Hersheypark and other area attractions. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The rooms in the king suites are spacious and include a mini fridge and a nice desk area. My only complaint is the very slow wireless internet.

I had to go to Hershey for work, my team (about 5 of us) and I finally got in around 9 pm; if you are used to a big city, all you can think is, great a small town out in the country, how happening is this going to be? As we walked in, the manager immediately greeted us by our first names, she was expecting us and actually knew our first names.
Our first day there we had to sit around and wait for transactions to occur before we could continue with our project, we were not allowed to leave at all. We begged to go down to the Hershey Chocolate World, which takes about 3 min. to get there but nope they said. The manager of the hotel noticed our boredom; our day finally done of sitting around and we were able to leave for dinner. When we returned to our room the manager put together a complimentary gift bag for us to remember Hershey. We were pleasantly surprised with the quaint little town and the accommodations offered. We found some great little restaurants and a bar to occupy us for the night. If I ever go back, I would love to stay at this hotel. The customer service was absolutely perfect and I was completely surprised by the whole experience.

The rooms are small. I mean very small, like trip over your bed when you come in the door, small. That said the bathroom was surprising the larger part of the room. I stayed in their king suite which included a kitchenette. The room was super clean and soundproof. The bed was nice and plush with lots of pillows. The free wireless internet was a nice perk and I had no lag or trouble connecting from my laptop. I didn’t care for the provided toiletries since smelt more manly and left a feeling of film on my skin. But since I packed in a rush and forgot my own soap, I had to use them. The only other thing I could call a complaint is that the only ice machine is on the ground floor near the lobby. I didn’t try the included breakfast but I saw them prepping it and it looked nice. I would probably stay there again if I am ever in the area.

I enjoy staying at this hotel. The front desk is always very welcoming and will assist you in anything you need. They must have a top notch cleaning crew because it is always sparkling and the free breakfast bar is decent. Great area to stay in if you want to go to the Hershey Outlets or any of the attractions in Hershey.
