What a scam! First they lure you in with groceries that soon disappear, then they steal your food stamps, wait for you to pay your rent of $ 900, then evict you with ½ hour’s notice. They did it to me, the girl before me, the girl before her, and so on. Rip off! Filed a claim with HUD. The manager Kat is crazy, and apparently the two managers before her were crazy. Save your money, keep your food stamps in your pocket, and look elsewhere!

Peace of Joe is a great sober living home. You also must have thirty days clean and sober, working the twelve step program and have a sponsor in order to become a resident. The household rules are very reasonable. Grocery shopping is done every week and we ALWAYS get what we ask for when we put a list together. It is important to be specific about what you want. When you are willing to actively participate as a resident and a recovering women, the experience will be rewarding. Cleaning up after yourself and being respectful to the other women you live with is very much encouraged. In my personal experience, I have found the owner, Lisa Lupo, to be a very kind and honest person. I feel great about Peace of Joe so far and I have lived there for almost three weeks.
