Established in 2010.

NW Lock Service is a local Hillsboro Oregon locksmith shop focusing entirely on locks and security products, founded and managed by Jeremy Kaminsky, an experienced, certified locksmith. They have a storefront which sells lock hardware and services to building management companies, businesses, homeowners, and renters in the community.

I would have preferred to leave a good comment, but I won’t. I left a voicemail and sent an email last week and haven’t heard a word from him. I even got the email from Unilocal saying «Just wanted to let you know that we haven’t heard anything back from them yet. Bummer!» If this is excellent customer service, then that phrase will need to be redefined.
Update — see the reply from the business owner and the date it was written — the day after I left my review. Funny, he’s too busy to reply to a business call, but replied to my review within 24 hours. Read into that what you will.

OK… my past experience with locksmiths have always left me wanting to change my locks again after they left but Jeremy is my go-​to guy. There is no one else that I would call… period! I am a real estate agent and deal with many contractors on a daily basis. I have to say that Jeremy is one of the best! He is punctual, reliable, and does good work. Every single one of my clients that has used him has given him rave reviews as well. As much as I’d like to keep him as my secret weapon where locks are concerned, his good work deserves public kudos! Well, if I could give zero stars I would. This really smells of a business that pays for fake reviews –given their stellar rating. I have spent over a week now trying to get someone to call me back. I have left two voice mail messages and filled out their online web contact form three times to no avail. It’s all good though, someone else wanted to take my money in exchange for their services and those folks did a really good job, so all is well that ends well I guess. It is just curious how a business that does as much bragging as Kaminsky does can stay in business by never even calling to say «got your message, sorry we took so long» after two full weeks of crickets chirping.

Yes, use this guy!
I needed a new lock installed on custom solid hardwood doors and no other locksmith was comfortable doing this; most didn’t even return my call. I dealt with Jeremy completely via email to set up and coordinate the appointment (which is how I prefer).
He was on time, friendly, and faster than quoted. The process of drilling out the new hole made a small mess, which he cleaned up with his own tiny portable shop vac. He’s a total professional and told me that he believes it’s the attention to detail which makes him successful. I was totally comfortable having him in my home.
He accepts credit cards on his phone, and emailed me a receipt.

Sadly, this was not our first time (this year) to need a locksmith. But we said goodbye to Jeremy knowing that when we need one again, we’re calling him! He picked up his phone when we called; he was faster to the house than he quoted; and he was quick, friendly, professional and over delivered (by oiling up our other locks for smoother unlocking.) He made the entire situation seem like a walk in the park. Thank you, Jeremy! Hope we don’t need a locksmith soon, but if we do, we’re calling you!

I needed locks changed on a new house, and help with consolidating 4 separate keys down to 2. (Who wants to carry around 4 keys for one house?!)
His pricing was clear. No fee just to show up like some locksmiths, and he didn’t try to talk us into anything fancy.

lost/​stolen keys for a vehicle recently. Jeremy called to give me a heads up before he arrived (earlier than scheduled) and was even done before the scheduled appointment.
Fast and amazing service.
He even was outside in the cold for several minutes making my keys.
Charged a good price (120 for two keys with only using the code) compared to another company that was late and were going to charge me too much.
Will definately go back to his comany if I need to.

This place is highly deserving of it’s excellent reviews. Jeremy responded to my location within 30 minutes of my call and unlocked my car in minutes. Because it was raining he advised me to stay in the restaurant and brought the key right to my table. Although it was an expensive mistake, Kaminsky minimized the impact on my day and reminded me to submit the receipt to my insurance company who might cover it.
