Liquid Salon and Spa

Heather no longer owns this salon. When she owned it all of the nail techs used sterilized packs of tools for each client, that is no longer the case. The salon is also not as clean as it used to be. The last few times I’ve been there the bathrooms were dirty, there were no paper towels, just a dirty hand towel, and no toilet paper. The rest of the salon does not look clean either. Although I had a great nail tech, I stopped getting pedicures for fear of the dirty pedi chairs. Although I am sure there are talented people that work there, if it isn’t clean, it doesn’t matter how talented they are. I was a loyal customer of this salon for many years, long after Heather sold it. I am afraid things have just gone down hill, and I can no longer recommend it.

I had the worst experience EVER!!! I bought a coupon for botox. I was the first appointment which was at 11:00. I sat and waited until 11:10. The person was rude. While talking I would comment or say something and she would roll her eyes and said she got interrupted. She did that several times. My coupon was for 15 units of botox. She put 10 units around my mouth and she said unless I buy more the other five units will just be wasted. In other wards she would not use them on me. I bought another $ 100 worth. It has now been almost two weeks and I have seen no results what so ever. I have always seen at the least the beginning of results a day later. Several days have gone by with no results and I became concerned. I called and left a message. Several days have gone by and no return call. I called back and no answer. I kept calling and finally someone picked up. She was great on the phone and had the owner call me back. The owner was also pleasant. The person who gave me the botox called me back the following day. She told me it takes time to have results. I have always seen the full results in the past by a week which by now it has been a week. She said wait another week and then I can purchase more If it didn’t work. WHAT??? Pay more??? I spent $ 250 on a product that didn’t work with her. If I was going to pay more I sure would not go to Liquid Salon. She told me she would have the receptionist call me to make an appointment and it has now been four days and I still have not heard from anyone!!! So now in two days it will be two weeks and still no sign of any Botox.

Was referred by someone I trust. Was not sure going to a «spa salon», but it was great. Had my hair cut by Brittany. She did a great job. Appointments made for my next cuts too.

Brittany Wilson does such a wonderful job!!! I have been going to her for years and she really knows my comfort level! Couldn’t ask for a better stylist. This is a really nice place with a relaxing environment. Great fit for me.

This place is your average salon. I was not impressed with my stylist and the salon itself as it was kind of dirty and outdated. I definitely would not recommend any other services such as Botox, fillers, etc. I was disappointed after I bought a Groupon and they didn’t mention up front that it was only for a specific person. I had to wait a month to get an appointment for someone who was not even a master stylist.

bought a group on for fillers. Ended up buying $ 500 more filler product. I got home the filler looked lop-​sided. I called the esthetician said to wait a week or 2. I did… still lop-​sided. I called again she said she would not fix it without me paying them more money. I also want to add that when she was injecting the filler I had mentioned that I felt that spot had need more. She convinced me otherwise. I will not go back. I had to go elsewhere to get this fixed :(

Make sure you have in writing what you will be charged at the end of service — I was charged double what I was quoted. The owner did call and offer me teeth whitening… What a joke. The right thing to do was honor what both the receptionist and the manager had told me the price would be

What a horrible experience I had. Worse place, worse way to start a business. I would never recommend the Liquid Salon. The owner is very rude and all she wants is to make money on her benefit. Too bad.

My husband surprised me with a mani/​pedi & hair color/​high lights & cut for my bday. Tina was awesome in helping him schedule & was right on with pricing. The receptionist that checked me in was so warm & helpful. Sarah did my hair & I love it! She is so professional & thorough, she did an amazing job. Pam did my mani/​pedi & was very professional & did a great job! The prices were great & they were wonderful to me! They have a new, loyal client for sure!

Needed a touch up on my color. I had gone to another salon by my work on Saturday and my hair turned neon pink. I needed an appointment before work saw it. I called the salon and they fit me in the same day. Sarah was my colorist and she explained I just needed a double dose of color. Said when the other salon bleached my hair that the color didn’t stick right. She went off to mix me another batch and gave me a glass of wine while waiting. 30 minutes later my hair was back to red. Everyone was pleasant and welcoming. I will be back.

Redeemed a groupon for teeth whitening. Bill was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. All 3 of my visits were great. If they needed to reschedule me, they really worked with me to find something for me. Great experience!

After reading reviews was a little skeptical about the place, but glad I ignored the nay sayers and went with my gut! I called on a national holiday and was able to make a half day at work! Sarah was my stylist and did a miracle on my dull hair which never is maintained well to begin with. I went in for the first time for a color/​partial highlights and cut and got the exact color I was looking for! Sarah was great and the work she did was excellent! I’m always wary of my back of my head and it turned out to be gorgeous! It wasn’t till I was at the hair dryer to I heard a bonus of beer and wine served to clients! Yeah you can read my bio! ;-) At any rate, they have gained a client whom is happy to refer to the business!

This is the first review I’ve ever written. If I was a frequent review writer, most of mine would be positive so I kind of feel bad making my first review a negative one, but this experience warrants it. I want to start by saying that I don’t think my experience is the norm at this salon. I think they probably have talented stylists there. But this was my experience.
I scheduled a highlight and cut with one stylist, then immediately following was scheduled for a Brazilian Blowout with a different, certified stylist (Groupon). Chris (a male) was the stylist for the highlights and cut. What I requested and he verbally confirmed with me was partial peek-​a-​boo highlights (no highlights on the top layer, only chunky ones underneath). As I explained to him, I do my own dark brown root touch ups on my temples and crown because my grey in that area requires it every 4 weeks. I didn’t want to have to mess with highlights to do my touch ups or pay to have it done that frequently. I have had a wonderful stylist who did this all the time where I just moved from. This is not something unusual and he communicated that he fully understood. I also wanted a cut exactly like I already had, just about ½−¾ of an inch shorter. Easy cut. Shoulder length bob, with layers only on the bottom ¹⁄₃ of length so the bottoms tapers and doesn’t end bluntly. One of the easiest cuts there is. I walked out with FULL highlights, including the temples and crown, and the the right side noticeably longer than the left (unfortunately I didn’t get to see it enough to catch that). In addition to being uneven, he didn’t taper/​layer the bottom at all so the look was very blunt and cheap (Super Cuts) looking.
Also, because he chose to do full highlights instead of partials, it took way longer and he made me miss my appointment with the woman who was going to do the Brazilian Blowout. He said he would do it. I’ve only had it done once before so didn’t remember the process perfectly, but kept feeling like things were going in the wrong order. And because he was running so far behind, he had a girl who is only supposed to wash hair (she’s attending school but not licensed yet, and also just happens to be his girlfriend… oh my gosh!) do things for him like blow dry my hair, etc, while he took his next appointment. Come to find out, he WAS doing it wrong. Its supposed to be that you put the solution on the hair, blow dry it, and then use a straightening iron to set the solution into the hair (I had to do a little research after I left to recall what was supposed to happen). What he actually did though, was put the solution on, blow dry it, THEN WASH IT, then blow dry it again (well the girlfriend did), and then finally straight ironed it. He WASHED the solution out before setting it so defeated the whole purpose!!! I actually don’t think he was certified because that is a major mistake that never should have happened.
So I left with highlights that would require much more $$ and upkeep than what I requested and nothing like I asked for, a very poorly done, lopsided haircut, and a botched and ineffective blowout and was there for 4.5 hours!!!
I am not a confrontational person. Sometimes I wish I was, but I’m just not. I wish I would have spoken up a million times during all this but it just isn’t in my personality to be critical of someone to their face. And I shouldn’t have to. I called and left two messages with the owner and she never returned my call. She was present while I was getting this done and she was aware that he made me miss the appointment for the blowout, and I could tell she wasn’t happy with him, so I know she knew exactly what my messages were regarding. The fact she didn’t return either of my calls was what finally pushed me to write this review. I would have never written this if she would have at least attempted to make things right. Unless you know someone who can personally vouch for a specific stylist there, I would not recommend this salon.

The salon is great but was upset to see that my favorite stylist Dana was no longer around. As a man I don’t really care about these kind of things, but the compliments I was getting on my hair, especially by women (!!) made me keep coming back to Dana. You can imagine my surprise when I came in one day and found she was no longer @ Liquid Salon.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel tho. I managed to track down Dana to a little Salon on Arapahoe & Quebec called Bellezza. If your like me n just looking for an inexpensive quality haircut seek out Dana!

I called in at 3pm on a Tuesday and they were able to fit me in at 6pm. After a short wait, Chris introduced himself and I told him I just wanted my style cleaned up, with a bang trim. Seriously, Chris is magic. Not only did he improve my hairstyle, he also wasn’t afraid to suggest things to make my current style better, like dramatically reshaped, new bangs (I love my new bangs). Oh yeah, and he did this all to my coarse, thick, long Asian hair in half as much time as it takes other stylists.
Haven’t tried their other services but Liquid is def my new place for hair.

I had a brazillian blowout on a groupon and it was HORRIBLE. My hair 3 weeks late was curly. Be sure you don’t use the person on the groupon. Waste of money. I have had tons of these and this one was the worst by far. That is why without she charges the same. It’s worth it to go somewhere else. The shop changed owners and since then it’s gone down hill.

My friend and I went in for a mani-​pedi, massage, and Microderm facial and it was all amazing! They just changed ownership and everyone working there got along great, and was so positive! The services were all excellent and I would recommend this to anyone needing a day to recharge. You deserve to be pampered…

I purchased a Groupon for a facial, 60 minute massage, and mani/​pedi. I was offered a glass of wine, and given a neck wrap while waiting in the front lobby to be called back for my services. About 10 minutes after my appt start time, I was taken back for my facial. There was another lady using the same package as I was, and she went back for her massage at the same time. The facial was nice, and the esthetician was pleasant. There was no hand or shoulder massage as there usually is with a facial. Liquid does not provide robes of any kind, so I had to re-​dress to go out and wait for my massage. I waited about 10 minutes for the MT to finish with the other lady and get the room ready for me. When I went in to get undressed again, I noticed the other lady’s neck wrap was still in the room where she had taken it off. Not very observant cleaning of the room.
The massage table was the most uncomfortable table I have ever been on. The face rest was very hard and gave me a headache. The massage itself was just okay. The MT seemed inexperienced, especially when it came to adjusting the drape. After starting so late, the actual massage only lasted 45 minutes, so I was shorted 15 minutes. I didn’t mind too much, as I was ready for it to be over and get out of there by this point. Manicure and pedicure were good. I asked about their standard pricing for tipping purposes, and they are very high for the level of service and amenities (not) received. I would not recommend Liquod.

My friend set-​up a surprise birthday mani and pedi. I honestly haven’t been a regular here probably for the last year or so things had changed quite a bit. It is in the middle of a «re-​model» with evidence of paint prepping, etc. I only recognized one or two faces… of the few that appeared to be working. There were lots of empty stations… though maybe they cleared things out for the painting process? Not sure. The new owner is changing quite a few things.
Since I had already treated myself to a mani and pedi just earlier in the week, I ended up just doing a re-​polish on my fingernails and got a complimentary leg massage while my friend got her toenails done. We also spiffied up our eyebrows… but I am not sure if I could really tell much was accomplished.
So as far as the quality of services and energy of the place, the jury is still out… but when I saw how much my friend paid for the services, unfortunately, unless things change, I doubt either of us will be returning :(.
