Sundial Charters — Fishing and Nature tours specializes in taking small groups and individuals out by boat to explore the barrier islands of the Georgia Coast. Established in 1996, we have made thousands of people days off memorable. We offer fossil hunting, birding, salt marsh ecology, dolphin encounters, shelling and beach combing and ½ day light tackle fishing trips. Our fishing trips target Bass, Flounder, Trout and Sheepshead. We run trips daily and year round. Trips are educational, laid back, informative and custom tailored to suit your needs.

History

Established in 1996.

The owners/​captains have all grown up exploring and playing on the waters of the Georgia Coast. Wanting to share a love of our coast with people from all over the world, and make a living without ever leaving the waters of the Low country they established Sundial Charters — Fishing and Nature Tours. At that time there were few companies offering short, reasonably priced, nature trips to the barrier islands that would cater to the whole family. In the last fifteen years our business has steadily grown with over 75% of trips being solely eco-​tours. We lead field trips for the Georgia ornithological Society, Audubon Society, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Elisabeth’s on 37^th street, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Girl scouts of America, and numerous schools groups and clubs. The bulk of our customers are, nature enthusiasts that come year after year with their friends and children to celebrate the beauty of the Georgia coast.
