Guess they’re out of business now. Not even a notice on the door. Just emptied out and the phone has a constant«busy» signal(remember those?). They should at least update their site. I got to say being closed on Sunday and Monday was not a good idea, especially during football season. New restaurants can’t afford to be taking days off their first few years if at all. It’s a cut throat business with all the chains and it being open on Sunday, I mean, wow. That is the day everyone wants to be lazy and eat out.

My family and I got pizza here regularly. Unfortunately, when we came last week… It appears it’s CLOSED. Cleared out completely. No notice — just gone. Too bad.

This place was ok. I thought it was a bit pricey for Hillsboro. The pizza is more a gourmet pizza. Would I eat here again yes if I was buying.

By my definition: a good wood fired, artisan pizza is thin, crunchy crust, cooked through, not soggy, lot’s of tasty-chewey 4-cheeses with pepperoni, sufficient tomato sauce with depth of flavor and toppings fanning out close to the edge of the crust. This pizza was 16 inches for $ 20. Try it, you’ll like it! Ambiance and service are right on! Pizza on the main city drag in Hillsboro!

Omg the pizza is scrumptious! Haha finally found a good time to use that word but this place deserves it! I want expecting much but the pizza had a lot if depth to it! The staff is friendly and the décor doesn’t make my eyes bleed. Only gripe is it took a couple tries to find the restaurant.

I love this place. The pizza is fired in a wood fire oven from Italy. All the choices are unique and the live music is super fun. The restaurant is half seating around the oven, which I like. I love to watch people prepare food. The other half is tables on the music side. With great art on the walls, all of it local and for sale, I’ve gone back for pieces, only to find they are gone. If you snooze you’ll lose. Have I mentioned the pizza? It’s crust is exceptional. I suggest the $ 6 salad. It has everything on it. And depending on the day I get the meatza pizza or the Mateo.(It’s vegaterian.) all and all. I keep coming back.

Casual, friendly and good food. Enjoyed the music and loved the family size salad with pizza. Easy going neighborhood feel perfect for the whole family.

My wife and I stopped in to have some Earth Pizza. Now the name would imply earth friendly right? But then they served the pizza with paper plates. Tonight they had live music but it was too loud for such a small venue. Eric S. Below summed the place up pretty well. The pizza was good but the edges were burnt.

Well pulling a star due to no change in food quality,(pizza crust burnt again) music that is far too loud for the room and when I asked for a soda refill I was told I would have to pay for it. Place was dead. Doors open and it was cold cold cold. But the«band» was warm. I guess customers don’t count. Do yourself a favor before you go read the not recommended reviews.

I should have noticed something was wrong when the kitchen staff was sitting at the table out front eating at 7pm on a Saturday night. We walked in as the only patrons and sort of had to sit far away from the live band as possible as they were, in my opinion, too loud for the room. First impression was that this was somewhat of an upscale pizza place and then we were served paper plates which I never knew I cared about. But really, paper plates? If that is actually the more environmentally friendly, then ok I guess, but it seems so out of character to the otherwise upscale décor. But then our pepperoni, FRESHBASIL, and olive pizza arrived, with NO fresh basil. When asked, our server said«oh no, it’s just baked in». I mean that’s what most people do with fresh basil right, chop it up into tiny fragments and«bake it» into the pizza such that you can’t see it or taste it? My other gripe, at the risk of now being ignored because I sound like a generally cranky person, is that we were the only ones there and they had one pizza to make and it came out with a very well done(read black) crust rim. They burned it! There’s a lot of good reviews so maybe our experience is an outlier, but I did not have a good experience and would suggest going somewhere’s else.

We really enjoy this place. The pizza is pretty dang good and reasonably priced as well. The lunch specials are great. We bring our dog and sit outside after the farmers market and they bring him a bowl of water. Great atmosphere with live music and super friendly staff.

I went here for lunch. The service was kind of awkward. I got two slices of pizza and it was kind of hard like it had been sitting for awhile. Not as fresh as I had hoped. I probably need to go in again. maybe they were having an off day. I most likely won’t though.

Sat before 5pm happy hour pizza by slice $ 3.00/slice and drafts $ 4.00 Opted for the hawaiian, pepperoni and a reccommended Draft beer… Rasberry Wheat,(Razz Wheat, by Local brewery, Vertigo Brewing, Hillsboro) Was skeptical of a fruity beer, but had faint notes of razz, served iced cold, great with slices. Pizza comes thin crust, by slice, happy hr. Or family style, also had gluten free veggie, with artichokes for $ 15.00 a little on steep side for a 10 inch, but it is a specialty pizza. Great taste, great gf dough, im thinking potato starch based. Live music at 8pm, did hang out, live band at the civic center, is this Hillsboro? Wow. Had a small town feel… amongst us urban dwellers and farmers. I would go back, not best in town, but good pizza, plus oven fired. Waitress is very friendly… A+ for cust serv. B– for Pizza. B+ setting venue.

Tasty pizza and quick, friendly service. It’s pretty thin(New York style) and has some grease on it, but great flavor. My friend ordered their pizza, salad & drink combo and the salad was small but looked good.

This place was good, I got the margherita pizza, because I personally believe the best way to judge a pizza place is by simple toppings that you get at other pizza places. It’s not fair to compare a cheese to a fancy pizza with mushrooms, feta, etc. And, I really like margherita pizzas so that makes it easy. They used Roma tomatoes, I believe, and they were very flavorful and colorful. And, they were more frequent then what I’ve seen in other margherita pizzas, I liked that. Also, they were very quick, that was really nice. However, the crust was a little bit weird to me. It was really thin and papery almost like a pita bread crust, it took me about 3 slices before I really started to like it! Also, I had a little bit of reading to do, and I really like that the staff let me hang out and read and didn’t rush me out the door, or bombard me to order other things. I really, really like that. This place is a great destination, not just a quick stop. I will definitely be back here!

I stopped in for the lunch special… A slice and a salad, pretty typical of a pizza joint. Note that not all of their pizzas listed on their online menu are available by the slice — I’d say that half or so of them are. The pizza is better than the typical greasefest but isn’t otherwise all that notable. The toppings aren’t that crazy in this world of put-it-all-on pizzas. Still, the pizza was good and it was fresh. So it definitely met expectations. One nice surprise was the orange vinaigrette that they offered on the salad. Quite tasty and not über sweet — it was just right. The portions are a bit on the light side, which makes this an OK, but not a great lunch spot. Service was quite prompt and the place was pretty comfy. I’d give it a shot if you’re craving a slice.

I went there on a lark with my teen-aged son. We wanted some pizza, but something different. Earth Oven lives up to that expectation. It’s an interesting place, with a nice staff, if you take the time to talk to them. They have constant live music, which is… varied. Apparently there are some regulars who have ‘set’ nights they play, and have groupies/fans that show up to listen… to the same music… every time. The pizza was pretty fast in coming out — we watched it bake in about 2 – 3 minutes. There’s only 1 size, really, and it serves two hungry people just fine. We downed it fast with our root beers — all in all, a good outing — we’ll be back…

The pizza… the music… the quaint lil’ four seat bar in the back… the smell of fresh wood oven pizza with high quality toppings baking in the corner… magic… The hubs and I have been here several times and it has always been a wonderful experience. The the staff is very outgoing and love to talk about their pizza and carefully selected beer and wine. This really isn’t the wolf-it-down-and-prepare-for-the-bloat type of pizza. It’s more of the eat slowly, enjoy the fresh ingredients, and listen to the daily entertainment while sipping a glass of vino(OR a brew… pick you poison) kind of pizza. It might be more ont he spendy side for most to feed the fam, but their salads are pretty big and they are happy to split them between two people, which can help the pocketbook. Great date night place, but families will feel right at home too. Highly recommend.

Earth Oven Pizza [ E ] Enormous slices of wood-fired cooked pizza! [ A ] «Artisanal pizzas made in Neopolitan style» is their motto [ R ] Really flavorful pizzas! They have many flavors to choose from! [ T ] To-go options are available if you don’t want to dine-in. [ H ] HULUPIZZA — made with Canadian bacon + pineapple + fresh basil. Consider it their Hawaiian style pizza. I liked that it had a bunch of toppings. I didn’t like that this pre-made slice($ 3.75/slice) had a burnt crust — that was difficult to manipulate. [ O ] Only closed on Sun & Mon. Open Tues-Thur 11 – 8 pm, Fri 11 – 9 pm, and Sat 12 – 9 pm [ V ] Variety! They have options for those who want gluten-free crusts and/or dairy-free cheeses [ E ] Eat this — MATEOPIZZA: mushrooms + artichokes + feta cheese + olives + onions + fresh greens + basil. Consider it a Mediterranean style pizza. I ordered a slice to-go. Very flavorful, but like my Hawaiian pizza, the pre-made slice had too much of a burnt crust when the«re-heated» it in their wood-fired oven… [ N ] NOCHANGE! For 2 slices, my bill rung up to $ 7.50. I paid with a $ 10 bill and they didn’t have any $ 1 to pay me back. The girl at the counter apologized for being short-handed(and unprepared) and said she’d get change. I completely forgot about getting my change by the time I got my slices given to me, but I guess consider it a $ 2.50 tip… Sad thing was that I was the only one who was in the resto when I got my food and they didn’t give me a receipt. For those who come here, it maybe easier to pay by card since they don’t have any change. Many of my co-workers raved about this venue, I probably came on an «off» day. I would give this place another try. Hopefully they have change if I pay in cash again…
