Shelley’s practice focuses on Esoteric Acupuncture Therapy, supporting spiritual exploration, meditation, relaxation, and health maintenance.

This specialty is helpful for enhancing intuitive abilities and creativity, improving sleep, stress management, managing addictive behavior, and emotional balance.

Treatments are 30 minute to 2 hours in length. None needle therapy available on request. Herbal and nutritional consult are available.

Established in 1996.

Shelley P. Ashford, L.Ac. has been in practice since 1996. Her first acupuncture practice was in Arizona. In 2006, Shelley moved to Portland, Oregon for some cooler weather and for the beautiful trees and flowers.

Shelley Patrice Ashford is nationally board certified and licensed acupuncturist. She is a graduate of the International Institute of Chinese Medicine, Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has seventeen years of clinical experience, providing care for a wide variety of health concerns. She has formal training in Qi Gong and Tai Chi.

Shelley also holds a Bachelor degree in Psychology (University of Colorado, Boulder). She worked in behavioral health for six years before pursuing her education in Oriental Medicine.

Shelley is an experienced teacher of Oriental Medicine. She now serves as a Clinic Supervisor at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine Acupuncture and Herbal Clinic (Portland, OR). She has taught at the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (Phoenix, AZ), and the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (Tempe, AZ).
