Chester Cleaners

I had a great experience today with Chester Cleaners. At 8am I dropped off a suit for dry cleaning, 5 shirts for laundry, and a couple pounds of laundry for wash and fold. At 5pm I picked up all and everything looked good. They were very nice and overall it was a great experience.

We switched to this cleaner about two years ago and have been very pleased with the service. My husband generally drops off 5 — 10 items a week and has also gotten minor alterations and repairs done here. The best feature is the drive-​trough … Very convenient from eastchester and centennial.

I brought in a silk blouse to be dry cleaned. Whatever they did caused spots and striations to appear on the front and back, basically all over the blouse. I brought it to the owner’s attention last week and he said he would try to get the spots out, that the steam sometimes causes this. I went back in tonight to pick up the dry cleaning and his wife tells me that I must have spilled something on the blouse. However, the spots are all over the entire blouse. Front and back. There were no spots on the blouse when it was dropped off to be cleaned. When I asked for a refund of the $ 3.25 to be given, because I should not have to pay for them to ruin a blouse, the owner refused. He said they are not responsible for the spots and for me to take my business elsewhere. Extremely rude and belligerent and he can rest assured that thousands of dollars that I have spend on dry cleaning there every year will cease immediately!

So, Chester Cleaners is one of those places that you keep coming back to because of the people. Every time I come here to pick up or drop off my clothing I am always greeted with a smile and they bend over backwards to help you. I don’t think I have ever had a problem with my clothing here. Nothing lost, stolen, stained, burnt or coming home with busted buttons.
All in all this is a great place with reasonable rates.
My only complaint about this place, and nothing can really be done about it, is that it is so hard to get out of if you are trying to turn left on Eastchester.
