Sea Monkeys Watersports

Went jet skiing this morning – saw several dolphins and even 2 manatees! Really enjoyed that idle time was minimal – this was our first time jet skiing at Sea Monkeys and the previous jet ski place had a lot of wasted time in idle getting to the open area. We also kayaked here during our last visit 2 years ago. They offer a nice (greatly appreciated) military discount.

Neil was professional, helpful and very accommodating. His whole staff was amazing. Very impressive little outfit!

Neil the owner is awesome! Sea monkeys is a great place to rent jet skis, kayaks and boats. My husband and I have rented a boat several times and it couldn’t have been easier and more enjoyable. They were well organized and very professional. Waters were on boat for us, pulled up to dock and ready to go! Will be using this place for any water activities!

My husband and I had a delightful hour long kayak paddle to Pinckney island. The oyster beds were fascinating we were almost at low tide and observed their complex filtering behavior. Sea Monkeys was great and DeeJay in particular was most informative and helpful! He cautioned us as to potential squalls and winds. Will definitely be back!

Had a good experience here. It was a little bit confusing at start, in terms of where do we go and when do we get on the jetski (apparently they had some maintenance problems) but it all worked out.
They also could do a better job explaining exactly where you’re allowed to go when you’re out, but that’s a minor thing.
Overall a good place.

Great way to spend a little over an hour on HHI! (Or longer if you are up for it) These guys do a terrific job of allowing skilled riders to enjoy themselves and newbies to learn the ways of the Waverunner. This late in the season the Waverunners show some wear on the fiberglass, but they run great and made for an awesome time for my family.
We rented one Waverunner for myself, my 16 year-​old son and 12 year-​old daughter. We brought our own life jackets (ski jackets) and had no problems at all. They supply life jackets if you need one for any size rider (most were Body Glove I think). Quick safety briefing followed by a waterside final chat and off we were. You follow your guide out of the marina area to the riding area on Skull Creek. We went near high tide so the riding area was plenty big. Slow idle off the ramp at the marina and within a few seconds you can be up to speed. No long idle restrictions near the marina. Brief slowdown as you cross under the bridge and then after a quick showing of the northern/​southern riding area boundaries, you are off. Stay away from shore and other boats. Our Waverunner with 3 on board adding to about 420 lbs maxed out at about 43 mph this day. Had a blast!
We definitely will return to Sea Monkeys as the price can’t be beat and you really do ride full speed almost from the time you get on until you get back. Just a couple of brief stops for instruction and that’s it! Well done guys!

Its impossible to imagine a better time or more exhilarating experience. Made the reservation over the phone when I saw that weather was going to be hot and no storms. Arrived at Sea Monkey and young lady took care of me and my daughter with ease and humor. After a «non-​painful» safety brief we were on our wave runner. The best thing about Sea Monkey is that after you’re mounted YOU BE FLYING thru the water in a minute. I’ve been to the other place with «cranky» Beth a couple of times. There they tell you 7.5min to get to the bay. But even at half power it takes 17min easy (and it’s painful!) Great job Monkey’s! See you next time.

These guys are the absolute best! I’ve gone jet skiing with them and most recently kayaking. The guided tour for kayaking is a must as they really knew their stuff. Our guide was Jonathan and he made the whole hour and a half worth it! These guys are dedicated to this business and it shows in all aspects.

5 STAR ALL THE WAY! The guy is super nice. We were worried about leaving keys and wallet with them but they are trustworthy. You will have a great time! We would recommend and go again! These guys are way better than the other ski rental places on the island.

I highly recommend Sea Monkeys for your Hilton Head Jet Ski experience. We’ve had great service each of the last two years. Their rates are competitive and their location is ideal! There is very little idling required to get to their large, calm, secluded play area on the back side of the island; meaning you can spend most of your time at full throttle!
I just took my two daughters on Tuesday morning @ 9am – the first trip of the day. Unfortunately, the wave runner that I shared with my daughter steadily lost power and could only achieve a top speed of 12 mph by the end of our rental. We were very disappointed. Neil and his staff were sincerely apologetic, and without me asking, he charged me only for the one wave runner that operated properly.
I immediately booked a return for Thursday at the same time. They remembered us from Tuesday and took extraordinary care of us. Our guide, Ryan, even allowed us to start running the waves immediately; since we were already familiar with the boundaries.
Mechanical problems cannot always be avoided, particularly in water sports. Immediately dealing with the problem in an ethical, client-​focused manner is clear evidence of a company and owner with integrity. I’ll definitely be back to Sea Monkeys next year!

We went today to ride waverunners. We had a blast! You are out for the perfect amount of time and you can really open up on the water. We took my kids and they loved it! We were treated with an amazing sight of large groups of dolphins. It’s definitely a memorable experience. Thanks to our guide, he was great!

Took the family out on wave runners yesterday afternoon and had a great time thanks to the folks at Sea Monkeys. From the phone reservation process to the greeting when we arrived to the goodbye the staff members were cheerful, professional and humorous.
I especially liked the fact that unlike Palmetto Bay Watersports, where the location requires a 7.5 minute no-​wake ride to and from the riding area, you are up to full speed 200 yards from the dock and can stay full speed all the way to the riding area. So, you get a full 1:15 ride rather than a one hour ride.
Great fun and we will definitely go back!

This is our fourth year using these guys for a 2 hour jet ski session. They are professional, responsive, and insure a safe day. They are also dedicated to making your day fun.
